This store used to be a church and you can still see where the altar was and the beautiful stain glass window is still up. I love that this gives the shop a very unique layout and look to it!! Not to mention the stained glass is beautiful! They have a lot of candles, cooking supplies, dishes, skincare, and even a toy area. It truly is a little bit of everything! I love coming here for Chicago themed products as well as Irish heritage items! This place is clearly very proud of the city! This place also has a lip balm that I always get called Bitchstix. It is a bit overpriced because all proceeds go to supporting victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. So thankful that this store proudly supports this great cause!! The name is a nod to place--Haven for the sanctuary, and 1890 for the incorporation of Beverly Hills (Beverly's formal name). Their space is gorgeous, with the centerpiece being the glass window on the south wall. They have some lovely things here, and a great variety. I came in near St. Patrick's Day and since it's on the Southside you'd think a Leprechaun threw up in here! Lots of fun seasonal items, but also everyday art, Chicago-themed gear, stationery items, baby toys/clothes/things, household items, and a lot more. Service was friendly. I believe there's parking in the lot, but I also easily found parking on 103rd.

When we met with her to see the rough draft, we assumed that was the time to make some modifications in font choices and design. Wow were we wrong. Instead she snapped at us and scolded us during the rest of the appointment over any changes we wanted made. The final products were so-so. For all of the stress working with her brought, it was definitely not worth it. I wish we would have either spent a little more money to go somewhere else with someone not so rude to her clients, or just made them ourselves and printed them at FedEx. Update: Per Kasey's comment below, a full refund was offered. Unfortunately that was not the case, otherwise we gladly would have taken it.

I even tried reaching out several times by calling her and she also did not respond, nor call back after several voice messages. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAMMER! I will be contacting police in my jurisdiction in order to start the process for my refund.
