My mom and I came to Andalusia to the book signing of Brenda Gantt. We drove from Texas on a limited budget.
I booked the room for two nights. Here is my review:
If you are a hotel snob, don't stay here.
If you need a no frills, place to shower and sleep, this place is for you.
The owners were really nice. It is an older hotel but the beds were super comfy and the pillows were nice. The area seemed safe with a Dollar General and other shops near by. Several good places to eat near too.
The room was clean. The front office was locked and you do your business through a small window. They don't have breakfast even tho it's advertised on the sign. Something about Covid, but I think that's silly, personally.
Website didn't say there was a hairdryer in the room so I brought one, but there was. I was bummed there was no coffee maker in the room but I read that and brought my own along with some towels because someone complained about the towels. They seemed fine to me. I saw no bugs either.
Anyhow, I was traveling with my 86 year old mom and she loved the bed also. We would stay here again if we were ever in the area again. read more
