So I got red cheese enchiladas...super plain...not a lot of cheese..a small piece of tomato cabbage and small piece of onion thrown on top. I also got the chicken poblano enchiladas and the same thing. Everywhere else they put queso fresco on top, more lettuce or cabbage, diced tomatoes, salsa, crema, pico de gallo. Something. Super yummy! Their corn tortillas are homemade and they have nopales. and staff is super friendly and nice. We got two burritos with rice, beans, lettuce, tomato, nopales, cheese, avocado. Delicious! read more

First time there this week. Food was amazing and portion was way more than enough. They serve birria de chivo and menudo daily which is a plus. Service was great too she checked on us often. Price of food was beyond reasonable, I actually thought it was cheap. Menu has a little of everything, it was hard to decide. read more

Plump, fresh, juicy, big shrimp with fresh cheese on my tostadas. It wasn't on the menu but I asked and I'll order it again; sorry I forget the price but it was so reasonable, I thought "We have to make this our regular stop between the Bay Area and Pismo". Family member had carne asada soft tacos, yum. Great food, prices are just as good! Clean, no flies, not too noisy, comfortable. King City appears to be a nice little town. read more

Found this place on yelp while planning a quick weekend away. Easy to find location, street parking only. Bare basics on the inside, a few booths but mostly plastic chairs and tables, a long extensive menu. We ordered a wet burrito with chili verde as recommended, a chili relleno plate, and a carne asada taco. Waitress came right back saying no more chili relleno's so changed that to chicken enchiladas with grilled jalapenos on the side. Other peoples food kept being brought to our table which we refused. When our food was brought the chile verde was a plate not a burrito, grilled onions instead of jalapenos. We got the plate changed to a burrito and went about our business. The food was good, really good flavors, the enchiladas were hot but the rice and beans cold? So I dont know, we'll probable not be back through King City but Im glad we tried it read more

Cute corner spot in down town KC. I ordered the Pambazo. they only give you the option to add carne asada which is what I usually get anyway. But it looked more like ground beef, and it was more bread than anything on it. I didn't know it would have potato's in it, that wasn't stated when I asked what was inside. They have a large menu of authentic Mexican food and service was friendly and prompt.Their menu had large pictures of the items and the food was reasonably priced. Wonderful find on our road trip. Totally worth the mile off the freeway. Fed a family of 7 for $100. Everything was fresh and flavorful. That was a great restaurant. Three of us had carne asada which was way more than any of us could eat. Order the queso which had beans in it but also yummy. Salsa was nice and hot with a good bite. Stopped here for dinner on our way through from Santa Barbara to Pacific Grove. Picked the place due to the 4+ star rating, the $ and a review that mentioned service was fast. The latter 2 descriptions proved to not be true during our visit there. Most of the items on the dinner menu are $12-15. Service was not very fast - we spent over an hour in this place. Food was good, but not worth going a few miles off the 101 for. Glad this town has this place though. Seemed like a favorite for the locals and not too many other options in this town. read more

Best service ever! And of course best MEXICAN food. Real actual mexican food. Comida casera. I use to go to their previous restaurant before. But then they moved and it was not the same so i stopped going. And when i saw that they were opening again at another location I was hooked again. I LOVED the caldo de camarones. It gave a whole new perspective of how its supposed to taste and smell. Their pambaso (a type of torta) is the only torta i ever finish. Its that good. Recommend this place to any one who wants actual mexican food and not just the name on their front door. read more

I think we've found our new go-to local Mexican restaurant! Fresh, hot, flavorful food, bomb homemade zippy salsa, and $3.50 for imported Mexican beer! Camarones al mojo de ajo (garlic shrimp) and pork chili Verde were fantastic and generous portions. Breakfasts looked yummy and is served all day. Huge menu to choose from.
