Other than that, I consistently paid premium prices and trusted this salon (specifically Eleanor). Last month, I brought my daughter in for a keratin treatment. Both Eleanor & the owner clearly explained that it was not 100% guaranteed to get her hair to be straight and that it's a process that requires maintenance. I understood the risk & agreed to proceed. Eleanor spent about 2 hours on my daughter's hair and the cost was $200 + tip which I willingly paid. After one wash, her hair returned completely to its original frizzy state. I took photos & called to speak with Eleanor--not to ask for a refund, but simply to understand what happened and discuss a possible solution. Instead, I was met with unpleasantness, unprofessional attitude & defensiveness. Eleanor said, "I spent 2 hours on my feet doing your daughter's hair & we told you it's not guaranteed." I calmly repeated that I wasn't asking for my money back--just an explanation or guidance. I never called back again to discuss the keratin treatment because I felt she was so defensive and they will not offer me any other solution. A week later, when I called to book my usual root color appointment, I was told--after checking Eleanor's availability--that I was no longer welcome at the salon. After 7 years of loyalty and spending a significant amount of money, this is how I was treated for simply asking a question. The lack of professionalism, accountability, and respect for long-term clients is extremely disappointing. I do not recommend this hair salon to anyone. Their customer service and sense of loyalty to long-term clients are far below what you would expect from a professional business.

This is a multi- faceted salon: hair, nails, eyebrows, lashes and I'm hoping they start doing facials. While I don't go there to get my hair styled or cut, I do see the ladies who walk out with a prideful swag, swinging their hair back and forth. Since I come regularly, Linda and staff know exactly why I'm there. No fuss. No muss. The price for a regular mani- pedi, for me, is $31-$35, maybe a little higher on the weekends. Of course, I tip. When I brought it to her attention she said that's how she does some of her "custom wigs". Not for nothing that's not how you do a custom wig. To sum it all the way up she is charging $600 for a $200 wig. She is buying store brought wigs and altering them, saying there customize! I'm not saying don't go there but this is what you should expect. If the wig was $200 I would've definitely respected it more.

She used to be located in Baldwin and recently relocated to her very own salon in Lynbrook. She has two assistants but her main assistant Draya is so talented and such a sweetheart. Between Draya and Queenie they make the perfect team. Draya preps and braids the clients and Queenie does the installation and styling. I love Queenie because she does quality work very quickly and although she's expensive it's money well spent. I always look at it as an investment because that's exactly what it is. Queenie is always busy and always booked. Your best bet is to book an appointment online. You can choose from a variety of different styles and hair types if you choose to buy hair from her. She does beautiful weaves with leave outs, full head weaves, lace closures, full lace frontals, and custom wigs. She also can custom color any hair.
