This review is a little late because we were there in May. Mr E. was so helpful with helping us pick the right bushes for the first part of my project. He sketched out the area on a sheet of paper and helped us pick out the right size bushes. Nice to see there are still businesses around that help you. The staff was very helpful too. I was there trying to pick up a tree with my wife and daughter. We were walking down a path and I was walking ahead of them. When I saw I was about to walk by a Mother and her teenage kids, who had a dog on a lease. I felt safe still my left hand was closed; when the dog jump up in the air and grabbed ahold of my shoulder. I got away with minimal damage thank God! When I went up front a very old women was there and I proceeded to ask for an accident report and she acted like she didn't know anything about it, but she knew enough to say that they are not responsible for it. This is the second time I had Exley's design and install landscaping at my home. A few years ago, they did the backyard and I was so happy I knew when the time came, I would use them for the front. I'm so glad I did! I have neighbors stopping to compliment my landscaping. They put in all new plants/bushes and lighting in the front and new lighting on my back patio and back yard (I did not previously have lighting in the backyard). They also trimmed, weeded and mulched the back for me, making it look newly landscaped. I worked with Bill Exley both times and I can say without hesitation that if there is something you are not completely happy with or something you want changed, it is no problem - no attitude - they want to make sure you are 100% satisfied. It's such ashame they have the woman Tracy handle the customer service out in the garden center the place is stunning. I asked her if it was okay for me to not wear my mask since she didn't have one on she told me if I came to close she would cough on me. What kind of people do they have running that business? Extremely cocky and just unacceptable behavior planned on spending a lot of money to support a local company went to groffs in pitman and bought my trees there! Mr Exley's is the best. In 2014, he designed and installed are landscaping. In 2016, he designed and installed our fence of Arborvitae trees. We have received many compliments and several of our neighbors have tried to imitate our yard. Also, Mr Exley stops by from time to time to check on trees and bushes to make sure they're okay and gives us tips to help us keep them looking good. Everyone at Exley's is genuinely nice. read more

Exley's has a huge selection of Christmas trees! We only looked at the pre-cut trees, although they also have also have growing trees that you can tag yourself. Of the pre-cut trees, they had a wide selection of tree varieties, as well as heights and prices. The 4'-5' frasier furs were about $45 and the 5'-6' ones were $56. I didn't look at any larger trees. Despite the fact that we went on a busy Saturday, there were more than enough employees - all of the employees we interacted with were friendly and helpful. When we looked at wreaths, they didn't have quite what we were looking for, but Mr. Exley had an employee add pinecones and holly to a plain wreath so we could get exactly what we wanted! Plus, they only charged us for the plain wreath, not the added decorations. The employee who tied our tree to our car started walking away without any expectation of a tip - we had to chase him down to give it to him! They had a refreshment stand, an elaborate model train set, Santa Claus, and a kiddie train ride - it seems like a great place to bring a family. Overall, it was a nice experience at a family-run business. They had good prices (not too expensive), and I think we will be returning every Christmas. read more

Very disappointing. We bought tickets for our entire family that we were told was the "holiday band" which included hayride, train ride, Santa, and Santa land. We took the hayride to Santa land where the train ride was. And my young daughter was told she couldn't ride unless she had a specific blue ticket. Which we were NOT given, even after paying full price for my entire family. Will not be coming back. Although trees are nice they are extremely expensive and almost here (except the guys who cut the trees) are rude as hell. Super disappointing and way to not have any Christmas spirit. read more

Took the family for the first time yesterday to try to tag a tree. The ambiance is adorable and the workers are friendly- however after spending over an hour there it became apparent- All the good trees were already tagged or were 10 ft tall. We didn't think that could be possible since this is almost 40 days before christmas and the tagging weekend only started last week. Apparently if you don't go opening weekend you must be out of luck. Feeling defeated we got back in the car and the paper they had given us at the desk said "Visit our other location in Monroeville!" so we drove out there (further from home) hoping to have better luck, only to encounter a closed gate and a sign that said they did not open for another week. My family was disappointed and we will likely just end up at our local pop up tree lot this year. read more

The Christmas trees are over priced. The cheapest tree we saw was $45.00. I asked if the ones you cut down yourself were cheaper and I was told no the same prices as precut ones. I was also charged 18.00 for two adults and a child to ride out to see Santa and pick a tree from the farm this is in addition to the cost of the tree. I was refunded my $18.00 because I changed my mind before the ride. We left and went to Triple Dog Dare You Tree Farm in Franklinville. They are the best! read more

Be very careful to pay attention to the flags they have to designate where the trees for sale are. We went there on Friday and a guy directed us to a section of Canaan trees and we thought that we had an extensive selection only to be told after we made our pick that we picked in the closed section. We could have gotten over our disappointment except for the fact that when we expressed our displeasure at the confusion of the available trees, we were laughed at. The more we complained about his attitude, the more he laughed in our face! At one point we were told "it's only a tree". We've been picking our trees as a family event for thirty years which now includes our grand kids. It is certainly not just a tree for our family. Not to mention that they drilled the hole for our stand straight tree stand so crocked that we need a 2x4 and a few more shims just for the tree to not tip over in the stand, even sitting on the spike. I just had the worst interaction EVER with a business when I called Exley's. I recently had a car crash across my property causing damage to my landscaping, and my front yard looks simply awful. I was frustrated enough when the driver's insurance wanted me to do the legwork to get this fixed, but I had settled on Exley's to make this easy, and replace the damage with a local business. I would have then asked them for a proposal for additional landscaping including huge boulders to be sure that this doesn't happen again. Exleys wanted $50 to even come to my door!!! Insult was added to injury, and I will find another landscaper who actually wants my business without charging upfront for the pleasure of meeting them. UNBELIEVABLE! Way to blow an opportunity to get a whole lot of work, and they had ZERO phone manners or compassion for the situation. Mr. Exley Sr. actually argued with me when I protested the charge!! read more
