We used this company for a patio cover. Sebastian was our sales guy and after we signed papers he disappeared to Armenia for extended length of time. They installed the patio cover wrong and it has leaked during every rain storm we have had in LA. They have been out three time to fix it and it still leaks in the same spots every time it rains. I just reached out again with video and photos of the leaks and new damage, we'll see if they can correct the problem this time. I fixed the damage inside my back door my self and now I have all the same damage again. So frustrating! read more

I would not trust these guys with any work in your home. After scheduling a consultation, the guy cancelled due to traffic. Then on the reschedule, the office called to tell me he was in a car accident, so they rescheduled him. Then on the third reschedule, just two days later he calls me 20 minutes before to tell me he was in a car accident and needed to reschedule. He sent me a photo of a car being towed with a message reading "waiting on a tow truck." How are you waiting on a tow truck when you just got Into an accident and there is a tow in The photo? Then on the fourth reschedule he called me an hour before to say he was on his way, then an hour and a half after his show up time I called to cancel the appointment. He then laughed at me saying he was almost there. These guys are shady. I wouldn't trust them with any property that you work hard for. read more

All 3 times they called me 30 mins before time of appointment to cancel appointment. Worst experience working with these guys. Eyal and his team were extremely unorganized, didn't communicate timelines properly or project expectations, missed every deadline, and had to redo a portion of the work. There were several mishaps throughout the project, and we feel that we were lied to in terms of their expertise. We had a clear vision from the beginning of the project which we outlined with diagrams, and photos and they assured us they would be able to get the job done. We relied on them as experts to get several custom elements done in our home, such as building a custom built-in sofa for our den, built-in shelving unit for our bathroom, and creating a flush concealed door for our office, and it became apparent they had no idea what they were doing. They had to completely redo our bench, the dimensions were off, my feet dangled when I sat down (see photo), and the finishing was so horrible that we had to call and pay ourselves a professional plaster guy to redo their work. The door didn't shut properly, the paint was uneven and the walls were cracking. The guy working told us this was the first time he's had to build a door & sofa like this. They had framers do the custom elements. They originally "finished" the bench with dirt & garbage left in the storage under the bench (see photo). The job was so sloppy. Their mistakes cost us thousands of dollars in materials, plaster and custom paint that had to be repurchased. Meanwhile Eyal argued about every dollar. They moved our gas lines for the furnace and didn't hook up the gas properly before they enclosed the walls, and had to come back to tear the wall apart again (see photo) to connect the gas lines after we told them our heat wasn't working on a cold winter night with two small kids in the house, one of them a newborn. They threw our custom crown moulding in our bedroom in the dump during the demo, and had to get it custom made again, and it's not an exact match, the sizing is a little off & it's in disparate pieces stitched together. They installed wood panels in our ceiling with a huge line in the middle (see photo). They installed additional electrical lights but didn't match the type of recessed lighting so some of them looked old while the others were brand new. They also didn't separate the electrical lines or add new lines during the remodel but added to our existing lines which caused a short circuit and our lights to flicker for weeks. The finishing overall is not great throughout the house. They didn't apply silicone gel sealer to the grout for the tile in our bathtub and shower (photo attached). They created a concrete step outside our den but didn't fix the planter stone they cracked until after I called them to come back to fix it (photo attached). I had to call them back several times to come back to fix places they missed. Eyal never did full walkthroughs with us, and rarely checked on his crew to supervise the job. He had several other projects on the go including his own flips, and didn't prioritize our home. The only thing they were on time about was asking for their next instalment of payment. I withheld their final payment until they re-did the bench and the door, and after all of this Eyal submitted a Claim of Mechanics Lien on our house. This was a huge slap in the face considering we had already paid him 6 figures for this project and only owed them a final cheque for $5K. They followed up consistently when they wanted to get paid, but when we asked them for the receipt for the tankless hot water unit they purchased and installed so we can get a credit back with SoCalGas my husband had to follow up with them consistently for 3 months to get the receipt. The project was supposed to be done by end of Aug 2022, they just finally came back to finish the bench and door in March 2023. To top it off, their administrative staff (Sarit) is rude & disorganized. I pretty much had to project manage my own construction project, I had to do my own research on all custom materials (Eyal was zero help), and had to ask them for a schedule every Sunday night so our family knew what the week looks like. Both my husband and I were working from home in the middle of construction. We did this from June until mid October of 2022. It was extremely stressful. On top of that I was pregnant with our second child, and had a toddler running around. We interviewed 5 other contractors for our project and ultimately chose them because we really liked Ben, the sales guy. We regret our decision and wish we had gone with someone else. Save yourself the headache. To make things even worse, Eyal copied all of my design ideas for our home improvement projects and applied them to his flips and other projects he was working on and even asked me to send him our custom carpenter contact, and links to where I purchased our finishing materials. He then would boast and show me photos of how great his flip looks with my design concepts, which he gained for free. read more

