1.) They took a swing gate that I had set aside because I had already sold it to a friend. 3 times, I told 3 different people NOT to take it. Even went so far as hiding it on the side of my shed. They took it for scrap when I wasn't looking. Does anyone speak English anymore? Should I have hid it inside my house?
2.) Found 6 big pieces of metal on my lawn from the brackets that held the chain link fence to the support posts. Hit 1 with my mower and threw it before I realized what they had left behind. If it had hit me, I was going for stitches.
3.) When they pulled the metal support posts out of the ground, they pulverized the concrete, left in the ground and just covered with dirt/grass, rather than removing the entire piece. There are concrete pieces all over my side and back yards, which may take days to clean.
4.) They left a metal support base attached to the concrete in the ground. Looks like they just used an angle grinder to chop off the post and banged the metal to flatten it down a little. So now, I have to dig out myself.
5.) Left deep ruts in my lawn from the tracks on the stump puller.
*** I had a 70-ft tree removed last year by another company and you couldn't even tell they were here, except for the missing tree and some sawdust. ***
Thanks guys, great job. It's obvious, you were only here for the scrap metal value of the job. You probably should've paid us for the metal value alone. Sleep well, you should be proud, knowing you hustled a senior citizen.
Lesson learned, I should've just done it myself. read more
