I brought my son and daughter to Excel Urgent Care and received the best care and customer service. The employees checking us in were quick and answered questions that I had before going to the back. The kids play area was a nice distraction while I filled out the necessary paperwork. I appreciate the fact the area was tidy and allowed my kids to enjoy the wait. Once we were called to the back the Triage tech was extremely patient with my little ones as she got their vitals. We then went to a room and waited no more than a couple of minutes before the NP Diane and her student came in. They were very thorough and answered the many questions I had. She stated the medical assistant stated you said she was to Hispanic. Like really! I never said that we never even spoke. Very bad experience. They are very unprofessional. I took my 86 years old mom at the cypress Excel Urgent care. I requested several times before my visit to see a doctor, not a nurse practitioner, and they confirmed it would be a doctor. When I checked my prescription later, I realized it was a nurse practitioner who saw my mom. The medicine that she prescribed cost me $1000 for 30 capsules. My pharmacist said that the cost of tablets is going to be cheaper than the capsules. I requested them to change the medicine from capsule to the tablet form. They said that the NP will give us a call. Its been 3 days and I have still not received any call from them. My mom is in pain and still waiting for the medicine. Everytime I called them to follow up they said that the NP is busy or she is not there at the clinic. worst experience !!!! read more

Took my 6yr old in 30min before closing, due to my job. All I needed was an xray to check for pneumonia. Quickly filled out the papers while the receptionist had my insurance and payment cards. She calls me up about 35min later to tell me she couldn't see any of my insurance info on her end... Although it's on the card and it's our second visit in two days at an urgent care. She suggested I pay $250 or go back the following day. Absolutely not. This was actually the first time I have ever had anyone suggest this at an urgent care. My son's symptoms worsened overnight. I took him to his pediatrician the following day and we found the pneumonia I had suspected. We will not be returning to this facility. I came in with what I knew 99% was a concussion as I am a coach and take a training on identifying concussions every year. I was injured at work and therefore was on worker's comp and as soon as I told this to Dr. V, he was incredibly rude. He rolled his eyes at me, shook his head, and walked out the door leaving me in the room with no explanation for about 20 minutes. He then wanted to rush me out as soon as possible with a note that said return to work with no restrictions. No restrictions on a diagnosed brain injury is absolutely ridiculous. He didn't mention anything about screen time or exposure to bright lights, he just wanted me out of the office. I would not recommend this place to anyone!! Do not go here if you need a Covid Test! My husband is very sick and went Monday to get a Covid test. The Doctor told him on Monday that it would take 2-5 days. We just called for results since today is the 6th day. Today we were over the phone that it would take 2 weeks. My husband would most likely be recovered in two weeks if he had the virus. Somebody from Excel should have called him to inform him of the two week wait, but they did not. Our insurance is being billed for an office visit and a Covid test that will not do us any good. I saw a sign on this urgent care saying they were now providing telemed appointments. I've had an upper respiratory infection for a week, and now know I need some antibiotics. I called to get a telemed appointment, as advertised. I was told they cannot do telemed appointments for new patients. You have to be an established patient. So I asked again if they were a primary care doctor office, or an urgent care. She said they are an urgent care. Why would I have a reoccurring trip to an urgent care? Seems like a racket to me! A group of doctors charging urgent care prices to people who do not know or understand there is a difference in ER, Urgent care, and primary care billing! Cassandra, MA is extremely rude and unprofessional. Talking to me like I was 5 years old and when confronted she states "who do you think you are? I was in a lot of pain and that just made me feel even worse. I'm an RN with more than 15 years in the medical field treating very sick and rude patients and I have never talk to a patient like that. I reported her behavior to Laura, NP. I hope she receives counseling and training about how to talk to patients. Will probably be the last time I will use this place. After lots of pain & swelling and x-rays from an orthopedic surgeon's office, we were told that my mom's elbow was definitely broken, and she'll probably need surgery! It stated that once they received our forms and the chart was created, the scheduler would call us and scheduled the appointment. That was 10:11am. Impecable interior that you will pay for if they can't verfify if your insurance will pay out. Mind you, I called the insurance company before I went to this location to find out what I would be expected to pay up front my day of the visit to this facility. I told the insurance company represenatative at this time that I was going to an Urgent Care Center following effects of a car accident. No one mentioned that my visit would be investigated until I get to the facility and sit down to fill out most of my paperwork. Maybe the insurance company knew all the time that they were going to "Investigate my claim" whatever. Money comes, money goes and not being able to walk is an emergency in my book, so I took the $220 hit out my wallet and was seen. Of course, I asked what the $220 covered because $220 office visit was not in my budget, but since it included everything that needed to be done and it was too late to get to my PCP, I stayed--this time. The nurse that took care of me and went over my vitals was nice, but I couldn't understand a word she was saying half the time. It was almost like she forgot to put her dentures in or something and she couldn't enunciate words clearly. It was a little painful. Was glad to be placed in a room after that. The doctor that I had whose name is pronounced Dr. Wilkins was very sincere and listened to my situation pretty thoroughly. After her initial physical examination, she seemed like she wanted to dismiss having x-rays done, but I think she probably saw my eyes narrow and my mouth about to express some colorful language and she stated that we would have the x-rays done for safe measure. I know you will! X-ray tech was very nice and had a sense of humor which I admre when any of my articles of clothing are off of me and I'm laying butt naked or topless on cold surfaces. She made the experience go smoothly, finishing in a very efficient amount of time. Dr. Wilkins reviewed the x-rays which confirmed her initial diagnosis and my after care was reviewed in detail with me along with a cd of my x-rays for my records. Pretty good bedside manner, but I didn't like that I received a call later on from their office stating that radiologist found something else on the x-rays. I thought the radiologist had already looked at y=my x-rays when my doctor consulted with me on my aftercare. I would have rather waited for the radiologist to do this than receive a phone call like I did. Wasn't able to hop on the free wifi and the beverage bar is not complimentary--they just charge and arm and a leg for you to pay for it! Don't know if I would go to an urgent care facility again unless it was a life or death situation, Otherwise, I rather wait and see my primary care and be billed for the visit versus paying out of pocket for my claim to be investigated by the insurance company. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT! I realize that COVID has strained all aspects of life, but incompetent testing performance is only adding to the panic, frustration, and uncertainty. First, their website clearly states no appointment need. This is false. Then, they refuse to answer the phone, I had to drive up there to talk to anyone only to find 3 ladies chatting rather than answering phones. Then on their pre-recorded phone message, it specifically directs you to call Bioreference laboratories for results. After three days of calling Bioreference, I finally discovered that it's actually Quest laboratories I should be calling. When I drove up to Excel to share this information, some lady in a back room came out and said, "yeah, our phone message is wrong... we should probably change that." YOU THINK??? Then, after 11 days (which the Dr who saw us told us we'd get our results in 2-5 days... which I knew was inaccurate but went with it) I finally get notification that they messed up my sample and it couldn't be tested. Additionally, the messed up my wife's paperwork and her results couldn't be reported either. A global pandemic is hard but when a testing facility is incompetent it makes it much worse. I strongly urge anyone who needs a COVID test to go elsewhere. The good news is that COVID probably won't get me... instead the heart attack I have because I'm so angry with Excel will! read more

