He is passionate, caring, and doesn't put up with nonsense :-) He is also very flexible with parents' times and understand when you run late to pick up your kiddo, or have last minute reschedule needs. When he opened his own pre/after school care, it was no brainer for us to sign up both boys with Small Characters. The school has been very successful and extremely popular. There is a very nice atmosphere, enjoyment, and yet Andrew and his staff keep their authority with the kids. Also, they have just opened another location for a preschool. Highly recommend the place for anyone!

Do not send your children to the Sewall inside of strive prep ruby hill!! The whole site went…read moredownhill since they got a new director. My daughter been going to this site since she was 2 &1/2. She graduates this year. They have staff there who aren't properly trained and or have no experience. They have been on probation for their childcare license since November of 2018. My daughter almost died in their care. Yesterday on April 8th 2019, I arrive to get my daughter during nap time , and I see white stuff by her mouth. I assumed it was food. As I'm pulling, it's getting stuck and I sit her up immediately only to pull a wad of tissue out her mouth. (Will post a pic) when I arrived both Jillian and Dalena were on their cell phones. (This is a licensing violation) I asked why there was tissue paper in her mouth while she was sleeping. Not either of them could answer my question as to how it got into her mouth and why it was there or how they didn't catch it was in there. Maybe they didn't catch it because their faces were stuck to their phones. I showed Jillian the tissue she kept saying "I'll get rid of that, hand it to me" I refused to hand it to her. She was eager to get it and dispose of it. Furious to not getting answers I grabbed my daughter and left. When I got home I immediately called the manager Heidi, she was unavailable so I left a message regarding my concerns. She did not call me back. I spoke to some girl named Mary, she contacted me back. Told me she'd contact Jillian and get back to me, which she did. But she was no help, very unprofessional and ignorant to the whole situation. She did not care that my daughter could've choked and died. She told me in her exact words "Jillian didn't know how it got there and was on her phone doing some work related things" I asked "how can we prevent something like this happening from the future to ensure my daughters safety?" She said "we're going to continue doing what we're doing, we not doing anything wrong" I was so appalled and humiliated for her. She obviously doesn't have training. I said "excuse me?" She said "this is just where we're at right now" "if you don't feel like your daughter is safe why send her here" I was in so much shock and disbelief that she said that. I responded "you think this is just going to be swept under the rug like it's no big deal? My daughter could've choked and died in her sleep" she said "it's just where we're at right now" I responded "if I have to take my daughter out for a safety concern that could easily be fixed I'm gonna go above and beyond to make sure you're facility gets closed down" "I will NOT allow you guys to treat me like I'm wrong for wanting a plan in place when it come to my daughter safety" I have requested a meeting with Heidi in person, let's see if she gets back to me. I would NEVER want any parent to go through what I went through and be treated the way I have!! I will NOT STOP UNTIL I GET ANSWERS AND CLOSURE. They need to be held accountable for their staffs action. Oh and the sad part, the director was in the class and still couldn't provide answers. They need to retrain their staff or throw them all away and start over. No innocent child should be in a position where they are not cared for, watched properly or safe. Will keep you guys updated once I meet with Heidi and let you know if I get this situation handled properly. I refuse to pull my daughter out. She deserves to be part of graduation like anyone else!! It's not her fault the staff isn't trained properly and have their faces stuck to their phones!! Stay tune for update.

I flat out do not agree with the 1 star reviews. Our 3 year old daughter is on the Autism Spectrum,…read moreand started at Sewall in September. She absolutely loves it, and has progressed so much due to the care and attention she receives from her teachers. She loves going there every morning, and is always happy when we pick her up. We get good, consistent feedback from the staff there, and they genuinely seem happy to see our daughter each day. Also, the new location at 10th and Fillmore is so nice! The 1 star reviews for this place are not accurate at all in our experience, so please be sure to give these guys a try.

I can say beyond a doubt he has learned so much from his teachers and I never feel like Im worried about him while at work. His teachers care so much and take an interest in our family. We are going to be adding a second child to this daycare in the Fall. When we got pregnant with our second we thought about getting an au pair because it would be about the same price as ACL but we just feel like he is as smart as he is because of the interaction and the curriculum at this daycare. If you are interested in ACL you need to get on the waitlist early. It's very competitive because so many people want to send their kids here. If you work for the VA you priority so keep this in mind. Patricia in the baby room is outstanding as are Teri and Kamala in the 2 year old room. I absolutely love these ladies and they are the reason I have peace of mind every day.

From day one, the staff has shown an incredible level of professionalism, care, and commitment that gave us tremendous peace of mind as a family. The teachers don't just teach they genuinely connect with the kids. My child walks in excited every morning and comes home eager to share everything he learned. We absolutely love how they integrate technology, creativity, and social-emotional learning in such a natural way. Communication with parents is outstanding we always know what's going on and feel like true partners in our child's development. The facility is clean, safe, and thoughtfully designed, but most importantly, our child is seen, heard, and valued every single day. We couldn't be happier with our decision to join the Everbrook family!

This personally resulted in 2 medical incidents for my child at Everbrook within 48 hours of each other, the second requiring a stay at the ER. The response from the admin, Angalissa, was that it was not her fault and the other caretaker in the room was picking his nails not helping. The director, Marla stopped talking to us once she realized they could be held liable. This was in the infant room. While there are perhaps a handful of staff that try and are kind, they have such a high turnover of staff, people will not know your child, they will not provide consistency or structure, they will not thrive and for our child, he almost didn't survive. Everbrook has taken no accountability. They are under current investigation by Denver HHS and the state licensing board. Have previously been on probation. And the video system is a "guise" of safety. It conveniently purges in 48 hours, so if your child gets hurt, they will have no record of it so they can't be held liable. Run away. Do not walk.

The staff are all friendly and Ms. Idil who runs it is very knowledgeable and good with the kids. She even recognized that my son has a knack and love for math and offered to provide him some extra worksheets to keep his mind challenged during the summer months. Only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the camps are only from 9a-3p and I have to pay extra to be able to have them there from 8a-4p (and even that requires that my husband and I split drop-off and pick-up to accommodate our 8-hour work days). If I could give 4.5 stars, I would :-) (Note that I am not offering a review on their tutoring services, only the camps)

I appreciate that the camps are fun and educational, and I also appreciate that the attendees are diverse. The camps are pricier than others in the area, but they also have a small student-to-staff ratio of 6:1 that I prefer. (I find that larger ratios mean that well-intentioned adults don't always know what all the kids are saying/doing and my little ones pick up habits that I don't like). I also echo the challenge with the camp hours: 8am-4pm (with an extra daily cost for this extended care rather than 9am-3pm standard hours) is tricky for working parents. Even though the hours aren't ideal, we'll be sending our kids here again.
