This was my first experience there, and it won't be my last (full disclosure, I was a Dodd RV customer previously). From getting questions and recommendations from Billy, to Murray coming and explaining what needed to be done, to him then explaining what was done, it was a pleasant experience. They didn't know me from Adam, so they didn't know what my level of knowledge was and I can tell you, they never once tried to mislead me or pull a fast one. The facility is older but they keep it nice. Small and clean customer lounge and restroom. Should be a model for all non-dealer repair shops!

I do not know how this place has such high reviews. The communication is terrible. You call and…read moreleave several messages but nobody calls you back. The time to completion on the work is bad, and the quality of work is sub-par. In my case, the work was incomplete. They re-used damaged parts on an insurance claim job. Additionally, incorrect replacement parts were used. When I was told they would reach out to the insurance company to get an adjustment for correct parts, it was apparent they did not because the incorrect parts were used. This was frustrating because I was told they would contact the insurance company to get the correct parts authorized before starting the work. Then, I kept calling them and my insurance company to get the issue resolved. The insurance company called them and told them to submit an adjustment. After I called the shop weekly for two months, leaving messages for the mechanic, I decided it wasn't worth the frustration. During this time, I was contacted once and told they were busy and they'd get around to it. To top it off, the wrap job they did bubbles when the temperature drops... When I gave them many opportunities to fix the poor and incorrect work, I was blown off each time. After several months, I decided to cut my losses because it wasn't worth the frustration. This is the worst vehicle repair experience I ever had. Do not take your vehicle here. You'll get poor communication, incomplete work, and more frustration than you should have to deal with. A positive note - The lady that works the desk and answers the phone is very nice. So is the manager/owner - if you ever get a chance to talk to him.

Then, after I got the issue fixed, I headed back to the shop to get my inspection sticker and they'd closed early for xmas eve! There was NO signage on the door. On the Friday following xmas, I headed out early before work to try and get the problem resolved again, and the shop was still closed with NO SIGNAGE stating they'd be closed- they also had no prompt on their answering service stating they'd be closed. They wasted my time with the poor communication, and I felt angry when the tech smiled while handing me my rejection sticker. Wouldn't recommend this chaotic, unprofessional place.

Replaced the flywheel & clutch but did not replace a bearing that was a part of the repair. 3k miles later, the truck began giving trouble again. Difficulty shifting. I took it to a mechanic where I live (FL), and got the shifter fixed. $800 job. that was fixed but the shifting issues came back almost immediately, and this time accompanied by a chirping sound. I took the truck back & my mechanic asked more questions about the work I'd gotten done. I hadn't owned a car in the last 10 years so I didn't know anything. He encouraged me to call them and find out what kind of work was done so they could see if it was related to that and if there was a warranty on it. I called and got a rude person who made sure to tell me that they aren't the same ownership "so WEEE didn't do any work on the truck," she said. I asked if she could get me the information, she put me on hold for 10 minutes, then we got... disconnected. I called right back and got somebody much nicer, who told me what work they did, but was unable to email me any of the information and I guess also unable to find somebody who could do so for her. My mechanic had to call them to get them to send along the information we needed. Turns out all the issues were from the shoddy first job. Great. Better still, it would be covered by the warranty. Turns out labor there was like $300 cheaper than the place I go to now, so I'm not saying you get what you pay for. More that Precise offers a good value when they do the job well (new management, so maybe they do) I understand new ownership means that's not their fault. I am giving 2 stars instead of 1 because they didn't do the shoddy work. They just wouldn't help me at all when I needed them to.
