My prescription glasses were not working for me. I was surprised when Dr Borders showed me pictures of my retina which shows a serious issue. He asked if my previous Dr said anything about this or about my cataracts. No he didn't. He said everything was OK. Dr Borders said I am on verge of losing sight in one eye, plus I definitely need my cataracts removed. I am glad that he was truthful and direct with me. He immediately got me an appointment with a retina specialist as well as a cataract doctor. I now feel like I am on right track to save and improve my vision, thanks to Dr Borders.

I signed in and waited to be called. When I was called I quickly realized I signed in on the wrong sheet. I went over to the front desk, gave my name, insurance information and copy of prescription. I was called about 15 minutes later. I had already picked out four frames. Amber Hall asked me... what do you like or dislike about these frame? Then she said, Hey, let's go looking around and try some frames on. During that time she asked, what's your favorite color? I said, Green! We found several green frames in different styles. She spent time to help me feel comfortable! She went over frame-by-frame, she discussed all options with me, she was friendly and kind, allowing me to trust her, but ultimately she allowed me to make my own decision! Minutes before closing, I reached Kris in the Madison office who went above and beyond to reach Dr. Haider about my concerns. To my surprise, he instructed her to give me his cell number so he could talk to me for which I am grateful. He cleared up the issues and my surgery went well. Do not be afraid to ask questions because Dr. Haider listens intently and patiently to every concern and/or question before he answers, and I love how caring and thorough he is with his exams. He did procedure with laser to remove scar tissue that had formed. In just a matter of minutes he had it all taken care of and my eyes are as clear as they've ever been. Last year I got talked into going to this office for my annual exam and new glasses. My mother has…read morebeen going to this location for decades through several changes of providers who have purchased the business. Honestly I have waited to post this review until I could finally convince my mother to stop going to this practice and we could pry her extensive records out of their hands. It did take a great deal of difficulty to get my mother's very much needed medical records from this office. I went in for my exam and the place was operating at it's usual disorganized system. I was amazed that they got anything done. Finally I see the optometrist and after a very cursory exam she writes a prescription. I go out to fill it and expect it to be easy as I have brought the frames I wanted to use, well they rejected one set of frames so I had to get something there. Ordered my glasses and they gave me a date that my glasses should arrive. The readers that they made me select one of their frames for actually arrived early. The promised date arrived and I called and they said oh your progressives should be here any day now. I called back a few days later and was told any day now. Once the glasses were a month late I stopped into the office. They start frantically looking through things, oh and by the way, my insurance had already paid their portion of the cost and I had already paid the remainder of the cost. So the office was fully paid and I had no new glasses. To make a long story short despite my repeated numerous calls the staff had never actually checked on the status of the order. The glasses had never actually been ordered from the production lab. Once the optometrist heard this she tried to excuse her office's error by blaming it on Covid, which is shameful. Covid had nothing to do with her office's lack of action. It was pure laziness. Even though the practice told me that they would reverse the insurance charges I kept checking and they never did. Also once I got the progressive lens they were not helpful to me as the prescription was not right to correct my vision. I was so happy when I could go to a good optometrist and get a new pair of progressives that actually correct my vision on every sight point on the lens. As an aside, at this practice when my mother who has no vision insurance bought new glasses, she paid significantly more money here than she paid this year when she purchased new glasses, so watch your wallet if you do decide to actually go to this practice. Stay far away from this practice!

The staff is always professional and friendly atop that. My visits have always been with Dr. Kruzer. You can tell that she is excited and passionate about her work. She explains everything in a clear and understandable manner and she always invites questions about anything that you might not understand.
