Upgrades I would have paid for were STANDARD with my 3,740 sq ft home and below my projected budget. From the Sales Representative Wayne Richart, Project Managers Jamie, Matt and Hank to my Realtor Sean Conway to all those at the Design Center, along with Home Pro, I received service beyond my expectations. We closed April 29, 2021 and I could not be more pleased with my decision to build a Perry Home --Thank you The Warrens

Houses are just built way too close together, and you're paying so much for a tiny plot. Not to mention the HOA fees are out the arse with 0 amenities, not even a community pool or a playground. The windows in the houses don't even open, so you can't even circulate fresh air properly through the house without the entire population of Texas bugs getting inside. The windows inner front rooms are way too large, it's hard to find curtains that block out the ungodly amount of light in the mornings, and you certainly can't get curtains for the windows ABOVE the windows in the bedroom. Its all looks, no practicality. It's a shit house for half a million dollars. It's a massive scam, and I could take the half mil to build my own house, without the HOA bullshit and with better privacy. Here the houses are about as close as a human wingspan. Anyone who chooses to buy these houses has got to have lost their minds. Good thing I'm only living here and I'm moving out! So have 5 other households I've noticed.‍

Last year around 14 months living…read morein the new home and rain season happening I placed a work order in for a roof repair which is causing a leak from the second floor to the bottom floor master bathroom. When i say leak it it more of a stream anytime it rains and it comes pouring down the bathroom vent. It has flooded our bathroom floor several times. We have been contacting warranty and customer care to help solve this issue but being hit with "out of year warranty". This year with the heavy rain our ceiling is trashed and we have had several roof inspectors sharing how this is a building error or a way they cut edges. Not proper vent installation, not proper calking of areas, possible cheap materials use to get the work done. For a brand new home less than two years in to have roofing issues and major leaking or lack of proper installation of a roof is unacceptable and unbelievable to me. I would suggest not using this builder has they don't look out for the homebuyers and selling new homes with major issues.

Water is coming through the walls when it rains. The doors, toilets, closet materials, even the sheetrock and paint -- all subpar. The quality just isn't there. I saved for years to make a solid down payment, believing I was investing in a well-built home for my family. What I got instead was cheap materials, sloppy craftsmanship, and a builder who washes their hands of responsibility the moment your 1-year warranty ends. And here's the kicker: Brightland doesn't allow reviews on their Facebook page. That should tell you something. I'm sharing this to save other families time, money, and heartache. Before you sign anything, look at other builders. You deserve better. #HomebuyerBeware #BrightlandHomes #TexasHomeowners #PoorConstruction #HomeBuildingTruth #DoYourResearch

They are very communicative and promise everything up until your deposit is placed. And then communication falls apart, and at this point I can't count how many deadlines have been missed. And forget about trying to get ahold of anyone for an update. We wish we had gone with Perry Homes! Edit: Delayed another month. Wish they were able to arrange for materials on time. We had the option of building a home with Perry last year, right in front of a beautiful park. We passed on the lot because they were honest about time frames, u like Scott Felder who projected an unrealistic closing date. I've spoken to another person who went with Scott felder two years ago and they were already having delay issues, and took over double their initial projected build time. The fact that they knew that there were already delays, and told me unrealistic dates, is insane. Meanwhile the home is sitting exposed to the elements, it's clearly falling apart. And again, I'm hearing of a lot of warranty issues occurring with Scott felder homes. I haven't even updated my wife yet about the new delays I'm afraid she'll kill me for choosing Scott felder. I'm officially looking for a new home. Thanks Scott.

(These pictures only include the front 2 rooms and half bath.) Most of these things were caught and pointed out prior to closing - they promised they would fix them after closing. I agreed since we were already 8 months past our closing date and I couldn't afford to keep living in Air BNBs. They have sent multiple people out to look at these issues - Each time they act very concerned and say they will fix the issues ASAP. Still waiting...
