I am the mother of six children ages 3-18. I have taken my younger 4 children to Dr. Thomas since they opened up in Lynnwood and he has been absolutely AMAZING! Our family is no stranger to the dental industry. Their dad (my ex husband) has been employed in the field for over 15 years, so I know a great doctor when I meet one. Dr. Thomas is not only a great doctor, but an amazingly gentle and patient doctor. My children absolutely adore him. When have you ever had a 3 year old BEG to go to the dentist? That's how fantastic Dr. Thomas is. My 3 year old daughter literally begs to go see him. This is truly amazing to me because she's incredibly shy, but yet she allows Dr. Thomas to do just about anything to her teeth. Just today she had some fillings done. (This is because she was previously addicted to sippy cups with juice & Kool-Aid, but Dr. Thomas fixed that problem too!) It was completely pain free! He used only nitrous (no need for shots!) and he did the work personally on her teeth in lightening speed. She wasn't afraid at all. Afterwards she asked when she gets to come back and was sad when I told her it wouldn't be for at least another 6 months as she doesn't need to come back. What's also amazing is that after just one conversation with Dr. Thomas, my 3 year old has given up candy as it causes "sugar bumps" on her teeth, and has gone to mostly water and milk in her sippy cups rather than asking for juice, Kool-Aid or soda pop. As a matter of fact, I was trying to give her variety and gave her lemonade in her sippy cup and she promptly gave it back to me saying, "Dr. Thomas said I need to drink water, not juice so I don't get owies on my teeth!" I am seriously thrilled that he's changed my children's thinking about oral hygiene. Actually the entire staff is just simply amazing. Everyone with whom we've come into contact with on his staff have been just as extremely friendly and patient with us as Dr. Thomas is. The office is always immaculate. There are quality toys in the waiting room, however we've never really been able to utilize them as we've never had to wait for our appointment. They've always been ready for us, ON TIME, when we arrive. This is a huge difference from our previous dentist. The office also has a tabletop arcade style video game for the older kids. After their visits, not only do they get a toothbrush goodie bag after a cleaning, they also get a token to go choose a prize from a vending machine as a reward. I would HIGHLY recommend this dentist to anyone who wants an excellent, kind, patient, and quality dentist for their children. I wish he accepted adults as patients! read more

