I haven't owned a ford product in a long time and I have never been to a ford dealership for servicing my vehicle so this was my first time with a ford service department. My car suddenly had a massive mis fire in the engine and drove like crap which affected how it drove and shifted. I called Bob the service adviser and Bob got me in the next morning to look at my car and to my amazement in less than than hour he called me with a diagnosis and repair price. 3.5 hours later my vehicle was repaired and running like normal. Bob was great at communicating through the whole process and Bob did an excellent job being the face of Venus ford as a first time service department customer. Bob was probably the best dealership service department experience I have had. Yah I can get oil changes and tires way closer but with engine problems I want to go to the professionals who know how to fix my car. Overall Bob was very professional and customer oriented which is so refreshing for a new car service department experience, Bob hit this one out of the park on my first visit. read more

My insurance paid them to fix it right away,, yet after three attempts my car is still messed up but there general manager insist I let them fix it again. Service department sucks. Took my car in for tires and obviously front alignment. Had to bring it back 3 times and still not good. Oh wait it gets better was accused of going over pot holes that's why it's not aligned anymore. Do not appreciate that they did that. Also it's been 25 days since I got brand new tires. I really don't think my tire pressure light should come on. I'm not someone who was born yesterday and have bought tires before,been around cars most of my 60yrs of life i think they should fix the problem before accusing me of driving crazy. UPDATE BELOW PLEASE SEE Went to the body shop after a collision... Delays and lies, there problem solutions to everything is and i quote " I sent the email ". No phone calls or anything to the insurance company after multiple issues on there part. They overcharged me $300.00, they also did not put in the supplement for the bent strut or the wheel bearing on the passenger side. They just let me pay for them on my own. We asked for all mopar parts to be used, they used mostly aftermarket parts and when asked multiple times they lied to us on the service side. There service manager Andy talked in circles all the time let us leave with spongy brakes, he asked us to come back but at this point why would we. I have been down to there shop no less than 8x and the vehicle is still not right. Multiple emails to Eric Ewald with proof of what's happening with no calls or emails. Make your own decisions but beware we are sure our case is not unique, That's right our case...that's how bad it has gotten. UPDATE*** Just got off the phone with the service manager who told me ( to the best of my recollection considering how upset and disappointed i am at the moment ) that until this review comes down he is going to let things be they way they are and if my insurance company calls me he will call. How about that for customer service. I cannot muster the words to this kind of treatment. We feel devastated as we are not a rich family and i out of work due to health reasons. NO INTEGRITY- NO ETHICS: I recently sold a vehicle to Mario Zarate at Ewalds Venus Ford. We negotiated a price for the 2018 Ford Transit over the phone for $18,500. Unfortunately we did not realize that he had changed the price on the paperwork to $17,500, which was the initial offer from him. When we received a check for only $17,500, we emailed Mario. No response, and after more than 2 weeks, we called him and he began raising his voice, insisting that he called us back (which he did not). We then called the dealership and were connected to Tom, the new car sales manager, who dismissed our concerns. I then asked to speak to the general manager, and he said that he would be calling me. I have not received a call for weeks. So disturbing that they don't even have the respect to discuss taking $1,000 out of our pockets. Buyer- Seller BEWARE!!! read more

I found out (after driving the truck for 4 days) they never bothered to change the registration on my plates! My plates were still registered to my old truck I traded in! Had I been stopped last Sunday, I'm sure I would have ended up handcuffed and sitting in a holding cell until Monday morning to prove I hadn't stolen my truck off their lot, and switched plates. Went in to get a part in the parts department and the service rep "Chris" did not have a mask on - neither did the salesmen walking up and down the hall without masks - and the mechanics were wearing their masks under their noses - one of the mechanics went u to the computer and pulled his mask all the way down. Should be 0 stars! I only come back because it is close to home. Today was the last time. I leased and later purchased my car at this dealership. Those processes weren't so bad. It's the service department that is horrible in every sense of the word! I've taken my car here for service out of convienience, and have had issue after issue after issue with the service department. Each time I give them another shot, thinking there is no way they can continue to do so bad. Each time I'm disappointed again! I'll give you my last three experiences... I dropped my car off for an oil change and tire rotation. Quoted an hour. 5 hours later, I call looking for my car, "Just finished up, you can come pick it up." Immediately after leaving, I notice some significant body damage to my car. I drive right back and the appointment guy calls the service tech who admits to damaging my car. They end up keeping my car 3 more days to fix the damage they caused. I call the service manager, who minimizes the whole incident and makes excuses for his staff. "You're making a bigger deal out of this than it really is." I was out my car for 3 1/2 days for an oil change, they didn't even offer a replacement vehicle or anything. Next time...I have a screw in my tire. I call ahead, make an appointment, and am told no more than an hour. Even made sure they had a replacement tire when I called in case we had to go that route. All set, tire is in stock, "no more than an hour." On appointment day, 1 hour and 15 minutes into the appointment the service tech comes out to tell me they cannot plug the tire and will have to replace it. Great, let's go! An hour later, finally done and ready to go. "Sorry, we didn't know you were in a hurry!" Today's appointment... I make an appointment for an oil change, tire rotation, and some pending recall work. Quoted 4 hours for the work. Show up on time and ask for a shuttle ride home. "The shuttle guy is right down the street, no problem, it'll just be a minute." One hour and 15 minutes later I finally get a ride home. Noon comes and goes, no call! 4pm arrives, still no call! 5:15 PM I call and ask about my car that was supposed to be done around noon. "We are just finishing up on it, should be done just before 6pm." I ask what happened to the 4 hours, he says, "oh, we didn't know you needed it back and today was a busy day for us." I can go on, but you can probably get the point! POOR, Poor, poor service! Even poor management over the service. I've more than learned my lesson. Wont go back anymore! read more

