I stayed there with my grandson to play unlimited golf with free cart for a week and we had a blast! The proshop staff at Woodland Hills Golf Course were also very accommodating and helpful. This course has no sand bunkers but it is very hilly, challenging, and the golf cart path on 4 helps cheat more distance. ;) The only odd thing is that they pull the pins around 4:30pm to prevent theft from a frat house on the course. I wish I could have found that house and made it the 19th hole! We hope to go again... maybe for a month of 36 holes a day!

It has an inclosed screened area in the back with a large table and rocking chairs. Upstairs is a loft with a small bathroom and balcony access. There's a washer and dryer behind the kitchen area and a shower/bathroom. Outdoors there's a fire pit and a porch/bench area, a swing, and two small lakes. A rustic arch for weddings is available. We loved this place, it's so nice and quiet. Wi-fi is available and a phone land line. The owners are friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend Beaver Creek Lodge.

Breakfast was wonderful, for lunch we went into Huntington and dinners into Lufkin. Took a tour of the old logging trails around Zavalla and saw Lake Sam Rayburn. Quiet and secluded we can't wait to come back next year. Our host Lonnie & Carolyn were personable and friendly we wanted them to set down with us for breakfast but they had way to much to do tending to our party of 8. Bob and Gene, the owners, were wonderful to work with and left most of the details in Lonnie and Carolyn's capable hands. Family retreat, business meeting or Wedding the next time we have a need of a fantastic place we will be back!

Oldest spaces just scattered in a field in a low area with chronic standing water. Newer spaces up the hill are a little better appearing as though they were planned. There has been little attention given to drainage and grading so water stands everywhere when it rains. The grounds need real pads in the front (gravel or concrete). Also, for some reason the back pads are not angled so there are many muddy ruts because they are difficult to enter and exit without going off narrow gravel pads. This could easily be corrected with more gravel. Utility pedestals are new and well positioned in back but kind of random up front. Perhaps the most unappealing aspect besides standing water and mud is dog poop. No attempts appear to be made to control it. No bags, no signs, dog poop everywhere. Easily fixed but yuck. I will avoid this place in the future unless I am desperate. It does have a new but very small laundry room. Lots of potential which means lots of room for improvement. I intend this to be constructive.

This place deserves multiple positive reviews but here's the first…read more We were searching for a place near Caddo Mounds before moving on to Mammoth National Monument and found Southern Pines RV Campground on-line. This is a very nicely thought out new RV Park. The couple that owns it provides personal and friendly service. We would stay again when in this area. I called and left no message but was called a few minutes later which is nice and she requested I text the info (e.g. dates, size of RV) and to expect a callback in about half an hour for payment info and this happened as promised. They sent several e-mails two of which I could electronically sign or sign on arrival. This provides them some legal protection which is probably the way new parks will be administered. I was also asked if we had a pressure regulator and was offered a loaner if we needed it. When I mentioned they are near Caddo Mounds she reminded me it was about 30-40 minutes away which is another example of her being straight and helpful. She asked when we'd arrive or if we'd text so she could meet us but it would be fine to just drive to our assigned site. It is very easy to locate your site here. This place is well designed. There are thirty pads of which two are pull-through. The way the pull-thru sites are setup I think it would have been easier to use a back-in site (who am I to judge having pulled into the pull-thru twice however the guy in the other one said he had an issue too) since there is a lot of space in front of them. A small number of back-in provide the possibility of your rear coach tires going over a sloped end so if you get one of these back up slowly with an observer out back. Even the practical amenities are designed nicely here. The fence, Wi-Fi towers, space lawn lights and concrete road and concrete site pads are all nicely done. Every sight has a nice picnic table. There are communal fire pits one of which has a concrete picnic pad and they are working on the laundry room which looks like it will have two dryers and two washers. Kids ride bikes around the loop which is all inside the fence and has a 5MPH speed limit. They also have a couple of unique swings. Walking beyond the gate is following a state highway so the walkability for most is inside the fence. They have a dog park and people use it. There's a service station selling gas and diesel you can see from the park entrance. The park is on the same state highway but the background noise is minimal. They offer some discounts.

My wife was…read moreable to find a Lumberjack parent package which included a bottle of wine, Lumberjack hat, Lumberjack shirt, and adult sip cup (which you can use to get soda, tea for free in the bar downstairs!). This was certainly off peak season and not during parents weekend, but the price was $181 before taxes on a double queen bed room. It's just a block or so off the square so you can walk to plenty of activities and shopping. Just a mile or two from SFA so easy access there too. It's no wonder this place fills up so quickly during parents weekend or homecoming and such. Older HVAC system but newer dual thermostat which adjusts for hot or cold depending on the temperature you set. Seemed to work fine, though it got a little cold in the winter evening we were there before it adjusted. Place was built in the 50s but really nice remodeling done in all the areas. Room was spacious. Bathroom a bit on the smaller side, and the shower is one of those where you have to reach under the shower head so you get a little cold shot before pulling your hand back! Also, no shower door which I am not a fan of, but seemed to be fine after I put a towel mat down. Plenty of towels, pillows and bed covers so the place presents itself as upscale. Sundays they have all day happy hours in the bar (9 flags). But warning, if it's slow they will close everything down early and head home.... Another concern might be during peak times because there was only one elevators, which is modernized, but still a Lone Ranger! Seems each floor has a drink machine right by the elevator for convenience. More than a dozen food places within one mile of the place. Parking out front and on the side of the building was pretty easy and convenient. They do have a car port at the lobby entrance to check in before you park if you prefer. My wife took advantage of the 25% coupon in the gift shop as part of the parent package and bought several fredonia and sfa swag it a great discount. Thumbs up on this place from me, wife, and teenager. Just a note, as we had our electric car this trip. Not charging station at this hotel. As for the rest of the town, there is a Tesla supercharging station, but everything else around town is either level 1 or 2 and basically located at a place of business or hotel. One win for Elon on this category!
