Peri and Jenna are amazing!! They are both knowledgeable, helpful and giving me the support and encouragement I desperately need after a painful and frustrating injury. The moment you tell them an exercise isn't feeling good or is causing you pain, zero drama, they instantly try an adjustment or come up with a different exercise altogether. Peri is already so hard to schedule but she's so good! And her massage is absolutely on point. She's got the touch and intuition. The place is clean and the staff is very nice. And they play good and fun music playlist and it's not too loud. Sometimes the fans are too noisy and are blowing too hard and they should play commercial free radio stations or playlists. I cancelled my subsequent appointments with Evolution Therapy when I saw the $25 "Wellness" charge on my credit card. No one told me they charge $25/month for the "priviledge" of working with one of their therapists. It is a shame because the facility is near my home and I liked my first meeting with Clem. But I really don't appreciate that they were not upfront about the charge and there are many good therapy places that don't charge an extra fee (that is not covered by insurance). read more

THE WORST! Even though the physical therapists are good, the administration is terrible. They rip you off with fees. They charge a weekly "wellness" for absolutely no reason, and when you are no longer a patient, they keep charging you! They are completely unresponsive when you try to fix this. AVOID them! My physical therapist, Rex Brayley, is knowledgeable, thorough and considerate. He is helping me heal from my broken shoulder with directed massage to keep frozen shoulder from happening, increasing my range of motion, and strengthening my muscles that have begun to atrophy. Great PT office! I've been working with Peri for a few months. She's super knowledgeable, explains why we're doing certain exercises and takes time to answer questions. She also keeps things fun and light so it doesn't feel like a slog to go to PT. The other staff are also super friendly. I used to have a torn rotator cuff. Steroid shots gave temporary relief. I could not lift my arm straight up or reach behind my back. After three months in Alexa Willis' care, my shoulder is remarkably stronger. I typically don't leave reviews but wanted to in this case because I had such an amazing experience here. All credit goes to my physical therapist, Erin! She was so cheerful, friendly, kind, and listened to my needs. Honestly, her sunny disposition made going to my sessions much more fun and I actually looked forward to them. Her exercises challenged me the right amount and she made sure to adjust the intensity depending on what my body needed. Some days I'd be sore from working out and we'd focus more on mobility and stretching. And other days when I was more fresh she'd put me through the wringer! After a few months the pain in my knee is gone. I can tell my weaker leg has grown stronger and I'm paying much more attention to my form (Erin pointed out what I had been doing incorrectly which probably contributed to some of my issues). All this goes to say that I can't recommend Erin enough! If you go here definitely ask for her if you can. read more

I can not say enough good things about Evolution Physical Therapy, and specifically my physical therapist Kelli. One great thing about EPT is their hours. I work roughly 6am-5:30pm, so it was almost impossible to find a physical therapy office that had evening hours I could actually make, especially during Covid when capacity is lower and hours have shifted. EPT had multiple locations and flexible hours which was fantastic for my schedule. Kelli and her team were incredible. I injured my feet running, and with a job where I am on my feet all day for 10+ hours, I was in incredible pain. Kelli was so knowledgable about my specific injuries and knew the perfect therapy needed. About 8 weeks later, my pain is gone and my injuries have healed! Kelli was so great about increasing the exercises and difficulty level as appropriate, and was also fantastic with suggestions of alternate options if something didn't feel good or it was something that wasn't working for me. She was also fantastic with going over and adjusting exercises I wanted to do at home in my workouts to make sure anything I was doing was aiding in my healing and not going to set me back. Kelli and her team were so friendly and fun to be around, and I was genuinely sad when I healed enough to not have to come in anymore. UNBELIEVABLE SERVICE AND OUTCOMES!! I personally worked with Drew throughout my 2.5 months rehabilitation at Evolution and the one word that comes to mind is "WWOOOOOOWWW!!!!!!" This guy is the real deal... whether it is his knowledge of physical therapy, friendly conversation, or purely just pushing you to get the outcomes you want he is the full package. I would not recommend anywhere else in LA to do your PT hands down. Waited three weeks for my first appt booked for 11/14 with Andrew. I received a phone call from Evolution days before to cancel that appt and they rescheduled me for 11/21 at 6pm. Walked in and there is no greeter; front desk is in the back. I was instructed to check in with a "virtual front desk asssitant" even though there was a live person at the actual front desk. The audio on the computer was horrible. It sounded like the virtual assistant was under water. She then told me that I did not have an appt booked for today and to go speak to the person at the "actual" front desk. They could see that I had an appt scheduled for 11/14 and that it was cancelled but no info on who called me and why wasn't it properly rescheduled. It seems they're technology in making appts is sub-par. Will be letting my ortho doc at UCLA know about this experience. read more

