DJ Daniel was awesome! He has a great attitude and is very professional. He's very hard working as well and we're so happy he DJ'd for our day wedding at the Bahia Hotel. He provided music and MJ'd for both the ceremony and reception. We wish we had planned ahead and booked him for another hour because his mix is amazing! DJ Daniel absolutely did well under the circumstances we had at the Bahia. I hired a wedding coordinator that didn't have the same great attitude as DJ Daniel and trust me it shows and really stood out. I definitely recommend DJ Daniel to all of my friends! read more

DJ Daniel did a fabulous job for my Birthday Party!! Before the party he was very easy to get ahold of and answer my questions and he loved that I gave him music and specific song suggestions. He showed up right on time the day of the party and had plenty of time before to set up his equipment. He kept the party rockin' with great music and everyone had a wonderful time dancing!! I would highly recommend DJ Daniel!! His song selection was fun and I loved the lighting that he provided as well to enhance the mood and make it fun! We danced the night away and it was a fabulous birthday and a great party!! read more

DJ Dan the Man! We hired Dan for our 110 person wedding in San Diego and got toooons of compliments from guests. He kept the party rocking, was super friendly, and did an excellent job mixing in a pretty eclectic list of tracks we provided ahead of time for the cocktail hour and then of course for all the dancing. Dan is a great communicator and was always available via text to go over things and work on planning. In our case, we had a very casual wedding without a lot of the traditional stuff, but he was super prepared and I got the sense that he's done so many weddings that he could handle pretty much anything. A real pro! Loved working with him and highly recommend him for anyone looking for an experienced and friendly dude to rock that dance floor! Thank you DAN! read more

I highly recommend DJ DAN for any event, especially if you are looking for a DJ for you most special wedding day! Thanks again DJ Dan! Leilani & Troy 10.18.15 read more

Daniel has been BEYOND responsive every time I have contacted him, before and after signing a contract with him and putting a deposit down for our wedding. He is very professional, friendly and personable. He's so laid back and I have never felt so comfortable and confident in someone managing such a large part of my wedding. He supplied a schedule to help correlate my wedding (I had no idea some of the things that had to be put into a schedule) and it helped make my life a lot easier. He made suggestions and gave me ideas that I hadn't even though of! He is extremely personable and our personalities clicked very well. I will be referring all of my friends to him for any event. He has a ton of experience and he has proof of it all that he is extremely proud of. I'm so happy we found this gem! Thanks Daniel!!! :) can't wait to work with you more! UPDATE: Daniel is AMAZING!!!!! My wedding this past weekend was phenomenal thanks to him. We changed up our schedule literally 10 minutes before the wedding began, and he made it work as it it was in the schedule from day 1. I'll be honest, I didn't give him the greatest order of things because well, I was unorganized, and he winged it like a pro. Our dance floor stayed packed the entire time and all of my friends and family said it was one of the most fun weddings they had ever been too... Even my 80 year old grandmother was on the dance floor A LOT and I have never seen that woman move like that before. If your not hiring Daniel, your making a HUGE mistake. Thank you so much!!!!!! read more

Better late then never. DJ Dan provided lighting and DJ services for my wedding in May of 2013. My wife (fiance at the time) and I met with him several months before the wedding at a local coffee shop and provided him details that we would like for the wedding (entrance song, do not play list and general music preferences for the reception). Did not hear from him except for a confirmation during the following months. It was hard to get a hold of him, but he was apologetic and explained that he was very busy with events. We requested information on his ability to provide a set up for one of my groomsmen and his father to play the song for our first dance. It was of course no problem. The day of the wedding, Dan and his assistant arrived early and got everything ready. Dan did an amazing job through out the night. He picked great songs throughout the night and played appropriate music through the different phases of the night. Several of our guests raved about the song selections and how much fun they had dancing and partying throughout the night. I highly recommend DJ Dan for any event that you may be organizing. He is professional, friendly and did not disappoint. read more

Here is what we have to say about DJ Daniel (Evolution Productions).... HE KILLED IT!! He made our wedding and reception amazing. Professional, consistent, great follow up, and absolute pleasure to work with. We had a very eclectic mix of family and friends from all walks of life, age, and parts of the world. We had been to a few weddings and did A LOT of homework on DJs. Of the 16 we looked at he was our first pick and he did not disappoint one bit. We have/will recommend him for any events and plan on giving a call when we need a DJ in the future. We just couldn't have been more impressed and happy with his services. Thank you DJ Daniel for making our wedding memorable for everyone that was there. read more

