She is kind, gentle, knowledgeable, and you can tell she is just a really good person through and through. We were cash paying patients since we did not sign up our daughter for dental insurance during open enrollment. Oops. Dr. Jun worked with us and was incredibly generous, and we are very grateful to have found her. Everyone we worked with including the dental assistants, Melanie at the front desk, and Dr. P (the anesthesiologist) were just all so wonderful. So caring, and again, just all good people. During my child's checkup, the assistant paused every 30 seconds to chat and laugh with her coworkers (who did not have patients). Something that should have taken less than 3 minutes ended up taking over 5. It is extremely hard to schedule with them, since they seem to work only when my daughters are in school. They also don't work on Fridays, their last appointment is a round 2:30 (which is BEFORE school ends) and take a break during their winter vacation. It seems any appointment we schedule forces my children to miss school. Finally, they don't seem to put in a lot of care or effort. One of my daughters appointments was only about 15 minutes. This is very short for a regular dentist checkup. Also, the assistant flossed very roughly and almost broke my daughters retainer (she has a permanent metal wire on her upper and lower teeth). My daughter later told me they didn't even know she had a retainer. Needless to say, we won't be coming back.

From info on their website it seems that most of the office staff are mothers. At a visit about a year ago, I thought she was rough with my daughter, but my daughter was crying and struggling to participate, so I looked past it. At our September 29 appointment, my daughter was cooperating and following instructions. While cleaning her teeth, Dr. Vu kept shaking her head in what looked like disappointment, and I could not understand why. When my daughter occasionally said "ow" or made a sound of discomfort, Dr. Vu told her she was okay and that it didn't hurt. After the water was turned off, Dr. Vu repeatedly wiped my daughter's mouth with what I observed to be excessive force. It appeared deliberate to me. I was concerned enough to step in and ask her to stop. My daughter then chose to have another staff member apply the fluoride. That staff member was very gentle. After Dr. Vu left, I asked whether she had also thought Dr. Vu was rough. She appeared shocked, agreed that Dr. Vu had been rough, and apologized. Her response confirmed that I wasn't making up or imagining what I saw. Dr. Vu previously performed crowns on both my children while I was not in the room. I don't know what happened during those procedures, but what I witnessed at this visit has made me uncomfortable bringing them back.
