However he stated if I could possibly give him a few minutes to reach the shop he will take me immediately since I am only getting an undercut done. I would've been fine with just accepting that they're appointment based for the day off the simple fact that when I called someone answered!! He was patient with my request and not dismissive because I didn't have an appointment. The vibe is definitely simple and straight to the point which I like. No sheep in wolves clothing. I waited no longer than the time he asked me to wait and got my cut by a professional who made sure to clean his hands and equipment before event seeing me, with great customer service and to be honest the same amount of talent as the barbers at "the groomsmen of Long Island". So if you ask me, I would rather spend my hard earned money here than anywhere I have to worry about a barber lacking customer service and also becoming threatening to a female. Barber was Alejandro, I genuinely appreciated your overall cut and the service presented was genuine and patient. Will be coming back with referrals.

Long story short, I got a little ambitious while trimming my beard and ended up taking the clippers a little too high, taking off way more than I intended to... Looking like a fool, I pulled up yelp and looked for barber shops in my area that were open. Rockville Barber Shop came up and being that it's literally down the block, I thought why not give it a try? MAN did I make the right call! I was immediately greeted when I walked in and Ronnie took me right away. I showed him the damage and he sat me down, talked me off the cliff, and assured me he would take care of everything. During the course of my haircut he not only made great conversation, but made sure I was comfortable and walked me through exactly what he was doing, step by step. I've never had a barber who did that and it was such a relief, especially given the situation I was in. A short time later he was done, and I was incredibly pleased with the results! Now this might sound like hyperbole but as someone I see with great frequency it matters a lot to me. I found AMG on Yelp and based on reviews tried it. Well after my cut and experience it was well deserving of 5 stars. You book an appointment online and you are all set. You are sent multiple reminders which is helpful. There is a massive open public lot behind the stores so take advantage. Walking in this place has a beautiful aesthetic, it was classic barbershop meets the modern elegance. It is really an experience from the moment you walk in until you depart. I sat in a beautiful waiting area and soaked in the atmosphere. My barber Yosef greeted my and it was like meeting an old friend for the very first time. As I sat down in the chair, Yosef asked me what I wanted and consulting with me, we figured out a new look for my hair. He continually said "I want to do exactly what you want so you are happy" this attitude was amazing and it showed in the care he took to his craft. I have been to many barbershops/salon in 37 years but this was different. My barber had a vision and he truly put in the work to visualize it. My cut was a processes and honestly it felt like not one single hair that was supposed to be cut was left. He did not miss and his attention and care to detail showed. The entire experience with a hot towel shave (you have to try it) was worth it and more. It is not your typical barbershop prices but given it was more than "just a barbershop," wonderful friendly staff, knowledgeable barbers, and I walked out with a new look. I ended up having John as the first barber to ever cut my sons hair. The wait wasn't long. He conveyed a sensible sense of patience being that it was my sons first haircut. Not only did he have much patience but he was also very understanding of the emotions not only that my son had but as well as mine knowing it was my child's first hair cut. Every time I want to bring my son in I just set up an appointment with no issues upon arrival. If there is a little wait, they always accommodate to my sons needs by either entertaining him or putting a children's show on the TV, which I applaud you for taking the customers wait into consideration. All the workers here are very welcoming, especially one of the owners Danny. He always greets me with a smile and greets my child as well. I have seen the work of May of the other barbers and can genuinely confirm they all have pure talent. The energy in the shop definitely gives a family vibe. They're very inclusive and welcoming to all. Allows me to not only get a fresh cut, but also have a good experience in my day. I can't say that I've had a bad experience. When in Long Island and this is the only spot I would recommend. I'm originally from Brooklyn and not easy to please. The barbers here go above and beyond.