It is with sincere gratitude that I join the chorus of praise in this review section for Cindy Liang, Director, and master physical therapist of Evolution Therapy at 925 Wilshire Blvd, Santa Monica. Sometimes life can bring a medical misfortune which seems insurmountable and demoralizing and then a healer shows up who will patiently and tirelessly restore you and guide you back to health. This is my story with Cindy. Two years ago, when I was 73, I had a nasty fall on a staircase and tore the rotator cuff in my right shoulder. The pain and limited range of motion was very bad. I couldn't do simple everyday activities, couldn't even raise my arm above my head. The Orthopedic surgeon I went to proposed surgery, but I wanted to try physical therapy first, so she wrote a prescription and gave me a sheet with a list of PT facilities. I went to Yelp to see the reviews for the various places on the list. The many wonderful reviews about Cindy caught my attention so I made an appointment. I am a complimentary health care professional and I have certain standards of performance that I hold myself and others to which are quite high. As such, from the very beginning I knew I was in the right place with the right person. The facility was very pleasant, very well organized and all staff members were very friendly and welcoming. This was not surprising to me in retrospect when I learned that Cindy was the Director. As a practitioner myself, I always provide the people I treat a thorough overview of their condition and what the regimen will be moving forward. Accordingly, when I am the patient I ask a lot of questions, sometimes more than what a physician or provider is normally used to. Cindy took all of my inquiries in stride. Right off the bat she demonstrated that her expertise was comprehensive. Cindy was extremely understanding of my desire to avoid surgery and said she would give it her best shot. She analyzed the image reports I presented to her and then showed me physiological diagrams of shoulders from all different perspectives so that I could understand exactly what the nature of the injury was. She explained the progression of the physical therapy healing process and outlined a positive course of action we would be following which would include hands on manual release of trigger points and then a series of exercises for me to do on my own. Baby step after baby step. This was the knowledge base I was looking for. I was home. But the real revelation came when Cindy began working on my body. I have been around quite a while and over the years my body has been manipulated by all kinds of chiropractors, osteopaths, massage therapists, etc. I could feel in Cindy's touch that rare healing quality that a few practitioners have. I call it the gift. It's that intangible sense of relief when someone who really knows what they are doing carefully goes into the most painful area of the injury and then your whole body just begins to release, relax, and let go. It's an intuitive feeling, it's something... I don't know... it's the gift. I began working with Cindy twice a week. I followed the exercise regimen faithfully - and slowly but surely I improved. After three or four months I was improving very much. So much so that I asked her if she could work on some painful conditions I had developed in my old age in my knees, low back, and neck. She said she could if my doctor diagnosed the issues and wrote prescriptions. I went back to my orthopedic surgeon who was so impressed with the results for my shoulder that she did so. Cindy then organized a methodical plan to address all of these issues one by one so that I could have an integrated approach to remedy them all. I worked with Cindy for a year and a half, and the results have been amazing. I regained 95% of the range of motion in my shoulder without surgery. She has brought her gift to all of the chronic areas of discomforting limitations in my body and created a comprehensive physical therapy exercise regimen that I follow daily to mitigate and hold those issues in check. Across the board I emphatically give her the highest marks possible. Apart from her professional expertise, Cindy is also a delightful person who has a wonderful sense of humor. She just radiates warmth, competence, and confidence. I see the way she interacts with her staff, and it is obvious that they all love her. As a bonus Cindy is also a pizza aficionado and will gleefully direct you where to get the best slices around. Vertigo is a terribly debilitating "condition" that can significantly impact one's quality of life. Spinning, impaired balance and vision, nausea, vomiting, migraines...can be triggered as a string of symptoms, leaving one out of commission for a few hours to several days. It also happens to be commonly referred to as a symptom that eludes most physicians, leaving many patients to suffer unnecessarily. I was one of the lucky ones to be introduced to the senior physical therapist Cindy at Evolution who has extensive training in vestibular therapy, and who was able to treat me over an 8-week period with positional manipulations and exercises that relieved me of all vertigo symptoms. For 9 months, I suffered w/ debilitating vertigo after I had a stroke and carotid artery surgery. The "why" I had vertigo is complicated. And the "how to" treat it was complicated until I met Cindy. Five physicians over 9 months ran me thru MRIs, X-rays, hearing and balance tests, and physical manipulations with no symptom relief whatsoever. It takes so long to see medical doctors that any momentary relief they thought they provided was fleeting because vertigo doesn't disappear with a pill or on its own; it needs to be addressed--even attacked--consistently and therapeutically over time until the symptoms subside or are totally gone. And the kicker to my story, I met Cindy because I was getting physical therapy for a knee fracture and I couldn't do most rehab exercises that required me to bend over or move up and down due to my vertigo. Hence, therapist Kelly intro'd me to therapist Cindy. So I asked my GP for a referral and started my weekly appointments with Cindy. Because my ear crystals on different planes had been dislodged, it took repetitive movements and manipulations for them to flow back to their proper spots and allow me freedom to move as I did before my stroke. I LOVE it here.... My physical therapist Kelli S (PT DPT OCS) is phenomenal at her profession. I first visited Kelli in July of 2020, at the time I had injured my upper back and shoulder from longer distance running coupled by inadequate stretching. Kelli properly assessed the damage at my first consultation and recommended a treatment plan which lasted several months, I have say I was somewhat skeptical considering I had visited Beverly Hills Chiropractors in the previous month that were unsuccessful in their treatments. I was in EXTREME pain, had difficulty sleeping, and was seriously considering setting aside my love of running as a continued work out program. Kelli quickly created a training program which consisted of twice weekly visits, adjustments, stretching, strength training, and an aggressive at home regiment of DIY workouts which included videos specific to my treatment plan. Within a few weeks I had noticeable reduction in pain and I was once again jogging every other day, after approximately 8weeks I was 100%.
