SCAM! STAY AWAY! They do not abide by their website where they say the broker fee is 10-15%. If you…read morelike a place, suddenly the broker fee goes up to 30+%! AND if you ask for clarification, at least with Usher Kohn, he will raise his voice and tell you how you don't "understand" things and even call you "ignorant"! He would NOT let me talk, and when, after 5 minutes of him talking with raised voice in the phone, I interrupted and said, "so because the rent of this unit is lower than the budget we gave you, you are charging a broker fee to make up for the difference of the actual rent and the budget." He said emphatically, "YES! THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT IT IS!" I said, "so you are up-charging us?" and he said "YES because the rent is low!" Then, because I think he said too much, he scurried and said he had to get off the phone and then he hung up. About an hour later, he calls back and he seems more calm, however still rude in his undertone and how he was addressing me and "attempting" to explain his scam. When I started in on explaining the math that was not mathing, he got very flustered once again and quickly put me on pause for nearly 5 minutes. He came back seemingly calm, but when I returned to my question about the 30+% broker fee, he said to me, "I don't know what you DO for a living, but maybe your budget can't afford this. We sell apartments at much higher prices and we don't usually even bother with these at low rent below market value. You don't understand and you don't know the definition of market value!" I wrote an angry letter about them failing to reflect a payment that I had made and the main guy called me all upset. He confront me about the slight I had added about his company, but didn't want to talk about the myriad of complaints the letter had contained. Once again this month they have screwed up my payments. This time they didn't cash my last month's check until today (a month later). It really screwed up my books. Now it feels like I'll be paying double. I double checked the date on the check.