I give one star because I cannot give less.... I have waited 2 hours for an oil change and it's not done yet because they don't have the right oil filter!!!!!!!!!!! What the heck???? I had the appointment at 11:15, at 11:45 they told me they didn't have the filter and that they would go to get it somewhere 3 miles away and it would take about an hour in total. At 1:10 the filter was not here and when I asked some info they told me that o should be done by 2 as the filter was on its way. Made an appointment a month ahead to have a new vehicle of mine checked over and diagnosed for a few minor issues I had. Service advisor told me I had to reschedule and drop the vehicle off another day, which is what I had an appt and was there to do that day!... he laughed at the issues I had literally saying "the techs need to make money". Okay and ? I'm here for a service that I'm paying for to have my car looked over. No matter how big or small What does it matter how expensive the job or what it is I'm doing? My salesperson Sean was great and very helpful. However not even 12 hours after I left the dealership the check engine light came on. When I took it to autozone they informed me it was the catalytic converter. So I called they dealership and they told me the only thing they could do for me was give me a 20% discount and they I should speak to the used car general manager, John Milton. I left a voicemail and didn't hear back so I decided to go there to talk in person. The conversation did not go well. He was extremely disrespectful and rude. At one point when I brought up talking to a lawyer he physically threatened me and said "If you want to stand up we can stand up." I decided to not engage further with him instead I emailed the manager Eric Ewald. Mr. Ewald emailed me back with no apologies or anything of that matter. When I asked for him to address how I was treated the day before he simply said "I'm sorry the conversation didn't go well with John." I will NEVER buy from them again and I will also never suggest anyone goes there. For the manager to not say anything about the fact that his MALE used car manager threatened a FEMALE is just as disrespectful. If you sell a car and something happens as than 24 hours after the purchase it seems like it would just be common curtesy to fix the problem. BACK YOUR PRODUCT. Disappointed. read more

My husband who is just getting the hang of internet shopping found a truck that was basically what he was looking for. He asked me to go along to test drive. That's really all we wanted to do. I did not look at our finances or anything, because it was just a test drive. We took it for a drive. My husband noticed the windshield wiper was hanging off. We also noticed it was from Canada. We had bought another Ford from Canada (from another dealership). I was trying to voice my concerns when the sales person spoke right over me as I was noticing his certificate for active listening on his wall. He basically said that everything is switched over before they even get it, there would be no problem. He asked if we were going to buy it and I explained I wasn't sure we had the cash. He replied you wouldn't have driven all this way if you didn't already have your mind made up. So we put down a cash payment, say my husband would be back the next day. I was told I would have come along if I wanted to be on the title. We get there, no one is aware of our appointment. Randy looks at the truck and the windshield wiper wasn't hanging, but it wasn't switched from the Canadian settings. We sit down and do all the paperwork. We tell him that we want the title to say OR and not AND. We get all done and he says we are all set. We ask for the keys and he tells us he doesn't have them that the sales person has them. Nope. So they take some time to find the keys. We get in and still not switched. My husband asked them to switch it over. I put out the Ford manual in FRENCH! I ask the salesperson to get us one in English and he states that is what comes with it. Um, no! We are driving home and my husband realizes that they didn't switch the blade but just pulled the piece off so it was useless. After a few phone calls we did get a new blade (at the Hartford office) and a new manual, but it shouldn't have been that difficult. We received our title today. Guess what it says my husband AND me! I purchased an Ecosport from the dealership. I'm happy with the car but upset and disappointed in the dealings with the person closing and doing the paperwork. According to my recollection I was told not to put money down because I would be receiving money's as a rebate. After further thinking I realized that money was meant to pay off the balance of my lease. The problem I'm having is the representative now disputes his statement made at closing. I'm now out over an additional $500 plus. Word of warning, make sure ANY statements made by the closing representative is in writing! Don't rely on there oral comments/claims. read more