I've been remiss not writing this sooner. I have ALWAYS loved taking my two boys to see Dr. Thomas and his awesome, sweet and consistent team of support. First, as an interior designer, I'm thrilled with the creative detail that was spent to make my kids feel like they have walked into a special placed designed directly for THEM. I wish MY dentist designed his office like Dr. Thomas! But beyond the space, I was taken in by Ricky, the staff and Dr. Thomas's immediate welcoming that we received 6 yrs ago when my youngest Chase was just over 2, and Connor was 6. I knew right away that Dr. Thomas and I shared many of the same values and basic health practices. I've always appreciated him for being slow and patient with the potential treatments that he could be doing. I've never felt as if he's rushing to do unnecessary care. Today I had the most unexpected visit ever. A month ago at our regular check up my 8yr old showed a few cavities. Not wanting to push Chase to the edge in treatment, they scheduled two filling appts. The first one was today. While in conversation with another mom in the waiting room, I mentioned that my husband had been laid off just days before and we would have dental insurance only until tomorrow - the end of the month. By the time Chase was all done and we were at the counter to pay the client portion of the bill, the team had ALREADY (unbeknownst to me) made arrangements with DR. Thomas to not charge us when we visited again to 2 weeks for the previously schedule "part 2" appt! Our visit and cavity treatment would BE FREE!! I was so confused when Dr. Thomas told me what the staff had done, I had to ask him to repeat it more than once. See, Dr. Thomas doesn't want me to wait to get Chase's next cavity filled. As a self-employed woman, we count on my husbands job to insure our health care. He's not willing to let Chase's cavity go, and get worse, in the case that my husband doesn't get a new job right away. He's choosing my child's dental health over his profit. I'm that person that bought you your latte that one time you were in the drive thru line at Starbucks, or your taco at Jack In the Box... I do that. I love it. My children have been seeing both Dr. Thomas for the past few years and recently started seeing Dr. Raklios. My children were not big fans of going to the dentists and my eldest is HIGHLY sensitive. We had a challenging time getting my eldest to do any of her dental work, however both dentists and the entire team very gently and patiently made both my kids comfortable and helped us get some very significant dental work completed. They demonstrated a high level of experience and techniques that enabled my children and I to build a relationship built on trust. In my opinion, this dental team looks at the child as an individual, listens to them,understand their fears, makes them comfortable and explains each step in a child- friendly and calming manner. Now,my eldest will go right in for cleanings and looks forward to her dental visits as she gets to watch a movie and get a little prize.However, most importantly because she trusts the team. Recently , she had to get a few fillings. I was extremely nervous as I worried how she would handle getting a needle. Dr. Raklios did an amazing job with the team of caring assistants Kasey ( Restorative Hygienist) and Jennifer ( Dental Assistant). On the scheduled appointment they calmly walked her through every step.The team truly demonstrated a high level of professionalism and experience as she eventually went back for a second filling and they were able to get the work done. In my opinion,Dr. Thomas and Dr. Raklios are very patient and compassionate dentists, not only with children , but with anxious parents.They take the time to listen to both parent and child and understand the child's individual needs in order to make the experience easier on everyone. As a parent ,they listened to my concerns and eased my worries and I appreciate that greatly. The scheduling team is also amazing. It is very easy to make an appointments. Thank You Everyone by One for being so wonderful today to our family - We arrived at 10.30 am, even though our appointment was 7.30am...(.a misunderstanding )- they still managed to see all 3 of my children, have x-rays and cleanings done....One got a clean bill of health -my other two though needed to have cavities filled.... Dr Thomas and his staff managed to see them and do the work today. I so appreciated this as I am so anxious about dentists - everyone was kind and knew what they were doing. They work efficiently and effectively and are always very kind to the children they see. Its not very easy to get children to lie down, open their mouths and let their teeth be worked on - however being able to observe the work being done and being kept informed on how things were going made me feel very reassured. When the work was completed my children waited in the waiting room and watched the film on the TV, just till the numbness wore off a little. Dr Thomas came to check on them both and see they were ok. Even thought they were extremely busy, the staff still made time to answer all questions and we never felt rushed. I am glad you can find out what you have to pay before work is completed, I can find out what the insurance covers and what I owe. I completely trust Dr Thomas and his staff with my childrens teeth, they do a professional job and yes the bill is always hard to deal with, I would pay it a thousand times as I only wish this same set up was available when I was a child, I would never have the complete fear and anxiety I have now and never wish for my children to have the same. Somehow I figure not as they were only too happy to go this morning to get a brand new toothbrush - infact my daughter decided to dress up for the occasion. I found Dr Thomas over the internet (via his web site) approx 2 yrs ago (wow, how time flies). My daughter (and our entire family) cannot be happier with Dr Thomas and his entire staff. He is the BEST...and this is why: When we first took our daughter to Dr Thomas she had A LOT of cavities...so much that she had to go under general anesthesia. eek! I was crying non-stop in the lobby while he was working on her (I was so scared and mad at myself). Someone up at the front desk must have told Dr Thomas how upset I was, that he (yes, the Dr) came into the lobby to talk to me. He said in such a kind and caring way that our daughter was doing just fine and that she was going to be ok (and she was, just like he said she would be!). By Dr Thomas taking the time to talk to me, made me feel so much better and just reassured me that there was no better place for our daughter to be then in his hands. I still to this day, 2 yrs later, cannot believe a Dr took the time to comfort me, to talk me, to make sure I was ok. It is so wonderful to know that there are Doctors out there that truly CARE for and about their patients and their families! We have seen Dr. Thomas every 6 months since that day. My daughter, who is almost 5, LOVES going to the dentist (only wish I was so lucky!). Dr Thomas and his staff are so great with our daughter...every time we step foot into his office we are greeted with smiles! Dr. Thomas is the kindest hearted and knowledgeable dentist you will ever find for your child. He is simply the BEST pediatric dentist in the area. I also want to note that Dr. Thomas is big on education and prevention and his advice is always very thorough and well researched. I would highly recommend Dr. Thomas to anyone with children in Western Washington! If I could give him 10 million stars on this rating I would in a second!!! read more

