I went in for x-rays and to see when I can get a cleaning scheduled and thank God someone canceled last minute so I was able to get on schedule same day. The entire front office was very inviting. I had great conversations with the techs & what made my experience was the dental hygienist, Monica (I think that was her name). She had a great personality, great attitude and really makes me want to get my teeth cleaned constantly! You don't really meet people like her in the business anymore - and I do not like dentist because of that reason but thanks to her, I will be back!

There were no complications and recovery was fairly quick for me (I also applied DMSO for faster healing.) I was shown what possible complications could potentially occur during surgery and what those options would be (just in case) before commitments were made. Everything went well and the contingencies were not needed. I did not have covering insurance, but the costs were not any more than my in-network insurance dentists had quoted. The latter may also be a reflection upon unscrupulous in-network dentists (name withheld) refusing to grant treatments without agreeing to unnecessary procedures, it is worth noting that I didn't have any unneeded options being pressed with this dentist, and I appreciate that honesty and professionalism. For the dentist and staff, thank you. There were no problems requiring follow-up!

I was told that the office did not take my insurance but they would file the claim on my behalf. I understood that I would be required to pay for the services upfront which I did. The amount changed from what I had been quoted but did not argue with this. After 6 weeks I had not received reimbursement from my insurance so I called and was told that the payment was made to the dentist. I then called Beachside Oral Surgery and was told that it takes a while for them to reconcile their payments. It is now December 22nd and I have not received any payment. My appointment was during the first week of September. I have called and left messages but no one from this office has returned my calls. They received payment by me and insurance which is crazy. My only recourse now is to file suit against the dentist. I do not recommend this practice.

The first Implant specialist that I consulted saw my scans and said he couldn't do the surgery. He said "there's only one guy who can do this, this is a job for Kumar". I later learned that my first doctor had studied under Dr. Kumar, and he is in fact incredibly talented. Six months ago he told me this practice was his passion. Now, after months of complicated treatment, I have a full set of Zirconium teeth and permanent implants. Doctor Kumar is very dedicated and professional. His staff is pleasant and efficient. I won't deceive you, it is a difficult process, and requires huge amounts of patience, and trust, but it is worth it. I have none of the problems or inconvenience that come with dentures, and my ability to eat well, and speak well has been restored.
