My stylist did a great job on the top of my long hair, and I didn't notice till I got home (lots of glare in the salon) that the bottom front areas had no highlights. I'd spent nearly $200 and got less than expected, so I called to see if the stylist could just put two more highlights in. Was told that bc I couldn't come in right away, since I was going out of town for 10 days, there would be a charge for a "redo." Corporate policy. I explained that I was traveling and couldn't come in for almost two weeks, and didn't need a redo anyway, just two highlights, one on each side. It didn't matter. This was not Hanes Mill Rd as given in the pulldown, but another in Winston-Salem, and I assume all salons would be as rigid.

I asked her to cut my girls' hair in cute chin-length bobs. She cut both of their hair way shorter. She cut it basically up to their ears. They seriously had bowl cuts. It has taken four months for their hair to grow to the chin-length style i originally requested. As for my hair, i was trying to let it grow out. I asked her to try and even out any layers I had and to not add anymore. She definitely cut it shorter than I requested and added layers! I let it grow for three months before I went to another salon. The stylist was shocked at how bad of a cut I had received. Original review-- Karla is wonderful. My daughters and I came in to get haircuts, and we left very pleased with our new hairstyles. My girls are 3 & 4, and they have never had their hair cut so well before. Karla took her time to ensure their hair cuts came out perfect. From past experiences, other hair salons have cut my girls' hair quickly and not very well. I was very pleased that Karla took her time, and it shows. Their hairstyles are too cute!

Location:It is a part of the Ashley square business park and has plenty of parking. Easy access in and out of parking lot Atmosphere: classy yet casual. I love the environment that has been created in the salon. It is very clean and the decor is beautiful. Melanie and the rest of the staff are always very friendly and professional Service: I can only speak of and HIGHLY recommend Melanie but there are a few others that operate out of this salon and without personally experiencing them I have noticed them all do a wonderful job with their clients. When I first came here I had no idea what direction I wanted to go in and instead of forcing her opinion she gave me educated options. Melanie focuses on YOUR hair and what is best look and science wise. She has alot of experience with color and is one of the few keratin certified professionals in Winston. She also has great suggestions on cuts that will frame your face nicely. We ended up doing some really beautiful balayage and ever since then she keeps raising the bar on her results with me. One of the best parts is...I am always in and out in under two hours (unheard of!!!) Yet, does an outstanding job that looks like it took alot longer than that. She is always so very nice, on time, and professional. I love being a client here

This review is long overdue. I cannot recommend Chrissy enough. I first went in for a haircut with…read moreChrissy in August 2025. I had long thick hair, all the way down to the small of my back, and I wanted to cut it all off. I had been thinking about cutting it for over a year. I had reference photos of exactly what I wanted. I was hoping to get something similar or at least approximating. Chrissy spent 30 minutes examining the reference photos and video from all angles, examining the shape of my head thoroughly, and for the first time in my life, I had a stylist tell me exactly how they'd recreate what I want on my head, instead of suggesting something sort of like it. She explained to me small adjustments she'd have to make to get the same effect so it would look the way I wanted. After the cut, I got home and wanted to cry, because for the first time I left a salon looking EXACTLY how I pictured it in my head, and not sort of like what I wanted or some compromise. She is an artist. I've been in for numerous touch-ups and through my short hair journey, she has listened to me and the new ways I experiment with styling my hair, and the style continues to evolve. Earlier this week I went in for a touch up, and she wanted to really get it right so we sat down and looked at pictures online of what I wanted, and again, she accomplished it beautifully on my head. I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Chrissy. She's also super sweet and just a pleasure to spend time with. Pictures show my before (with glasses) and after shots.

Upon entering the salon you're greeted with a relaxing but trendy atmosphere. The salon is home to two stylists but it's still very spacious for a small salon. I had my first appointment with Chrissy this morning and I am so happy with the way my hair looks! I'm a stylist as well and in the past I have gone to other stylists and not always been fully satisfied with the results. Needless to say I felt completely at ease as soon as I sat in Chrissy's chair. She understood exactly what I wanted to work towards and knew the things that needed to be corrected. I also fully applaud her ability to juggle several clients at once. She transitioned from client to client so well and made sure we were all taken care of. My service ended up being a color correction due to some work from a previous stylist that had to be fixed. She blended my color melt seamlessly and gave me a great starting point to go even lighter next time. Pricing is on point and worth every bit of it! I can confidently say that I'll most definitely be returning and Chrissy made sure to book my next appointment before I left.