Dear Bride & Groom to be, We would like to share with you the wonderful experience we enjoyed with one of San Diego's premier providers of quality event entertainment. DJ Dan was a delight to have as Master of Ceremonies and DJ for our spook-tacular Halloween wedding. Blending old favorites with a fresh, modern mix, he had the whole reception up out of their seats and kept our guests moving on the dance floor from start to finish! When we first began planning our own wedding and started looking for a DJ for the reception, we didn't know what to expect. But DJ Dan instantly put us at ease when wet met him at the neighborhood Starbucks. More than just providing MC and DJ services, Dan actually helped us plan our event. We sat and talked over coffee, and he walked us through step-by-step how the night of our reception would go. He answered all of our questions and paid attention to every last detail. Everything about Evolution Production's Professional DJ Service just blew us away: from the polished website showcasing music available for our event (www.evolutionprodjs.com), and DJ Dan's polite and gracious manner when meeting with the bride-to-be and mother of the bride, to the professional invoice which allowed for convenient and secure payment. (Not to mention the competitive, affordable price!) After shopping around, we knew we'd found the right fit and felt really good about choosing Dan as our wedding DJ. We couldn't have made a better decision when we hired Evolution Productions. You can rest easy knowing their professional DJ will handle everything on your big day. Thank you, DJ Dan, for helping to make our wedding day one we will cherish and remember forever! Best Regards and Congratulations to You! read more

My then-fiancee had emailed DJ Dan to inquire about booking him for our wedding reception, after which he immediately called her back to schedule a sit-down chat, at the location of our choosing. Upon our first meeting, he was extremely nice, friendly, and obviously marketing himself for a sale, but in a way that wasn't pushy nor overly boisterous at all. He had a wealth of promotional material to show us, from videos and photos of past gigs to flyers showing the variety of events he's done, as well as his especially helpful sample CDs. We gave him an idea of what we wanted in terms of event feel and musical choices, and he seemed to be really accommodating and even gave us some ideas we hadn't even thought of. We decided to hire him on the basis of his attentiveness, prompt follow-up, and his honesty in the fact that he told us there was another possible gig but that he would love to play for us instead. It just felt right to go with someone who cared for his clients. From then on, with a few months to iron out the details, we had two more meetings after that. Each time we met he was always professional, organized, and a great communicator--in person, on the phone and via email. He made it easy for us to not have to have a heavy hand in planning yet another aspect of our wedding, and only asked for a few things from us: the evening schedule, special songs (first dance, etc), and even do-not-play songs (a must when you're sick of "At Last"--sorry Etta, RIP, but that song is way too overplayed!). Also, when we told him we were expecting a number of avid swing dancers to be in attendance and that I would provide him with some music to play for that segment, he was excited to do just that. When it came time to the day of, I knew I could rest easy and just enjoy the night as he took care of both MC and DJ duties (with the help of an assistant), and we didn't have to worry at all about his role, because he was simply on top of it! He made sure the evening event flowed ever so smoothly: played appropriate, not-too-loud dinner/background music; made clear and well-timed announcements; announced and handed off to the toast givers seamlessly; and got the party started with the perfect mix of swingin', booty-shaking, and gushy lovey-dovey music! I loved that Dan later told us he was blown away by all the excellent dancing we had out there. My only regret was that he really could've, and should've, kept the tunes spinning the whole night had it not been for our venue needing to shut down. Maybe we'll have to hire him for an anniversary dance party! By far, the best was when we were trying to decide on our reception entrance song, and we high-fived our lightsabers when we agreed that the Star Wars Throne Room theme song would be most appropriate. The execution of that was galactic. Thanks again DJ Dan! TL;DR: Hire DJ Dan. He's great to work with, exudes professional courtesy, and plays great music to accommodate your event. read more

We just used DJ Dan and Evolution productions for our wedding in point loma and couldn't have been happier. Dan was the first and only dj we met with as he made our decision pretty easy. By far the best priced DJ I spoke with and he was extremely helpful and willing to work with us. I gave him a list of must play and do not play songs which he stuck to flawlessly, and a lot of guests commented on how good the music was. Every time I called or emailed Dan, he answered right away which is a huge plus when you're planning a wedding and changing your mind every 5 minutes about which songs to pick. He's also very professional, not just sitting behind a computer but actually keeping the flow of the wedding going with announcements and such, dead-on timing wise. I will highly recommend him to everybody! read more

Dj Daniel was amazing at our wedding. He was professional, had great gear, showed up early, and was willing to help out with everything. Not a typical cheezy wedding DJ. He's the real deal. Everyone had the best time. read more