We have four children, and the health of each of them is important to us. Our daughter, has Down Syndrome, and the health of her teeth is going to be very important for her overall health over her lifetime. We were referred to Everyone by One this spring, when we were looking for a new dentist for our children. Our experience at our old one, was okay, but they were telling us that our daughter with DS had multiple fillings that needed to be filled. I had been dragging my feet on getting them filled, because we simply didn't have the money for the out of pocket costs. When we walked in for our first appointment at Everyone by One, each person that we came in contact to was kind, friendly, and courteous to myself and each of my children. They treated them with respect , and filled me in each step of the way. Our daughter with Down Syndrome, did not of cavities, but rather bacteria and staining that had to be cleaned up. Everyone by One saved us several hundred dollars and I was grateful for my hesitancy for getting these "cavities" filled, because they weren't actually cavities. Our three older children returned for sealants and tooth extraction today and it was an excellent experience. My daughter who needed her teeth extracted is our child who freaks out easily, but she came out of her appointment all smiles and feeling great. Our son and daughter who got their sealants did excellent and enjoyed their experience. Our daughter with DS was doing so well, Everyone by One, did a little bit of extra work for free, added sealants and cleaned up some teeth in order for her to have better dental health, since she is more likely going to have issues with gum disease. I am so grateful that we've found Everyone by One. They are an amazing staff and I trust each one of the employees with the health of our kiddos. read more

My son has really bad anxiety so it was important to me that he go to a dentist that would be patient and make him feel at ease. He had to get 8 teeth pulled out--thats traumatic enough for any kid but he was really worried. The entire staff worked together seamlessly and made it such a good experience for my son. He got too scared part way through the first proceedure, so Dr. Thomas split it up into two different sessions so as not to stress him out too much. it didn't cost us anymore to do this. Dr Thomas really didn't want my son to have bad associations with the dentist--this was paramount to him. They worked hard to make sure he was physically as well as emotionally comfortble, and Dr. Thomas has the ability to make kids really feel at ease and he creates a trust from the start. After the proceedure, they took such good care of him and later that night he personally called to make sure that my son was doing alright. I am so glad I found him and NW Pediatric Dentistry. As far as the negative post that is on there, I don't think he is talking about the right dentist. Nothing about what he wrote was what I experieinced at my visits--my dental insurance covered everything, he didn't recommend anything that hadn't been already recommended by our orthodontist, the staff works together better than synchronized swim team, i recieved phone calls as well as emails and a follow up calls after treatment, and finally, I had two claims pending with the insurance and it wasn't even brought up as an issue when we got this round of teeth out. read more

We used to commute down to Bellevue just so my children could have Dr. Thomas. His office in Bellevue is CLEAN, very careful with allergies and has all the best items to keep the children entertained. It is completely geared for children but all with positive aspect of the importance of dentistry. When we were down there my children saw the soda bottles with sugar and to this day have never ever had a sip of soda (truly!). We were so excited that he now has an office opened in LYNNWOOD and completely over the moon. He has fantastic technicians and he has such a wonderful bed-side manner for the kids. I have two kids who love brushing their teeth, floss, love having no cavities and all b/c Dr. Thomas and his staff! My kids always feel like rock-stars after leaving with their "A" report cards, bag of goodies and being able to play on the video games. On a side-note, with kids with allergies and just in general I am super sensitive to food choices/medicines/drugs etc. It is wonderful to have a dentist who doesn't push things. If he sees just the beginnings of maybe some decay on a tooth but sees another tooth coming up he says lets hold off. There are plenty of dentist who slam orthodontia or fillings in your face and love his gentle and more lets wait and see approach since children do grow and so does their mouth. If you want your children to love the dentist and you want a dentist who truly cares about your kids -- Dr. Thomas and his staff are the ones to see!!! read more