After calling the office repeatedly I get a call from Eyal (who I've never spoken to before) saying we have to use 2 systems (!) and we're going to put one by the front door. I said - no, no one else is quoting me this. Meet me there Monday before any install is approved 8am. He told me, "whatever worked for my schedule." Come today, no confirmation, no call, I lobbed multiple calls and he was over an hour and fifteen minutes late. Worst part of it? They bought and brought a COMPLETELY different system than I discussed with Ron. I went with them because I trusted them. "No problem, we can do ceiling mounts, we'll have it in before you move in." They brought wall mount minisplit - which if anyone spoke to anyone at that company they would know that's the number one thing I did NOT want. Now my home will have no heating or air and they're not answering on a refund...feels like BBB and small claims court here we come. read more

Experience was a nightmare. Communication was terrible. I was repeatedly blamed for their assumptions about the project. Prior to walling in my shower they did not confirm that the fixtures I had were correct. Instead they told me that it would cost additional time and money to fix their error. I ultimately paid them in full to end the nightmare (even though my bathroom fixtures were still not installed). I felt that they were just looking for more ways to get money out of me. I had a bad experience with this company. We had our popcorn ceiling with cracks removed but the new ceiling that Excel construction has done keeps cracking. Excel is blaming it on the type of material of my the ceiling. If that's the case, then why they did not replace it? They are supposed to be the experts on these type of jobs. Chose them even they are $5000 over the other bidders because I was promised that any unexpected cost will be covered. Pini from Excel has seen the cracks when he was bidding for the job and told us that they will take care of the cracks...but Eyal, the owner, did not honor that. I will not use this company again. Update 6/6/20 In addition, the electrical work that they did to install my recessed lights were very poor. There are exposed wires when I went up the attic yesterday and our exhaust pipe from the kitchen was disconnected in the attic. They did not put them back after detaching them. Update My master bathroom remodel has a major flaw It seems that when my flood was raised Audel decided to double the wax ring rather that put the appropriate fitting on the toilet before installing it This resulted in a very slow leak which was found approximately three weeks ago This is approximately 18 months after the completed project Not only did it finally appear in my downstairs entryway but I had to have my newly installed floors torn up and the proper fittings placed for the toilet, my entryway ceiling replaced which cost a small fortune DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY read more

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE WORST HACKS AND LIARS EVER!!!!!! we hired Excel to help us rebuild after our home burned down. At first everything seemed to be great. They acted as if they understood what we wanted and we were excited. they with in the first few weeks months and not one thing had been done to rebuild we questioned them about the delays. They gave the excuse about permits and weather. then after 6 months of nothing they started and we thought finally no more problems. But then it seemed that workers were at the house maybe once every couple of weeks. the owner of the company gave a lot of excuses and blamed everyone for all the delays. Then we noticed our storage was broken into and things we missing. Now you have to understand that I live in the middle of a farming community and I have 8 ft fences with locks. When we asked excel about the incident they said they didn't know and it wasn't anyone from thier business but promised to pay for or replace all stollen items. the workers were drinking on the property and leaving the trash and bottles all over the yard. They were dumping trash from other jobs on our property and not even showing up for work for weeks at a time. lts skip ahead ... now it's been 2 years and the roof went up, most walls were in and some plumbing done and that all. although we were paying them the allotted amounts in accordance to the contract they insisted we order and pay for thinkgs for the house such as all the tiles for walls and floors, bathroom vanities and shower hardwares. When I finally asked what the money we are giving them is going towards if we are still paying for things out of our own pocket. skip ahead again to the 3 year mark, and now enough is enough and we fired them. we payed them a lot of money for nothing and they lied to us about everything. Every single space of our home was not done correctly. The didn't even do what they say was done correctly. we have basically had to redo most plumbing, all the hoax system, and part of the electrical. they did things differently then the blueprints showed. this was the worst company ever. read more

They stopped answering my phone calls and I go to college so I can't take time off to sue them. Please take my story and go to another company. Excel came out as part of the LADWP optimization program. The contractor who came out told me I was missing a one way valve on my condenser which caused refrigerant to leak everywhere when he tried to access it, and he also said there were ducts for my HVAC system that were not connected. He said he would provide pictures but never did. There was no follow up. I had 2 other HVAC companies come out for evaluation, and neither of the things Excel told me were correct. I just needed adjustments to my dampers. I am unsure if Excel sent out someone either extremely inexperienced, or if the contractor was being dishonest in order to try to get me to use their company for fake repairs. Regardless, I will not be using this company for any projects in my home. read more

I just got a new house and was very excited to start my new project. I knew I had to remodel my kitchen and give it my special touch. I was kind of afraid to choose a contractor since all of them just promise things that never happen. I finally came up across excel construction la...they where so experienced! Our experience with Excel Construction LA was a nonstop nightmare. Their workers were unreliable and uniformly incompetent. The owner, Eyal Aharon, was arrogant, patronizing and abusive. Literally every stage of work had to be redone more than once before it was even marginally acceptable. Not only was their work shoddy and excruciatingly slow, the path of destruction left in their wake was simply indescribable. There was no charming feature of our property that was not burned, trampled, uprooted, poisoned or otherwise obliterated, despite many promises to the contrary. When they actually did appear to work, which happened with no notice or regularity, their workmen almost always caused some sort of damage to already finished work or areas that had previously needed no repair, so for every step forward, we took another step back. In addition, it seems their central business model involves running a scam on the state-run HERO Financing Program, so on top of being incompetent, they are also dishonest. Don't get involved with them. You will be signing yourself up for a deal with the devil that will fill you with regret for years to come. read more