DJ Daniel is a complete professional. He has so much experience with weddings that it was refreshing and comforting. His professionalism and follow up was very impressive. At the end of the wedding, I had so many guests that were raving about his skills and approach. Seeing DJ Daniel from Evolution Productions rock the crowd was definitely one of the highlights of Giselle and Mark's Wedding at the Marina Village. His team is professional, talented, and energetic. He is there for the client and he is reliable. One of the most important elements of a wedding, is the music. But most importantly, a DJ that knows how to rock the crowd and get people moving. Being the photographer for the wedding, I must say that the energy from DJ Daniel made all the difference for the entire event because everybody was having a blast, and the photos came out entertaining, not boring! If you want to remember a fun celebration while looking back at all your photos/video from your wedding, then hire Daniel and his team for a night to remember! read more

Our friends highly recommended this DJ and when we met with him we just loved him! He was easy to work with, he was very responsive, his pricing was affordable, and he made sure to make our day exactly what we wanted it to be. He gave us feedback on our music selection, on the timing of our professional, and even did a few extra things like sound bites. He truly loves his job, he even gets out there and sings along, he knows how to play to to crowd and felt the vibe of our party and kept the party moving. We had SO many people tell us how much our DJ rocked and our dance floor was always packed! He is SUCH a personable guy that you feel like you have a new close friend in DJ Dan. If we EVER need a DJ again we will for SURE use DJ Dan!! Thank you for making our wedding the best night of our lives! Matt and Amanda read more

I know that somehow there is a bad review for him... after meeting Dan, there has to be something else to the story. Dan is such a nice guy and amazing at his work. We used Dan for our wedding, and he was amazing. We paid a higher price for him than the other DJ's that approached us. I found his website and really liked the upbeat music he does as a non-wedding DJ. He accommodated everything we asked for. He is energetic and passionate about what he does. Which is awesome, because he really got the crowd going. Originally the ultra religious conservative side of our wedding told us they would leave when the drinking and dancing would start.... hahaha, well they loved the music he was playing so much that they stuck around for the whole thing. Everyone was dancing at one point... I literally mean everyone. We can prove it with pictures. He got tons of compliments from our guests, they all were surprised that there is actually a difference between a DJ and a Good DJ. When I first paid a higher price, I really questioned why... cause a DJ is a DJ right? Nope, not after what we saw Dan can do. Seriously, the dude is amazing and worth it. read more

DJ Dan did an awesome job at a recent 60th birthday party I threw for my partner. My partner provided a long set list of background songs that he wanted to play at the party. Although DJ Dan didn't have all the songs already, he made sure to find as many as he could. My partner was thrilled to not only hear the song he requested but even the version he requested! Impressive detail. Once the party got rocking DJ Dan knew exactly how to keep the energy going and graciously took suggestions from the guests. Not only was DJ Dan great at the party, he was amazing leading up to the party. His laid back but detail oriented attitude relieved any anxiety I was having regarding how the music would be that night. There were many details to be concerned about during the party but the music was not one of them! Thanks DJ!! read more

I had the pleasure of working with Daniel and he was amazing!! His energy was infectious and his talent is is by far the best in this industry!! DJ Daniel is amazing!! This review is for our wedding that we just had last Saturday May 24th 2014. First of all he is super friendly and energetic and makes you feel comfortable right away. We met up before the wedding for coffee and he gave us some great suggestions and some homework to do so that we would be prepared. On the day of the wedding he showed up early, was super fun, totally professional and played every song I requested and then some. We got so many compliments on how awesome the DJ was from all our friends and family. A DJ is so incredibly important on how the day of your wedding will go and I promise you that if you hire DJ Daniel he will not disappoint!! I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a DJ and I would hire him again in a heartbeat!!! read more

Dj Dan did an awesome job for my daughters sweet 16 birthday party! I must admit that I was a little nervous at first being that I hadn't heard any demos from him or had done much research on his work, which was totally my fault because he did provide me with links to check out. But believe me when I tell you he does not disappoint. He knows how to get the party goin!!! I mean those kids partied harder than most adults! He kept them on the dance floor all the way to the end! He also was extremely helpful in coordinating the sequence of events. I'm am extremely happy customer and Dad. Dj Dan I will never doubt your skills again!! Lol! Hire him now! read more

