I put $20,000.00 down and paid weekly payments of $449.96. I have been paying on it for 3 yrs in total I paid approximately $94,000.00 on it. I was in content contact with them trying to get caught up. They sent a default letter and I told them I am going to be sending more money. On 12/29/2025 we were on our way to our 3rd repo that day and all of a sudden we are surrounded by Burlington police. They got out and one of the cops went to the driver side where my husband was sitting and put a gun to his head. I asked them why we were being pulled over and he said the truck had been reported stolen. I showed them my registration and insurance and I assured them that I did not report it stolen. They told me it was East Coast truck & trailer who reported it stolen. I told him that is against the law it is a lease purchase, it's a civil matter not a legal matter. He said he had no choice, the charge is unlawful use of a motor vehicle. That we committed this crime on 12/23/2025. And that we fled from justice. We were in NC doing a repo of a Cadillac SUV that day. I have not been to VA since I picked that truck up. And my husband has never been there. We were taken into custody and booked where we has to sit for 30 days to sign extradition papers. I was picked up 15 days later. My husband is still in jail. He has had 2 heart attacks since he has been locked up. We lost everything because of this bogus charge. I mean everything. Do not do any business with them. From the other reviews I have read they are not a reputable company. The detective that came and picked me up told me that when he did patrol that we was called to do a report for the once a week sometimes two times a week for people missing payments on their tow trucks that was financed through them. He said they need to stopped. Even the police officer who arrested me said it was wrong what they were doing and he was sorry that he had to take us in.

The service department comes up short, big time. I used to work on cars as well as race a few. I…read morehad an issue with my 2019 dodge ram limited edition with a 5.7 Hemi engine. It had tick on cold starts and after two or three minutes as it warns up it would go away. I knew what it was. It was a bolt broken on the passenger side manifold that was broken. I told them exactly what it was. They said they had to diagnose the problem at a Cost of $230.00. I said i am telling you the problem. The person waiting on me said this what we do. I said okay. They came back saying I had a lifter problem. I told them that was incorrect. So, they went back and diagnose it a second time. This time they said it was a cracked manifold. I said okay. They order the parts. I told them I wanted all the old parts. The bill came to almost $1,800.00. I got home and looked at the manifold: I could not fine a crack! I took it to a car mechanic shop and ask them to fine the crack. He pressured test it, then he water pressure testing it. He said there is no cracks in this manifold. Then he check it for warpness, it was not warp. The labor for this repair was $1,200.00. They put a new manifold, a new heat shield on at addition coat of $581.00. I had no issue with the labor because we all know the cost at the dealership is outrageous. All I need was a new bolt, a new gasket and the of course the labor. My original manifold and heat shield was fine. Costs should have been around maybe $1,300.00 at most. Even their own mechanic said he saw no crack. I have been dealing with Banister Chrysler dodge jeep ram for a long time. But never no more. Be careful if you use this service department especially, if you have no knowledge about car care, these people will take advantage of you while smiling in your face.
