I have purchased a good amount of Audio equipment from Jay and his team over the years. They have high quality stuff and know the business pretty well. They stand by their sale and installs too. My tv broke shortly after it's one year warranty expired. And Jay helped me contact Sony who eventually replaced the tv at no cost! On the audio side of things, Jay has gone out of his way for me and set up some equipment demos and did lots of swaps during the session so I could figure out what sound I liked best. For example, I just listened to the Naim uniti nova and the NAD m33 back to back on the same set of speakers (triton reference). I went into the session expecting to prefer the Naim, a piece of audio equipment I've been ogling for years. But the NAD blew me away and to my ears, was far superior in the aspects of sound that I value. This saved me 2k! It was also just plain fun and I enjoyed the experience. I'll also say that Jay understands the concept of diminishing returns quite well, so he's not just slanging the most expensive stuff. I highly recommend stopping by and checking it out. Purchased a NAD M33 brand new for a good price. Not much to say here since I basically called around to see who had one in stock and they did, I drove, paid, then left. We paid a lot of money to the high end division of a big chain store four years ago and when our sound bar stopped working, we found out that they no longer supported the control system that we paid so much for only four years ago. I saw a review of Evolution Audio & Video and am so glad that I hired them to update the tv set-up for my 90 year old mother. Mom had a smaller screen tv and complained that it was becoming harder to see programs due to this small size. Evolution sent techs over to scope out what we wanted and where we wanted it. They obtained the equipment suitable for the location - a large flat screen double the size of the previous television plus a DVD player. They took down the old tv which was mounted on an arm. They installed new electrical lines so the wall mounted tv had no wires dangling below. It was wonderful to have them arrive, prepare the electrical, unpack and install the hardware, vacuum up all debris and dust, and walk me through the final set up. I'm so busy and was grateful to have saved time by allowing them to do my shopping, installation and setup. It looks beautiful and is set up properly - we are really happy with their work. read more

I've had the pleasure of dealing with the knowlegeable people at Evolution A-V for major speaker purchases twice. The first time my brother drove up from San Diego because we had heard that it was a no-pressure,take your time atmosphere. We spent an enjoyable afternoon listening to their great inventories in wonderful sound rooms. The guys were very helpful as to his needs and he was most satisfied with their recomendations and his purchases. I returned a couple of months later to explain my needs for setting up a huge room in my new home and again, their recommendations were "right on". Jay has even contacted me several times after the sale to make sure that everthing worked out to my satisfaction! We had the worst experience ever!!! The price quoted was not what was charged. They added extra cables without connector ends on them and can't be used (and charged me for them). The Wall mount they installed does not function from tilt to flat (I was told to put a piece of wood between the wall and TV to keep it positioned where I wanted it!!). The Surround sound does not work and when they came out to check it out (2 days after the original install) I was told that this would be an extra charge service call THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THIER WORK. read more