If you have children with past history of trauma, THIS is the place to go to! I thank God for landing this place! I have two foster children who have a traumatic past and they cringed in corners and cry and shriek when going to a salon, doctors, etc. Seeing the other kids in this place and not having a corner to cringe in helped them as well as the attuned staff that recognized their fear and calmly calmed them down. My kids left there wanting to come back!! One child needed a procedure done under general anesthesia. I feared he would come out of the general anesthesia like a former foster child we had that [unfortunately] went to Children's Dental Care in Kent. That Kent clinic said it was "normal" and a sign of "health" when our foster child comes out kicking and screaming from general anesthesia as all the kids [there] do and it is expected. We expected the same at Everyone By One. Boy were we pleasantly surprised. Our foster son came out of anesthesia like a little baby, whispering, tired, but very soft spoken, like himself when he just wakes up not like the little monster our former foster child [never was] when she came out from her procedure at the Kent clinic. Furthermore, EBO saw that our foster son had another health issue that needed a referral to a physician and it's going to help him with his sleep! We are SOOO blessed to find EBO. Hygienist approved! I'm a dental hygienist and I brought my daughters ages 6 and 1 1/2 to Everyone By One to have their teeth cleaned and examined. I didn't tell the staff that I was a hygienist. I wanted to let them work with my girls in their own style. They were awesome! Lauren was the assistant that cleaned my daughters' teeth and she was not only great with my kids but also very knowledgeable and educated me throughout the appointment. Dr Thomas was excellent! He was able to clean and examine my toddlers teeth while she lay right across my lap. Not a single tear shed! I love what Dr Thomas is doing; educating parents and children about the importance of oral health! The "Everyone By One" dental exam should be a household phrase just the way the child's "Well Baby" exam is. Early access to care and oral health education can do the same for dental decay as immunizations have done for diseases like Polio! Thank you Dr. Thomas! I get it! I hope everyone else does too! Also, I recently moved back to Seattle after practicing dental hygiene for four years in Utah, where they don't fluoridate their water supply, and I can attest that the decay rates in areas without fluoride are outrageous compared to places like the Seattle area. Please please please use fluoride! Used safely, fluoride is an essential tool for keeping teeth healthy and strong! read more

Our experience is matched to what most of the other viewers said. We are very surprise to see someone share very different voices. That's not what we see or experienced. Before we met Dr. Thomas, we had a very horrible experience with a Dr whose office is near by Dr. Thomas. We never met a Dr who refused for any good communication and not care about how patients or patients' parents felt. Then blamed their own mistake on patients and the parents and even wrote a very nasty letter to patients' parents. And just wanted to charge super high for unknown dental work. After shared this horrible experience with some friends and families we know, they highly recommended Dr. Thomas. We called and emailed to ask some good advice before our 1st visit. Dr and his staff were very patient to listen our concerns and spent times to explain the details well before any dental work. Then they offered a free tour and it was a great experience. Certainly we made our 1st appointment right after the tour for both kids. It has been four years now and both kids still love Dr. Thomas a lot. Awesome pediatric dentist. My 3 year old daughter is super shy and clingy - to say she fears dentists or doctor visits would be an understatement. In an attempt to encourage independence and confidence I decided to see if she would go back for her cleaning and check up without me- I thought there was almost no chance of it but decided to trust the hygienist and see if she could talk her into it. To my great surprise the hygienists friendly and encouraging manner lead to my daughter letting go of my leg (which she was clinging to for dear life) and she walked back into the cleaning area without me. I waited in the waiting room to see if I would hear crying or screams for mommy- but nothing. After a little while the hygienist came to get me and I went back to learn she had done a great job and went through the whole cleaning with no problems. It blew my mind! I'm convinced that my daughter did better without me there and she was so proud of herself for 'acting like such a big girl!' She got her little prize at the end and the whole experience was wonderful. I was very impressed! read more

