My chiropractor, Gina, is a tiny woman with a passion for her work. She's a bit of a nerd which is awesome, and has a plethora of cool science knowledge and is eager to talk about it. We got along immediately. The work itself was successful. Of course chiropractic work will not fix you in the first session, but I can honestly say that I started feeling better right away. The only reason I'm giving this 4/5 stars instead of the top score, is that there were random hints at what might be perceived as slightly religious material. They were very few and far between, but it was somewhat unnerving when it peeked through.

At different times, old injuries pop up to haunt me. I have had back pain, neck pain, rib stabbing me, shoulders out of joint, hips out of joint, knee issues and foot pain. Not all at once! This time, it was mainly numbness and tingling in my fingers and wrist, plus knee and foot issues. Research told me that the practitioner I needed had to know a procedure called ART. (Advanced Release Technique.) I didn't even know a chiropractor would do this. But through searching for someone who does ART, I found Dr. Brian. He's REALLY good at this technique, plus gives excellent adjustments. Some chiropractors have struggled to adjust me, saying I have tight muscles but loose ligaments (or vice versa) but Dr. Brian has no problem adjusting me. And he has now done some ART on every part of my body. I am enjoying much less pain and, just as important, much more function. I can do the physical activities that are fun for me again. I had terrible pain in my mid back. I could hardly move and certainly couldn't drive or do my usual 2-5 miles of walking each day. I sought out Dr. Brian for a Selective Functional Movement Assessment, a very helpful place to start. The treatment plan Dr. Brian created accelerated my healing by combining his many areas of expertise. His sincere intention to restore my well-being was also key. It has been several months now and I'm back on track. I can do everything I did before plus I'm doing it with better form due to everything I have learned from Dr. Brian. A second situation with which Dr. Brian helped me presented itself as a pain in my shoulder but the assessment indicated the root cause was a nerve in my neck. Unfortunately, my second visit resulted in a serious and medically documented injury. During that appointment, my lower back was adjusted in a way that immediately led to severe complications. Shortly afterward, I was unable to have bowel movements, and my condition rapidly worsened to the point that I had to go to the ER. I was admitted to the hospital and diagnosed with a perforated colon, requiring a week-long hospitalization. After being discharged, I contacted Dr. Knutson directly. He acknowledged the situation and told me he had informed Dr. Alex Twenge, DC, and that corrective care would be provided. Despite those assurances, no meaningful or appropriate follow-up care occurred. I have text message documentation confirming these communications. This experience raised serious concerns for me about the standard of care and the lack of accountability afterward. The physical, emotional, and personal impact has been significant, including time lost with my family that I cannot get back. Based on my experience, I would strongly encourage others to carefully consider their options and proceed with extreme caution before seeking treatment here.
