I'm not used to that but the restroom was at least clean and the staff member waited for me in the hall to escort me to the locker room to change. It's nice that your possessions are locked securely away while you have your services. I had the spa package that included the salt room , massage and a facial. After changing i was escorted to the salt room. I have received salt therapy previously but this experience was new as the room was very very small. The output from the machine was way too strong and i was very uncomfortable. I found myself trying to adjust my positioning to get comfortable. I will say that the masseuse did say that she would have the output adjusted after i mentioned my discomfort with the treatment. The massage and facial were both really just ok. Admittedly finding the perfect massage is a struggle, but with facials, I typically enjoy my experience much more. Again, not bad but just not great. It doesn't appear that really high quality products are used (photo attached). The decor was nice. Some opportunity to repair the parts of the wall where the salt has come off and to also clean up some of the salt debris in other areas of the spa. I probably wouldn't visit again.

I don't like change when it comes to the companies I choose for self-care services. So I decided to take a leap of faith and search Google for nail salon near me, sorting by highest reviews. I am extremely particular about my manicures and pedicures. Everything matters to me from the establishment's sanitary habits, to how they're shaped and filed, to how closely the colors match since I use dipping powder for my nails and regular polish on my toes, and more. I chose Mickey Nail and Spa because they have a 4.7 rating on Google, with almost 400 reviews. That definitely demonstrates consistency IMO. Further research showed this establishment was formerly Zen Nail Spa but it's under new management, and the reviews are still good. Reading through the reviews, the name Julie came up often. Also, on the FB page, most of the photos displayed are of her work so I chose to make my Dipping Powder w/ extensions appointment with her. I was 2 minutes late for my appointment because I couldn't find it on Maps (iOS). Turns out they still list the establishment as Zen Nails Spa but I found it (Mickey) when I switched over to Google Maps. The parking lot is shared with a church but there are designated parking spaces for the nail spa. Those signs also still say Zen Nail Spa. The reception is right there upon entering the establishment. The choice of music is very relaxing and the incense is calming as well. I suffer from year-round allergies and asthma, and the scent did not bother me at all. Mickey greeted me, checked me and, and confirmed my services I told him the person doing m pedicure should not be someone who is too gentle as I like a strong massage, and he suggested Bing. He asked me to have a seat while they got my pedicure seat ready and I was called back a few minutes later. The area is small, with about 5 or 6 spa pedicure chairs. The lights were dimmed, the music was subtle, and the TV was on a Netflix baking show, with low volume. I was offered a water nice seated. I still chose the $60 pedicure which included an additional 20 minute reflexology massage, and added a paraffin wax for $10. Another woman (i think her name was Rita), soaked my current nails to remove the dipping powder while Bing started my pedicure. Both ladies were very polite, as was Mickey. Julie joined me about 15 minuted in, and started on my nails. She helped me choose a color and let me know that while they have a matching dipping powder/Gel/regular polish set, the dipping powder us slightly darker than the gel/regular polish. I was ok with that as that is usually the case, but I am glad she mentioned it as she should have. I told her the shape I wanted and she showed me the first one to ensure it was to my liking which it was. I have a small nail bed so I like my nails narrow and almond with a slightly round tip (not oval but not too pointy). She nailed it (pun intended lol). The total for my nails was $55 which is a great price for soak-off, dipping powder w/ extensions, and paraffin wax. Bing had me nodding off because my pedicure was amazing. She used a timer when commencing the reflexology. The last part of my pedicure before polish was the paraffin wax at which point Bing stepped away and Julie completed my polish. She asked me to stay in the chair with the fan on my toes if I have time, to ensure my toes are completely dry. All-in-all, I had a great experience. I was thanked for my business multiple times by everyone, but especially by Micky and Julie. In addition to being satisfied the services rendered, I was definitely impressed with their customer service. Though the establishment is small, it definitely feels very Zen. The staff is warm and inviting, and the owner is as well. I am so glad I gave them a try and I will be back. I will update future reviews to advise if my positive experience is consistent.

I thought it was just going to be $20 as in the gratuity that was mentioned beforehand but she said it was extra $10 and $10 for the oil. When at the start it was just presented as a choice to us when we first started. She said coconut or lavender and i said to my husband lavender since it's going to smell nicer more soothing. Anyway right after i told her this wasn't explained to us at the start the older lady at the desk started yelling at me, that it was xmas and saying that i wanted things for free. I was like how is this free? It's already $163 and my husband had to get in between us and explained to her that we aren't yelling at her? why yell at us? She told us the oil comes out of her pocket so my husband asked her to make the sign bigger if she's going to get like this about it. She calmed down and started looking down after and i imagine it was a very awkward experience for us both. We paid and when we asked for a receipt she said she couldn't give me one. I asked for a photo of my receipt and honestly I will never be coming back here and i DO NOT recommend this place at all. Also theres a weird sign on the room saying that that place is not a sexual massage place and that really threw us off because that was not what we were expecting at all to see before getting told to take our belongings.

Sonja was soooo knowledgeable about the human body and how all of our muscle groups are connected. She was very intuitive and knew EXACTLY where my problem areas and sweet spots were. I endured the pain of the deep tissue digs because I knew I needed it. She was so thorough and dedicated to make my massage worth it - it was customized and personalized to my problem areas and issues. I have never had another Massage Envy therapist do that - they usually don't listen and all the massages are exactly the same and not personalized at all.... Not to mention, Sonja's bedside manner was awesome. She is super chill and made me feel so comfortable from the second I walked in to when I left. She communicated with me during the massage to make sure I was comfortable and getting what I wanted. She even helped me make sense of my sciatic nerve pain by introducing me to a muscle syndrome I might have. She also informed me of the curvature of my spine and how it can affect tightness, pain, stiffness, etc. in my body. I felt so taken care of.