Dr. Thomas is MAGIC as far as me and my 4 & 6 year olds are concerned. Two extractions simply wiggled out without a tear shed.. Two restorations on my four year old (fillings) with assistance from his fabulous team also managed to come away without a tear - and without a fear of the dentist office...getting to watch movies is an added bonus for my girls. When we pulled in to the parking lot for our regular cleanings both girls were excited because they knew they would get to pick a toy at the end of their appointments. After care instructions were detailed and genuinely caring. Love the staff...Ricky at the front desk is great about explaining charges and explaining insurance. Every staff member I've encountered has been friendly and wonderful with children. I think the office policy -- actually I don't even know if its a policy but a recommendation anyway to have the parent wait in the waiting room is brilliant -- there is no way my little one would have been so brave with a worried momma looking over her. I have 3 kids, a six year old, and toddler 2 year olds... all with their own little personalities and little attitudes :-) Dr. Thomas and his staff were wonderful at adjusting to each one of them, making it an enjoyable experience every time we visit. As soon as you walk into his offices you know it's kid heaven, even if it s a dentist office. Super clean, kid-friendly staff, awesome toys, cartoons while seated in the dentist chair, and even a gumball style dispenser for a treat at the end of the visit...oh, and of course super cute array of toothbrushes for kids to choose from to take home. We've been there several times, and once even for my 6 year old to have 4 teeth pulled!! She came out beaming, holding on to a plastic tooth shaped box containing her treasures for the tooth fairy. Other then the bloody gauze in her mouth, there were no other hints at the recent events. She was even asking to go back to have a fifth tooth pulled when it got a little wiggly. I originally took my 3 year old to see my dentist for his first appointment. He thought it was fun with the cool sun glasses and he got to pick a toy from some boxes on the ground. At the appointment my dentist said my son had 1 -2 cavities and would need to see a Pediatric Dentist - I found Dr Thomas's reviews and went for it. I am so amazed at the difference!!! Everyone should take their kids to people that specialize in their age - he LOVES the dentist office and wants to go. He ended up actually having a condition where the enamel on his teeth didn't form. He required 4 crowns and a few minor cavities since there was nothing protecting his teeth. He had to be put out for the procedure, but he was pain free and happy by the time the med wore off and he still has no clue that he has metal in his mouth! At least once a week he asks if he gets to go see the dentist... I think the toys in the cool machines that he get's to pick are what he really wants - but hey I'll take that! read more

Kindness above all else... I never write reviews, I just don't. I am very easy going, it takes a lot to upset me, but it also takes a lot to really impress me. I have been bringing my three children to Everyone By One for several years with very good experiences each time. But today, it was simply remarkable. My youngest child has special needs, and everything is hard for him. Dental visits are perhaps the hardest. I know it can be challenging for the staff, and I keep waiting to be told that it might be best to schedule elsewhere. Today was one of those days, very challenging on many levels. And the Everyone by One staff was simply amazing. They treated my son with compassion and kindness, and they did an amazing job. On this day before Thanksgiving, I want to thank the team at Everyone by One for giving us such wonderful care. You are simply an amazing group of people. You should be so proud of the culture you have created at your clinic. There is no star level for that. read more

Great experience from start to finish. My 3 year old broke her tooth. I called the Bellevue office and they were able to squeeze her in to be seen right away, and able to have her tooth removed shortly after. The entire team at Everyone By One is amazing. The front desk scheduling was very organized and so nice about looking up our insurance when I didn't have the card with me. The dental assistants went above and beyond with my daughter ensuring she felt safe and had the best possible experience, as well as taking the time to explain her after care with me. I was kept fully informed on the progress every step of the way. What could have very easily turned out to be a traumatic experience for my daughter turned into a great one. She has told me multiple times this evening that she can't wait to go back to the dentist! I am so impressed with how Everyone By One was able to handle our emergency situation. read more

We're going to the Bellevue office for our 3 and 6 years old and our 6 years old daughter had to have teeth removed three times over the past year. Every time it was a perfect experience. We used to have our daughter crying and yelling before even being in the dentist office, and being really stressed several days before, this is completely over now since we're going here. Everybody is super professional and friendly, very careful with the kids, the environment is really nice and everything has been made to offer the kids a nice experience with no fear and no pain. We always had the possibility to stay with our kid during the intervention and the doctor always took the time to clearly explain what he was going to do before and give clear advise as far as what the next steps should be and why. Really a great place for the kids and for the parents as well to feel the kids are in safe hands. read more

I disagree with the bad review the discruntled yelper gave. I have 4 kids that are terrified of the dentist because they thought he was the "doctor" Once we got there, his staff was super kid friendly and top notc. They showed my kids EVERYTHING they were going to do before they actually started anything. His staff was very patient and extremely kid friendly. My kids left the first day to the dentist ready to come back. We had spoke about sealants during the visit because I really couldn't afford it at the moment. Dr. Thomas gave me a great deal. You say he's expensive and money hungry. I disagree 100%. He isn't interested in taking anyone's money...he's interested in helping people out that are in need. The best dentist I have EVER been to. My kids love him and that's important to me. I am going to keep recommending him to everyone that has a child. =) Good work Dr. Thomas!!! read more
