Just because you offer a plate for $50 does not necessarily means is good. In Italy you can have a fantastic dinner without breaking the bank. While we aren't 'regulars" we have dined here 5-6 times in the past 3 yrs. always great. Tonight was a bit different. Appetizers were over the top outstanding. Artichokes romana and eggplant tomato stack ... possibly two of the best Pre entrees ever. But then the main courses came ; Scallops w pasta pesto cream and chicken Scarpa Both, mediocre. Chicken bits were tiny and mostly bone and dark meat. Sausage was great. Scallops well cooked but the pasta and basil sauce was totally bland and runny. Neither of us finished our meal. This was my first time at Evo, and it definitely will not be my last. The hostesses at the front were very kind and welcoming and seated us as soon as possible. We never had to ask for refills on bread or water as every single worker was very attentive. I started with the lavender lemon drop which was sweet and very well made. Our waitress, Samantha, was beyond charismatic and extremely knowledgeable about wine pairings for our entrees. Sam recommended various options from the specials and answered any questions we had about the menu, even gladly making adjustments to a meal for our liking. The manager came around to each table, ensuring everything was served to their high standards, and thanked us for choosing to dine with them. I ordered the lobster bruschetta, which I am pretty sure I will be dreaming about because it was that good! For my main meal, I ordered the Pennine Rigate Vodka, which was extremely flavorful and something I will be ordering again! For dessert, we shared the tiramisu and the cannoli and, to top it all off, an expresso martini- all of which were divine. I was so impressed with the ambiance, the service, and the food. Call for a reservation. Online Open Table only had 4 PM seating. We called and got 6 PM. Perfect place to dine. Beautiful inside, or eat outside in the garden area......very impressive. If you're in a rush, don't bother coming here. We were there for 3 1/2 hours. No-fault of ours. The waitress we had wasn't the best. Friendly yes, I had to flag down someone for more water, ask for more bread. The wife asked for salt, she never brought it to the table. If you're looking for ambiance......this place is it. Perfect place for that special occasion. Someone in a previous review mentioned they felt rushed. I figured out why we were never rushed. Our waitress forgot about us, hence why it took 3 1/2 hours to eat. Someone in the reviews mentioned the portions were large. I ordered the Chicken Scarpa..........should have renamed the dish to Chicken Scant (very little food). Basically, chicken breast cut in half with one leg, a few diced (undercooked Yukon gold potatoes, thin slices of red and orange peppers, a thin slice of onion, one sausage link. The few cubed potatoes weren't even completely cooked as they were still hard. The chicken was delicious. I loved the bread slices, thick crust. They give you a flat dish with Balsamic vinegar and oil. It's cool looking as they spell out EVO with balsamic on the bottom of the dish. Also, included on the table is a fresh flower, little bottle of sanitizer for your hands. There is a reason the menu is broken down into 5 courses for dinner. You will need to order from each group in order to get full. Our 2 guests were happy with their meal. Would I go back? YES. I will just make sure to not have the same waitress. I never base the restaurant on a waiter or waitress. You never know how their life is and what they dealt with before work. Try the place again, just ask for a different person, then make your decision. Please don't base your score on one person's attitude. Look beyond. If you do go to Evo bring your patience and a fat wallet. read more

Could not get a Rez on Open Table so called - no problem getting one. Asked for outside-no. Got there , less than 1/2 of outdoor tables were taken. Got a table outside and no other tables were seated after ours. You'd think yo u were trying to get a table at Alinea or the French Laundry instead of a strip shopping center -pretentious! Bucatini Carbonara was heavy, stuck together and fatty. Portions are too large and quality is too low. Service was very good but won't go back.... read more

I wanted to surprise my wife for a special anniversary occasion with dinner at the highly touted Evo Italian - we left frustrated and extremely disappointed. My wife's meal was fine, served hot like a typical Italian meal would be. Mine, the Sunday gravy was served cold. I called the waitress over who was very nice and 15 minutes later I received a microwaved version of what my meal was supposed to be, which was luke warm, not hot. The manager, completely oblivious. Any decent waiter or waitress should have informed the manager of the issue prior to visiting tables asking "how was your meal". The managers demeanor was completely aloof. The place looks great, the prices for the quality of the food are on the extreme high end and I would rate the service based on my microwaved luke warm dinner a 2 out of a 10. I could have cooked up a hungry man in the microwave and enjoyed a better meal. Needless to say, I kept my calm and sent a message to Evo's website (they have a messaging tool on their site). No response to my message was ever sent. No offer of "Hey, your special occasion was ruined by your ice cold Sunday Gravy, here's a meal on the house, or an apology or SOMETHING! In closing, if you like to think you're a fancy rich Chef running your place in the back of a strip plaza like your hiding from the FBI and you like crappy service and no apologies and no response for a ruined evening, then by all means - enjoy this joint. read more

This was our first dinner from Eve and unfortunately it had to be takeout with the current restrictions. The woman who answered the phone to take the order and ultimately deliver it was a 10 plus in attitude, knowledge and friendliness. That got her a $26 tip On an $174 order. The veal chop and potatoes Marsala was excellent or even outstanding! The squid in pasta was perfect wit a light sauce of tomato and garlic. The shrimp that came with it were overcooked, chewy and dry. The Bolognese sauce was excellent with that dish, the pasta overcooked and gummy. The meatballs were simply the best I have had since my Italian godmother made them. Simply perfect. Light, tasty, accompanied by a tomato sauce I could eat them daily! Kudos! The two beet salads were very good and the accompanying bread and grated cheese, lovely. We will return some day and ask for al dente pasta and properly cooked shrimp. The pricing deserved a better end product with those two items. read more

