NEVER BOOK WITH QUALITY INN, specially im Andalusia, Alabama. I am evacuating from my home in Miami, Florida due to Irma Hurricane. The whole Florida state and surroundings are collapsed, there are no flights or hotel reservations. My wife and me only found a reservation in a Quality Inn Hotel in Andalusia, Alabama, through Hotwire. We drove 17 hours specially to reach this place, even without sleeping. We arrived later than our check in hour because of the traffic jam and the hard situation with fuel (obviously). We called the hotel to explain the situation from the road, and they showed very understanding and said that there was no problem at all. When we arrived to the hotel the front desk lady, Hellen, was very rude and told us that our reservation was given to another customer because we arrived late and there weren't more reservations. Hotwire confirmed our reservation and said that the hotel were not able to cancel it. But Hellen, the front desk lady, and her manager both told us that they did not care about this and that it was not their problem, arging that it was a "change" on the itinerary and that they could not change it because we made the reservation with Hotwire (it is a ridiculous and neglectful excuse). The manager, Nick Patile, did not even want to face us and he only talked to us through the front desk employee's personal phone. They said that they were not responsibles for us and that this reservation was not still paid to them. They didn't even try to find a solution for us. They just left us lying on the street, with no place to go, 17 hours away from home, in the most rude and innapropiate way. It has been the worst experience ever for us. My recommendation: NEVER BOOK WITH QUALITY INN. Their worst quality is the customer attention. If they reacted like this during a "life threatening event", what would remain for a normal situation? read more
