Truthfully, I feel taken advantage of by that company, like they just wanted to make a sale, neglecting to properly inspect and diagnose my prior unit. The issues I was having previously have returned. I'm very frustrated and don't want to deal with them again. I should have known better when the responding tech took less than 5 minutes to mutter, "This heater is bad. This is not a good brand," despite my previous heater being only 4 years old. I contacted Coleman's A/C Heating & Appliance Repair seeking a professional who would listen carefully to the issues I'm describing and offer sound advice/solutions on how to proceed. I expected to hear back from Coleman's within a day or two. But my inquiry was responded to quickly. The technician was friendly, listened, and we discussed what could be done to get my hot water going again. It was suggested I contact the company that performed the install since I'm still under warranty. But it was such a negative experience with an inattentive, apathetic tech that I'd rather cut my losses and allow Coleman's to care for my unit. I will follow Coleman's advice. But at the first sign of indifference or rudeness by that other company, I'll call Coleman's out to fix my heater.

For many years, our household has relied on one of, if not the biggest name in Jackson, to service our heating/air conditioning needs. That relationship was laid to rest with one call placed to AirSouth back in early May. Since we were unhappy with the company we'd used for years, my husband spoke with several HVAC wholesalers in the area, and they all said the same thing, "That if it was their house, they would call AirSouth out of Mendenhall." So, we did, heeding their high recommendations. In fact, my husband was so impressed with their sales representative's knowledge (Brian), he contracted them that day. Initially, their technicians, Chris and Elliot, installed our new unit and reworked our ducts for maximum airflow (something the other Jackson contractor acted as if we didn't need). In the twenty years we have lived in our house, we've never had the air flow that we do now. And even better, reworking the ducts the way they did has saved us over $100 each month on our electric bill. Then, roughly two months later, we purchased a Nest thermostat that one of their technicians, Johnathon, installed for us as a courtesy, at no charge. While he was there, we talked about adding a purification system and having our ductwork cleaned, the latter of which we had never done. Two weeks later, two of their technicians, Ben and Joel were back at our house, putting it in and vacuuming our ducts, getting them nice and clean. They even took pictures to show us the before and after. And I'm happy to say that my sinus issues have been greatly reduced as a direct result. Hands down, AirSouth is one of the most professional large-scale contractors my husband and I have ever used. Every technician was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, hard-working, had a sense of pride about their job, were respectful to their surroundings, and took great pains to clean up after themselves. Not only did they arrive on time, all three times they were scheduled, but they sent us several courtesy texts, one of which included a picture of the technician that would be doing the work. Not only did I find it a friendly touch, but I liked the safety aspect of it just as much. In closing, five stars doesn't seem enough for the service they provide or the expertise they exemplify. If anything, they deserve all the stars in the sky.

Honestly, I can't believe I am having to deal with this situation. I have never received such poor…read moreservice and indifference from a company in my life. I purchased a new unit less than 2 weeks ago. The salesman, Joseph, made many promises, none of which have been kept and now my unit does not work at all. It is likely a small issue with the install, electrical, etc... Doesn't matter. This is a $20k unit, and yes I overpaid. I knew it was too much, but I assumed paying a premium would get me premium service - the opposite has happened. I'm on the 2nd day of no A/C and it's 82 degrees today. They have failed to show up THREE times as of right now. I have taken off work and canceled plans to be here, and apparently, they were not even going to tell me they were not coming. I had to call when the appointment window had passed to find out. They claim to have a 1 year "test drive" period in which they take everything out and refund you, but I have no confidence in anything they say. We are about to find out if that's the truth or not. This situation is pathetic and sorry. To charge so much and to have a grown man stand in my living room, look me in the eye and lie to my face about what I should expect is abhorrent and shameful. Please, call someone else. Anyone else. I don't see how it can get much worse than AirSouth.

My tech was super friendly and coordinated with my tenant to get to my property promptly to inspect…read morethe AC leak. He was a very nice person. He appeared to do a cursory review, was on his phone laughing and chatting the while he was there (per my tenant) however his inspection did not find the source of the leak. I was told "the area is dry, nothing leaking here, and the drain pan is dry." The leak slowly continued as my tenant's AC was being used, which caused further damage to my ceiling. (see pic) The service call was not cheap, nor was the problem resolved. A subsequent company found the issue to be a blocked condensation line and they unclogged it. I really wanted a better outcome, but unfortunately, it's now costing me even more as the damage is worse.

Every other A/C company I have spoken with immediately says (before they even inspect the system) that I defiantly need a new system when they hear my old one is 20 years old. I'm not in total disagreement with that statement, but Timmy inspected all the pieces of the system and decided that the leak I had was very small. A new charge of R22 (at 1/2 the price of other A/C companies) and my units are running like they are new, cooling the house very nicely. It is a rare occurrence when someone isn't trying to sell you a 10,000 dollar system and is just as happy to offer a way to extend the usefulness of your current system. When it does come time to replace my system, I will be getting a quote from this company as part of the bidding process.

My system worked fine for a few months. When talking with other AC repair experts, this is a total hack job. AC units are a closed system. Therefore, if freon is low, there is a LEAK. Good companies will find the leak and address that issue. Bad companies fill you up with more freon.