Took it in and waited 1hr 30 min for the oil change which is not bad for a dealership, under a hour would be better. Once it was done, on my drive home lost a hud cap, they didn't put it in tight enough. I was very mad, those are OEM hud cap cost about 40$ a piece So the whole oil change cost me over 80+ $ I'm not happy and not going back here for oil change. read more

Recently bought my 2nd F150 from Ewald, during this sale my sales guy, and his boss agreed to switch my Roush wheels around, along with my roll up tonneau cover. Well first, picked up my truck and the tonneau cover was installed wrong, I figured I would fix it. Looking at the truck I noticed no weights on the rims. Spoke to a guy in service about it. He talked to me like I was an idiot and said "we would never put wheels on not balanced" I agreed there must be some new weightless technology I was not aware of and drove of. Got the truck to 45 mph and low and behold.....it shook so bad I had to stop. Turned around, back to the dealer, back to service to get a million excuses. Waited another 4 hours, truck is done, it's late, it's better and I leave. Next morning wake up, look at the wheels and they are absolutely destroyed. Huge deep gouging, center caps are shattered, just total disregard of a quality job. Talk to the dealer, they tell me they will make it right. I've been lied to for months now. No new center caps, no new wheels. Nothing. I've bought 2 of these trucks and will never buy another from these lying people. read more

Had a surprisingly inept experience with Ewald. In a nutshell, I set up an appt to drive a Ford Edge with Nelson Vega on April 27. He told me to ask for Mike Carey when I got there at 745pm. When I got there, Nelson, nor Mike Carey was there and no one knew of my appointment. Someone found the car and then washed it and prepped it but by then I was way behind schedule. I emailed Nelson the next day to let him know what happened but have not heard back a month later. The GM emailed me a few days later asking about my experience (surely an auto-send email). I replied with all of these details. No reply. I emailed him (Eric Ewald) AGAIN a week later. Zero response. So that's that. I will never return there and will share my experience with any friends or family looking for one of these cool new Fords. read more

I made an appointment to look at a used F150 with Baha Awadallah. Baha is great - very friendly and very helpful. He was a delight to work with and it was probably my most pleasurable experience dealing with a car salesman - like EVER! I did run into a few snags worth noting. The web advertised mileage of the truck was 7k less than the actual. I didn't realize it until I got home & was updating my insurance. Also, the truck was filthy when I test drove it. Turns out it was on the lot for months and someone at the dealership had been driving it - hence the dirt & the added mileage. It was detailed poorly when delivered, but it was late afternoon on an overcast day so I (and to be fair likely the detailer) couldn't see the dirt. I got the truck home to find the engine compartment, oil, & air filter were black dirty, and the cab center console storage bin had a broken latch. Also, the chrome was flaking off the edge of the mag rims. I brought all of these issues to Baha's attention the next day and to his and the dealership's credit - they have taken care of or addressed all of it. Per their suggestion I brought the truck back in for an oil change, filters, and tire rotation and the sales manager took care of the cost. In addition, the service department finished the detailing - including a wipe down and dressing of the engine compartment. The truck looks great now! They are also fixing the broken bin latch under warranty and covering the $100 deductible - the new part is on order. Baha also told me that they will fix the rims for me at their dealership cost (3rd party) of $75 each. Used car sales and service is TOUGH business - it's customer service from end to end in an era when customer service is almost a lost art. Ewald handled my situation as well as I could have expected. I am a happy customer with a new-to-me truck that I absolutely love. read more

Worst of the worst. Good reason for numerous 1 star ratings, it's a horrible business. I had an engine coil issue, ewald provided a diagnostic review. $130 later they told me what I already knew and had changed my oil; the fix would cost $1400. After flushing some coin down the tube, an honest local mechanic fixed the issue with no fee to diagnose, and corrected the same issue for a combined $600. Been running great for 3 months so far. What was the $130? Answer- knowledge an honest mechanic will provide on the spot. The only explanation for the $1400 -- $600 discrepancy is a business that cannot lure consistent honest business, and relies on ripping off brand customers. Dealerships are typically known for higher prices, but superior knowledge, I have only experienced inflated prices and inferior service here. read more

