Search is over! I finally found a solid place where they actually come your way to pick up your…read morejunk. The name PRESTIGE says a lot about their character and they are located in Granada Hills. After asking around and doing a Google and Yelp search, I kind of gave up hope. Never give up hope. A lot of the places were located all the way in the boonies and were very far from where I live. Couldn't drive all the way to those far places with my old car. I was talking to a friend of mine about this issue, and she referred me to this place and told me that they do a great job. So I took her word for it and made a phone call last week and talked to a guy by the name of Robert. I don't know if he is the owner or one of their employees. We made an appointment and they came and picked up my stuff within 2 days after my phone call. That's some fast and quick service. I gathered all my stuff together, and some things had never even been used. Maybe once or twice. Sitting there, collecting dust. I had an old Boom Box and its remote control, two small Sony speakers, an old JVC VHS player that came with its own remote control and also had a cassette player. An electric pencil sharpener, and an old printer, that was no longer working properly. One of the things that I liked about Robert was that he was very patient, kind, and explained to me all the details step by step, one by one. They also pick up recycled bottles, cans, cartons, & paper. I had a whole bag of it. Of course, our apartment building has a large dumpster for us to recycle. I am all about keeping the environment clean. They were very professional and one of the guys accidentally dropped few of the pieces on my carpet and apologized right away. Every item has it's own price. For all that, they gave me $115.00 that also included 10% of the space that your belongings take in their truck. Two guys came, I think one's name was Nelson, and can't remember the other guy's name. Even their big, long truck was clean and arrived on time. Exactly at 11am. They accept credit cards and cash. Also gave me a receipt. They accept the following items, which are: electronic devices, furniture, waste, home appliances, houseware stuff (mattress), garbage, along with landscaping/for landfill. The rest I have already mentioned in my review. I mean those guys do it all and were super careful not to damage any part of your property. Inside or outside of the building. Two thumbs up and I will definitely use them if and when I need to recycle more stuff. Highly recommend them to everyone--in their time of need! Thank you all very much.

FIrst of all, I have no idea how Yelp! chooses to list businesses from #1 on down. Why Heavy…read moreHauling Junk Removal Service is on "Page 2" with 140+ 5-Star reviews is baffling to me. I posted a request for quotes and Henry was the first to respond (of only 4 from the entire list -- I guess all the others don't need the work or don't want to work). Not only was he first to respond, but he was the only one to offer pricing up-front. Others have said the same, too. We're preparing for an estate sale and eventual sale of my wife's mother's home . . . after more than 55 years of living there, and Henry and his helper were able to clear out an entire garage-full of accumulated stuff at the property. We still have loads of stuff inside the house to deal with -- some of it to be sold, some of it to be donated, and likely some of it still to be trashed -- but now that the garage is essentially empty, we have "breathing room" to begin staging stuff outside the living areas. Henry let me know early in the day that our scheduled time needed to be pushed back a couple of hours, which was appreciated and not a problem. He showed up at the promised time and completed the job -- a full trailer load of stuff -- in about 90 minutes . . . absolutely amazing! And they swept the garage and blew out the remaining dust, which was more than expected. I highly recommend Heavy Hauling and hope Yelp! reevaluates their ranking process and bumps this business to the first page, and near the top (I hope the "Top 10" rankings aren't simply "purchased" . . . that would certainly diminish my trust in Yelp!).

I posted the project on Yelp and quickly received responses from Hustle Hard Movers and another company. Hustle Hard Movers responded promptly with a clear, flat rate of $175. In contrast, the competitor initially quoted $165 but later increased it to $275 after claiming they misunderstood the type of sofa. They also emphasized their insurance and worker's comp coverage in a way that felt more like setting expectations for potential issues than providing reassurance. From the start, Hustle Hard Movers took a different approach. They were confident, straightforward, and explained that they've handled many similar sofas and could easily disassemble it for removal. Their confidence immediately put me at ease. Michael and his associate arrived about 30 minutes after the scheduled time, but once they got started, they worked incredibly efficiently. They quickly removed the top section of the sofa and had everything out within 15 minutes. It was honestly impressive how easy they made it look. I even commented that they made light work of something I expected to be a major hassle. Because of their speed and professionalism, I happily gave them a $25 tip, considering their competitor tried charging $275 Overall, I highly recommend Michael and Hustle Hard Moving and Junk removal. They were efficient, experienced, and easy to work with. I would definitely use them again for future moving or junk removal needs.
