I'm here visiting my Bestie and needed to get my little princess her monthly treatment. I can't say enough good about this place. She looks amazing and so Happy. I was able to give them a picture reference of how I wanted her and they did exactly that. Katerina (my maltipoo) had the works. Dog facial, paw trimming, shampoo n blow out, Fanny trim, teeth cleaning etc. I will definitely choose this location when ever visiting here in Missouri. The staff was very helpful friendly professional nice. And the cost was great 78 dollars I was more than happy to tip 20 bringing it to a 98 total. Being that we are back in town, I had to find a new groomer for my Ares. He has serious anxiety issues especially when it comes to new people and places. This place was close and they only do dogs so I figured might as well give them a try. I contacted them through Yelp and received a relapse very quickly. I set an appointment and took my dog. When we walked in, the place was clean with jars of cotton flowers all over. I filled out the necessary paperwork and gave them Ares for his grooming session. At home, I noticed it was taking a very long time to groom him. His appointment was at noon and I got him there at 11:30am. Around 2:15pm, I decided to call and revived no answer. I then got in my car to make my way there. Now, before you say it takes a while to groom dogs, I did a review of his old groomer in Ohio and it only took her about 45 minutes to bath and groom him. On my way there, I got a text that he was ready. When I got there, he was very happy to see me. He looked fine. His legs were a little long. I was told that he didn't want them to groom his legs and kept moving. This is something that I know he doesn't like but his old groomer was always able to get him perfect, regardless of how he acted. I paid and they handed him over. On my way home, I received a call that his flea collar was removed by accident and they still had it. I was on my way to get my son. After that, we went back to get the collar. Ares was not happy thinking he was going back. He loved going to our groomer back in Ohio even after the first visit so this was odd to me. I'm not sure what happened while he was there and I'm sure they did the best that they could given how he acts around new people. They seem like a good place and if your dog is ok around new people and in new places, give them a try. It wasn't a great experience for my pup but it could just be my pup. read more

I am not usually one to give a negative review, but definitely want to make sure people are aware of what they may be getting in to. I travel, so I never know where I am going to be when my dog needs groomed, so not able to establish with a regular groomer. I was excited to get a groomer that had some openings that weren't months away. That should have been a clue. I was given a 10 am appointment. I brought my little guy in at 10. He has been groomed multiple times before with no issues. I had a bad feeling about the whole thing right from the get go. We walked in and there were already several dogs in crates and at least a couple of dogs being groomed. I couldn't see what was happening, but could hear one of the groomers yelling at one of the dogs, saying "stop it" repeatedly, not in the typical 'kind to animals, but firm "coaxing" manner' I'm used to hearing when I walk in to a groomer, but I was trying not to judge at that point. When talking to the groomer about what I wanted, I repeated multiple times that i didn't want him shaved all over. She said the longest clipper they had was a 1 inch and again, I almost bailed because I knew it wasn't going to be what i wanted. She assured me they had found a longer comb that they could use. I reminded myself that hair grows back and decided to just let it go. I expected a 2-3 hour turn around as I am used to with other groomers and as per what is quoted on their web site. I am from out of town and after almost 5 hours I popped back in to see how things were going. I was informed at that time that they were just getting started on him. I was like, "wait, what?" If they weren't going to be able to get him in for several hours, why not offer to have me bring him back later? Or, if you are overbooked, tell me! I have to say, I was less than nice about that. My pup, who hadn't been allowed to eat or pee since 8 am had been in a crate for 5 hours just waiting for them to get around to grooming him. So, another hour and a half later, I get the text to pick him up and I am told I am being charged an extra $10 because he wouldn't sit still during grooming. That was the icing on the cake. I'm sure he was wiggly! He had to pee and had been cooped up for 5 hours! On top of that, it was by far the worst grooming job he has ever had. No bandana, nails were not trimmed well, hair was shorter than I like. Live and learn... should have paid attention to the red flags. read more

My Yorkie Honda Blue had his first "dog-scaping" appointment today, since I wanted to learn how adept they would be. Honda looks AMAZING, even with the specifics I gave Margarita (groomer). I'm OCD about symmetry and aesthetics, and I was blown away! The price for a bath, nail trim, hydration "mask", and whole body haircut was VERY much worth the result. I took Paisley here when they were first opening in January. She is a Great Pyrenees and can be hard to handle sometimes because of her size. They were very sweet and gentle to her and I could tell I was leaving her in good hands. This was her first time being groomed professionally and I was surprised to hear that she did so good. I'm about to schedule her second appointment and would highly recommend bringing your fur babies here. They have great prices and have very nice and caring staff. read more

I highly recommend Exclusively Dogs KC! This is the first time I've trusted any spa- that I've felt confident in the care, grooming and handling of my dog. This spa was exceptionally clean (and smelled clean), and bright and the staff was inviting, friendly and knowledgeable. They paid close attention to any skin issues while they bathed and groomed my dog and alerted me that there were a few little bumps on his back. This spa is careful in using safe and natural products - their blueberry facial and shampoo made my dog feel clean and made his coat look so shiny and healthy! Even though I live in Kansas City, I will travel the distance, for the peace of mind, that my dog will be in good hands for his future grooming needs and extra spa treatments! If your dog barks do not go to this place. They apparently don't like that... I'm not sure they understand that they're attempting to run a dog grooming shop. They probably should've considered that dogs bark before they opened the business. On top of that it was the worst customer service I've ever experienced. And the grooming was mediocre at best.