I do confess the wait time can be a bit long here. Other than that, this location has the nicest lady at the front desk, very kind and informative and tries to meet everyone's needs. The nurses are also great, as great as one would be for being underpaid for doing what a doctor is suppose to do. Now for the doctor, only one. If you find Dr. Christopher Ogunro coming into your room, ask for a different doctor, especially if you are a female. He will speak to you like you are incompetent and he will make you feel small. As a medical professional he gave us false information, rather than stepping aside to research our concerns. He consistently dismissed us when we tried telling him that the reason we were there was not the first case. We felt like an inconvenience to him. When I went back with reputable research papers he continued to be rude. If it weren't for this doctor I would rate this place a lot better. read more

I am not impressed with the medical knowledge of the practitioners here. I took my toddler there today for a bad rash. The doctor thought he maybe knew what it was, but wasn't sure. He didn't do any tests. I wasn't convinced that he had any idea what was wrong with my child. We were sent on our way- no true diagnosis, no meds, no instructions of any kind. A few hours later I was in the ER with my toddler who had strep and scarlet fever. That will be our last visit to Excel. read more

Ladies and Gentleman.. when I say DO NOT? I mean DO NOT go to this urgent care. EVER. Thee absolute worst urgent care I have ever been to!! For starters, you guys seeing these reviews from MULTIPLE people saying how much they had to pay to be seen, because they were not able to "verify their insurance" is THE TRUTH. Now, I when I came in they asked for my insurance card. NO mention of the system being down. I fill out the paperwork and give it back, only to be called up 10 minutes later and told that they cant verify my insurance because the system is down, so I will have to pay $145 to be seen. I came in to this urgent care due to being 5 weeks pregnant and bleeding. As I am already a complete mess because I am scared and want answers, I go ahead and fork over the $145 when i KNOW my copay is no more than $40. I pay just to be called to the back and told that they can take my blood to check my HCG levels but would have to send it off, would not get the results today and also they don't have any ultrasound equipment. What they can do is have me give a urine sample to see if there is blood in my urine...well im bleeding so yea..of course there's blood in my urine. I give them a urine sample and I can here the nurse practitioner or whoever the hell this lady was in the hallway say exactly that.."of course there is blood in the urine".. She comes in to my room and asks me "How did I figure I was pregnant?" .... ummmmmm idk only the multiple pregnancy tests i took at home PLUS the one i took at my OBGYN earlier in the week. She goes on to tell me "well we ran two and they are negative..soooo i don't think it was a viable pregnancy".. Im sitting there with tears in my eyes because for one Im devastated that I know im experiencing a lost and im PISSED that she just came in here and asked me how i figure im pregnant like i made it up..like im some kind of idiot also because i just paid 145 to do some shit i could have did myself at home. I leave this place only to get about 5 miles away and receive a call asking me how far away I am and if i can come back as the nurse wanted to talk to me. Yall...why did I go back to this place to be brought back to a room and apologized to because they READ THE PREGNANCY TESTS INCORRECTLY.... TRAINED PROFESSIONALS?!?! READ A FRIGGIN PREGNANCY TEST WRONG!! Then they go to offer to do the hcg blood work and submit a referral for a ultrasound the next morning. ILL PASS.. needless to say i went to the ER. All the staff there are very friendly and willing to help you with any question. The check out lady was very kind to help us understand our bill and to review our doctor note. My pains where not where my gallbladder was, But if you push in that area when I've been having pains else where. Yes, it's going to be sensitive! The receptionist had a terrible attitude. There wasn't any type of greeting or anything when walking in. Age yet walking in, I go to the front desk and no one says anything to me. Finally after a few minutes they tell me to "hold on".... Unprofessional. When my daughter came out tell me the fee, because we were both not allowed in the lobby, the receptionist turned off the lights and told her they were closed when she walked back in.
