Honestly I have waited to post this review until I could finally convince my mother to stop going to this practice and we could pry her extensive records out of their hands. It did take a great deal of difficulty to get my mother's very much needed medical records from this office. I went in for my exam and the place was operating at it's usual disorganized system. I was amazed that they got anything done. Finally I see the optometrist and after a very cursory exam she writes a prescription. I go out to fill it and expect it to be easy as I have brought the frames I wanted to use, well they rejected one set of frames so I had to get something there. Ordered my glasses and they gave me a date that my glasses should arrive. The readers that they made me select one of their frames for actually arrived early. The promised date arrived and I called and they said oh your progressives should be here any day now. I called back a few days later and was told any day now. Once the glasses were a month late I stopped into the office. They start frantically looking through things, oh and by the way, my insurance had already paid their portion of the cost and I had already paid the remainder of the cost. So the office was fully paid and I had no new glasses. To make a long story short despite my repeated numerous calls the staff had never actually checked on the status of the order. The glasses had never actually been ordered from the production lab. Once the optometrist heard this she tried to excuse her office's error by blaming it on Covid, which is shameful. Covid had nothing to do with her office's lack of action. It was pure laziness. Even though the practice told me that they would reverse the insurance charges I kept checking and they never did. Also once I got the progressive lens they were not helpful to me as the prescription was not right to correct my vision. I was so happy when I could go to a good optometrist and get a new pair of progressives that actually correct my vision on every sight point on the lens. As an aside, at this practice when my mother who has no vision insurance bought new glasses, she paid significantly more money here than she paid this year when she purchased new glasses, so watch your wallet if you do decide to actually go to this practice. Stay far away from this practice!

Haven't been able to confirm whether they're locally owned or not. I've been in a few times before reviewing, once just to check it out (as it appears lots of folks are doing - foot traffic has been fairly heavy for a small town, smallish footprint shop), twice to pick up items on my way home from my office, and once to take advantage of their BOGO interior Valspar paint deal (available until 3/21!) For a smallish, though typical Ace-sized store, they cover the basics well. I've found what I needed for minor electrical repairs, heavy duty cleaning products, a couple of replacement fasteners, odd-shaped light bulbs, and a couple of yard cleanup tools. They are definitely in "opening" mode, with staff still training, but what they may lack in know-how, they make up for in friendliness and trying to provide a level of customer service you don't get elsewhere. I've watched them take their time to talk to customers about their specific needs and make product recommendations, as well as reminding folks buying, say, paint, to take a look at specific areas for project accessories. I appreciate their help not forgetting the little things that make home improvement projects turn out better, quicker, or less messy. Store is well-organized, new, and all of my items have had shelf prices that matched their scanned price, including no problems with special offers or Ace coupons. On the downside, not affecting my rating, but just a general warning: while the location is convenient for those who live in Etown city limits, there's no avoiding the terrible drivers that seem to plague this particular strip mall. The number of times I've watched drivers nearly plow into for-sale items on the walkway or stored (like mulch) in fenced areas of the parking lot is only matched by the number of times I've watched drivers nearly plow into actual human beings or other cars. Most of the lot "signage" (lines, and directional markings included) is only on asphalt and very faded, but that's no excuse for drivers who are completely oblivious to others, right of way, or how the properties of basic physics function on planet Earth.