When I first got engaged, I was instantly thrown into a whirlpool of planning. So many things to do and so many vendors to hire. Having a kick butt DJ was one of the most important things I just knew I had to have. My entire family is musical and I knew that I wanted to impress them. And I wanted to make sure that everyone, old and young, had a great time and felt comfortable on the dance floor. I met DJ Daniel one night while I was out with my sister and a few friends; he was playing a gig at Brick Alley, a bar close to my house. The night was awesome! We all had such a great time, and we danced and sang the night away. I immediately thought that I should see if he does weddings. We got a chance to talk for just a bit, and he gave me his contact info. I called him the next day and he responded immediately. He said that he does weddings and would like a chance to sit down with me and show me what he does. I agreed and met him later that day. He showed up looking so professional - slacks, button down, much different than he had been the night before at the bar. I was immediately impressed as first impressions are big with me especially considering I am an attorney and feel first impressions go a long way! Once I sat down with DJ Daniel, I knew he was going to be good. He showed me his entire portfolio - something he clearly took pride in. He explained all of his services and also took me through the night, so to speak, with what he would do and suggested numerous songs for the various dances and "moments" throughout the night. I was amazed and pretty sure I had found my DJ. However, I thought I better go check out one more just to make sure. Later that afternoon, I met another DJ who works with a large company here in San Diego. Let me just say - what a disappointment. He had nothing to say and the meeting lasted less than 5 minutes. I left the second meeting and instantly called DJ Daniel to tell him I wanted to hire him. He agreed and I am so happy he did. Planning the various songs, speeches, and other things a DJ must deal with was so easy with DJ Daniel's help. He sure does know his music!! He helped with the song choices and really just made the process so easy. On the big day, DJ Daniel was one of the first vendors to arrive. He was dressed to impress and immediately began to get to work. He played some great music and I don't think anyone - no matter what age - did not get on that dance floor. He kept it fun and light - exactly as I had requested. He really made the night unforgettable and kept the dance floor packed all night long. I would recommend DJ Daniel for any kind of function! He was fantastic and truly a pleasure to work with. I know he will be at my next party and every anniversary to come!! Thanks DJ Daniel! read more

We booked DJ Dan for a family birthday party at The Loft at UC San Diego and were very pleased. He is friendly, professional, straight-forward, and really talented. He can take your average 80's love ballad and turn it into a dance mix. It was only later in listening to a CD he made for us that I could see the amount of preparation that went into our little party. Highly-recommended--your guests will have fun! read more

We loved Dj Daniel! We had him as our wedding DJ this past weekend and he had everyone dancing from my parents to my friends. He choose all the right songs and really knew our crowd. I would recommend him for all my DJ needs! read more

Dj Daniel should change his name to Dj Dontcall; because that's what he does once he suckers you out of $500 for his non-refundable deposit. We chose dj Daniel based on his yelp reviews, but obviously he has 14 friends that that were willing to make fake yelp reviews for him. He seemed nice and friendly when we signed the contract. We negotiated with him on pricing and he later recanted saying the ceremony was not included in the price. When we sent him a copy of the contract he said it was his bad and was his misunderstanding. That was when he stopped communicating with us. It was two weeks before our wedding and we had to scramble to find a new dj. When he finally did communicate over a week later he blamed it on an illness. PayPal did not refund our deposit because it wasn't for a tangible item. He refused to give us our money back and said it was non-refundable and he wasn't doing our wedding. read more

Daniel, thank you so much!! Made my life so easier since I knew you had the music covered. Didn't have to worry or think how it was going to go, you know it and you have everything organized and handled. Music is a big big part of the day and you nailed every part of from the ceremony to the dance. Appreciate the color you added with all the lights too! Can't say thank you enough!! DJ Dan Rocks, from our first contact he was enthusiastic, and professional. We hosted a Christmas Party for my wife's co-workers. The group was ages 21-60, and he kept everyone entertained. So i found Daniel through a blog on my wedding venue's website. We got married at mt. woodson castle which is a very unique set up and needed someone who already knew the property. He was in our budget so i decided to make the call. we soon after met up and he was so professional and seemed so excited from the beginning. We booked him pretty soon after the meeting and kept in contact through the year before the big day. He was so excited about our little details like specific versions of songs down the aisle, timing etc. The wedding day came and he was even better then expected. we told him we love 70's rock and country and thats what we got! everyone kept asking us where we found him cause the music selection was so good! if we ever have another event needing a dj he will be our first stop! thanks daniel for the perfect day!!!!!! read more

DJ Daniel did an outstanding job at my son's High School graduation party. Just the right mix of music to set the mood from early cocktail and dinner hour to party on the dance floor time late into the evening. Very accommodating to requests and interacting with the guests. DJ Daniel from Evolution Productions performed at our annual New Year's Eve Party for 2015. We had previously met and heard him perform him at several other friends' events, and liked the way he seemed to be able to easily adapt his music and style to all ages and play music the crowd enjoyed, so we were comfortable knowing what we were going to get, and he did not disappoint. Our New Year's Eve Party included friends, family, and acquaintances of all ages, which translated to a wide range of musical tastes and preferences. DJ Daniel was able to mix the music to please everyone, from adults down to the youngest guests. His ability to seamlessly transition from Latin Salsa to Pop, Rock and even Rap was impressive, and he worked to the crowd with ease, drawing them onto the dance floor with his mix of commentary and music. His incorporation of our desire to have a New Year's Eve countdown and toast at midnight was the highlight of the evening, and provided the icing on the cake for our fabulous party!