A while back I brought my car here for body repairs. It was in a convenient location, and was certified by my insurance. Over the two months that they were "working" on my car no one at the shop had contacted me. The only updates I ever received on the repairs came when I called first. I called three times during this period and every time they said that they were working on it and that it should be done by a certain time. All three times it was not done by the date they gave me. I called a fourth time on the day I was told the repairs would finally be finished, and they weren't. I decided to call my insurance agent and tell him about their neglect to contact me the entirety of the time they'd had my car, and how they had told me 3 different dates for when the car would be finished, and how they had yet to be straight with me about anything. It wasn't until I did this that someone must've talked to them and they decided to call and say that they had ordered a wrong part and that's why it was taking so long. They then told me a new date for when the car would be finished. I still don't understand why ordering a wrong part would cause repairs to take two months. If I remember correctly, this time they told me it would be finished by the end of that week. Friday rolled around and I called to see if I could pick it up, and yet again they said it would not be ready until early the next week. When it finally came time to pick the finished car up, the people at the shop waived my deductible, and from what I understand put new hubcaps on one side of my car as a form of apology. I had accepted this and figured I wouldn't write a review of the shop online because they had at least recognized that they had treated me poorly and tried to make good. However, it is now 3 or 4 months later and a friend of mine getting into the passenger seat of my car noticed that the front passenger side door had been rubbing into and damaging the passenger side fender. This could really only be explained by either the door panel, or the fender having been put on incorrectly when that side was being repaired, or maybe even them just using the wrong part they had ordered. Who knows? I called Ewald collision center and told them about this and they told me to bring it in for them to look at it. They guarantee their body work so I figured they would get this worked out. Instead, the guy told me I was wrong. He then went and got one of his employees and asked what he thought. They figured that one of my friends had "opened the door really hard." I showed them the stock driver side door and fender to explain that it would be physically impossible for them to rub in the way the passenger side had been no matter how you opened it. They paid this no mind, and continued insisting that it was something I had done that caused the passenger door to rub against the fender. The entire time they put blame on me for what was happening. Their ideas ranged from me having too many people open and close the door, to wind blowing the door too far, or from me waiting too long to bring it in to the shop. Not once did they say or think that there was any chance it was caused by incorrect assembly on their staff's part. They then took photos of the damage to show to their re-inspector so he can tell them what he thinks. They took no photos of the undamaged driver side of the car for reference of how the door is supposed to look, or how it opens and closes. I feel that I am being manipulated yet again by the people at Ewald's, and I have already called my insurance agent to inform him of the situation. I also just remembered that shortly after I got the car back, a piece of plastic from in between the front passenger window, and rear passenger window was unattached and had never been attached correctly. I had to take the car back to the shop so they could look, order a new part, and attach that instead. While this wasn't as big of a deal, I feel it says something about the quality of their repairs. I spent two months being jostled about and lied to by people who were being paid to repair my car, and months later the repairs appear to have been faulty and they refuse to acknowledge this. I have never had a worse customer service experience in my life, and I would never think of this place as an option, no matter the scenario. read more

I take my car to Venus Ewald for all services and repairs and I've always had wonderful service and have always been greeted by friendly workers, whether I was working with the body shop, service center or paying my bill. They always offer a shuttle, send coupons, offer free car wash with service and have always been fair in price and service. I had one subpar experience and they corrected it by offering me a free service next time I came in. What really blew me away was how I was treated recently. I was involved in my 4th hit and run this year and after getting an estimate, and having the insurance company get in contact with them, they called to ask when I was gonna drop the car off and offered to cover a rental car for me for a few days if need because they saw that my new insurance policy didn't cover one and since I was a repeat customer they wanted to make this process was as easy for me as possible. This was totally unexpected and really showed that they value their customers. Other businesses should take note. They've turned a loyal customer into a lifelong one. I called to have a rattling in my under carriage of my truck repaired and a brake caliper was hanging up. I told him that I am self-employed and use my truck for my landscape Management business. A day off of work for truck repairs is money going out and none coming in so I need it back in a day. Told me I'd have to wait until the following week in order to give me the quick turnaround I needed. As the rattling got worse throughout the week and weekend my prayers were answered and I made it tell today. Turned it in this morning at 8 a.m. called at the quarter of 4 p.m. and no one had even looked at it yet. Service advisor asked me if I could leave it overnight for tomorrow...No. I looked up another repair center on Yelp and call them for an appointment tomorrow and then went up to get my truck back from them. It was in the back parking lot parked crooked between two cars and needed a can opener to get it out of there. Beside the fact that I mentioned I had $11,000 in body work and paint done to restore it and asked it to be parked indoors. If you care about your vehicle more than the average bear I wouldn't go here. read more