Stayed at the Jupiter Beach resort and was looking for a nice place to take 6 of us out for my 35th Anniversary. Taking the UBER to the shopping center, I was a little suspect, but once we walked into Evo Italian, my eyes lit up. Everyone was friendly, table was ready for 730 and we had a fabulous time from the moment we sat down till the time we left. Started off with Calamari appetizer which was delicious and we loved the spiciness of the sauce. We each ordered something different, had shrimp parm, like a meat lovers pasta, grouper, gnocchi and everything was just perfect. Coming from Boca Raton, were we have tons of restaurants, Evo was as good as any Italian Restaurant we have eaten. We've owned a second home in Jupiter for 20 years and passed up on opportunities to check out EVO because it was off the beaten path by being located in a discreet area of a strip mall. We are so happy to have discovered and tried EVO last evening. We wound up sitting at the bar rather than a table. There is a pleasant, romantically lit, outside courtyard as well as an inviting interior tabled vibe. The bar was energized with chill music and patrons of all ages. The bar staff was easy going, approachable, and made us great Manhattans and Old Fashions. We tried the squash blossoms, beet salad, bolognese pasta and salmon. All portions were large and delicious. I am a southern Italian who only cooks from scratch, so I appreciated the high quality ingredients and fresh taste of all that we tried. I am happy we discovered this little gem in Tequesta but sorry it took us this long to do so! We will, certainly, become regular patrons from now on! read more

It's 5 star worthy! I only wish I could of taken off my jeans so I could of eaten more! They start with delicious homemade Italian bread and heavenly olive oil with a balsamic drizzle. They also treat you to delicious olives and cheese.. and this is before you order!! I ordered the special that night, Snapper Francaise. It was absolutely one of the most delicious pieces of fish I have ever had. The Roman artichokes are a must as they melt in your mouth and leave you wanting more. Soooo happy we found this place!! It sits in the back of a not so nice looking shopping center but don't that that fool you. Once you step inside, the outside is forgotten. It's absolutely fabulous! We sat at the bar because we did not have a reservation and they were full. Service was phenomenal and they make a really nice cucumber martini! The menu is awesome and on most salads and pasta dishes you can get a half order which is really nice. I started with a half arugula and watermelon salad which was truly delicious and my husband had a small Caesar which he really enjoyed. He had a carbonara pasta dish which looked fabulous and my eggplant rollatini was the best I've ever had. We finished with Tiramisù which again was fabulous. I can't wait to go back! read more

EVO "Eat Very Occasionally , we arrived at 7:25 for a 7:30 reservation. We waited 20 minutes to be seated. Then we waited at least another 20 minutes to order a drink. After ordering our drinks, we waited at least another 20 to 30 minutes for our drinks to arrive. And then waited another 15 minutes to order our food. Apparently this restaurant is very understaffed. I love how I'm not even the 100th reviewer of this place, yet it was solid booked tonight, that's how not mainstream Tequesta is yet. I'm going to only comment on the food and the service. The veal chop and broccoli rab was the best in the area and possibly South Florida. That veal chop was the shi even though it was probably an off menu item. They were very accommodating of my gluten and dairy allergy. And the host Jackie was probably one of the best hostesses/outdoors waitresses I've ever encountered. Now I can't comment on the traditional pasta/Italian food yet, but I'm more of a veal chop type of guy anyways. read more

We visited with our family. We had ordered the eggplant appetizer ... it was excellent. I asked the waiter to please serve me pasta soft... he said fine. It was al dente and dry. I proceeded to choke on the pasta....taken on a gurney to the emergency room....out of the restaurant . Because I couldn't breathe or swallow....the staff could care less.. they ran back to the kitchen to process our complete bill. Manager did not try to attend or assist. A patron called for an ambulance,not management of restaurant . Unbelievable.... don't choke on anything... they will make sure you pay before you expire.Bill was paid in full. read more

It wasn't bad, but maybe I had super high expectations cause I see it all over social media all the time and all of the reviews, but it was just Italian food. Service was good, tables were TINY, and for four people we were definitely cramped. We started with the meatballs, and two big meatballs came for $15+ and it was fine. I was expecting so much more for the price and the online presence. Three of us had pasta, with this "famous" Sunday gravy, clams, and the "black" pasta and no one was raving . It was all just fine. The chicken dish we ordered came with a ton of soggy veggies, regular mashed potatoes, and again just fine. We had two desserts, which honestly were the best part of the meal. My husband surprised me with a birthday dinner here last night, and boy does this place excel in their ability to celebrate occasions! It was our first visit and be won't be our last! Our waitress Samantha greeted us with a beautiful smile and pleasant demeanor. I received a large white rose and a hand written happy birthday card. Real crusty Italian bread and olive oil were brought to the table. We took our time choosing from the specials and regular menu. The bartender recommended a couple of wines and provided tasting samples. Both wines were excellent but I chose the lovely French chard with a floral fruity bouquet. The whole meal was at a very relaxed and perfectly timed pace. We enjoyed all our selections and were treated to a chocolate cake desert complete with a sparkler! This place is our #1 favorite restaurant! Food is phenomenal... not one item on the menu isn't great... for me the appetizers You can't miss are the meatballs, zucchini flowers, pasta purses, or Sicilian stack... my favorite entrees are the filet, Bolognese, carbonara, or a classic chick parm(off menu, but they are happy to oblige)... the new dry aged steaks are off the charts!! If you catch a swordfish special or the lobster bisque it will knock your socks off... great wine selection, delicious mixed drinks... this one is a can't miss!
