BREACH OF CONTRACT On Nov 30, 2019 We hired Nick Billman…read morethrough Home Depot to install a 500 sf Trex deck in our back yard. While waiting for the Trex to arrive, he was to construct the wood framing. Getting him to show up to begin the project took numerous texts which mostly went unanswered. Finally he and helper showed up around mid December and managed to get framing partially done, leaving posts sticking up, base unfinished, and bags of cement all over the yard, which have since hardened and are lying out there, ruined. Not once did he actually show up when he said he would. When we asked him to please pick a day to work and stick to it, his response was that of an offended person, taking umbrage that we would dare question his non appearances. When Trex arrived, he would not pick it up for many days after, and when he did, did not inspect it. When he unloaded all of it, he realized pieces were damaged. This took another ten days which we understood and accepted. However, when replacement pieces arrived, he waited another two weeks to pick up, resulting in the pieces being buried in Home Depot's warehouse. When he finally got there to pick up the pieces , he waited approx a half hour before storming out of the store without the pieces. Since then, he has refused to come finish the framing, take away all his debris, bring all the merchandise we already paid for to complete the job, or give any explanation for his inability to complete this job. When he has responded over the last two months, it was always an excuse-- his kids are sick, his wife is sick, he is sick, it's raining, there's a family emergency. We went to Home Depot yesterday to request manager call him and get him to finish the job. We explained we don't want to go to court and if he would just show up and finish this three day job, everything would be great. Well finally we get a text from Nick stating that since we threatened to sue, he is quitting the job!!!!!! What a piece of work. Now we have to seek help from Home Depot, and, most likely, our attorney. What a disaster. We regret ever meeting Nick and if he hadn't changed his business name, we would have seen his negative reviews before hiring him. RUN FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS INCOMPETENT SLACKER / SHYSTER
