Too bad the transition to re-brand iTAN to EverSun doesn't seem to be working or semi-flawless because the hours are completely wrong online and also physically posted in the door. (And have been for months w/ zero customer communication). Even when you call they don't answer. And when I do call or mention the hours, the employees say oh yeah it's been taking a long time to change Google. That's interesting because if anybody has ever updated Google business hours, it does not take 3 to 5 months. It is ridiculous to be a long-time loyal customer & pay so much. Now I'm cancelling going to drive somewhere else that is reliable. Also, never said anything about the equipment breaking down often because I was chill about that & liked the girls who worked there. This is by far the worst Itan location- and of course the closest to my home. I went in a few days ago and while I was tanning I noticed a HUGE piece of the top protective plexi glass encaved into the bulbs and broken. I did tell someone as I was leaving but not theu don't have a level 3 bed to use. they never change their bulbs and it's always a disappointing result when I visit there. A waste of time. In result I went to the genessee location the next day and the bed was still dirty. multiple places on the top portion clearly had lotion all over it and it was visible. Yuck. Makes you wonder how well the beds get cleaned. I'm so disappointe. The prices keep going up and the hours of operation go down an hour or two for close. It's ridiculous!!! read more

I have been going to iTAN for spray tans for special events for the last 5 years, and in that 5 years no one has stood out as much as Molly has! PSA: I moved out of PB in May of 2025 and I CANCELLED my membership via email and phone call - I have been charged $38.45 & $$13.95 every month & every few weeks and it was just brought to my attention after I have tried to repeatedly cancel this membership that my card information has been entered "card number entered by customer/merchant" (I HAVE NOT LIVED IN PB BY AN ITAN LOCATION FOR 7 MONTHS). I have called and tried to cancel this for months now and today they told me on the phone there is "no corporate number to transfer you too" Attached is screenshots of them charging my acct - legal action will be taken and is already in the works because, im so sorry? I am a long time customer and have been coming to this location for years. I get the same thing every time so pretty familiar with the sprays. I went in for a spray and the entire floor of the machine was dirty and brown from the previous spray. I know that the floors aren't deep cleaned in between guest but it was so wet with tanner. I grabbed a baby wipe and cleaned the floor myself. The baby whip was completely covered in tanner. When I finished my spray I told the girls at the front desk that the floor was really dirty and they were like "there's a lot of sprays today it's always going to be like that". I explained how that's never happened before and the other girl responded super sassy that next time she will clean it better?. I just wanted to give them a heads up because my feet were completely stained with tanner when I left the tan. So disappointed after loving this place for years. read more

I came in here about a month ago looking to sign up for a membership, and was so caught off guard by the overall negative demeanor and rudeness of the blonde associate behind the counter that I decided to hold off. Having worked in and managed a tanning salon in my home state I was absolutely appalled, but I decided to give it a try again today, and was so happy that I did! A different girl was working, that doesn't normally work at this location, and she was wonderful! Gave me a tour, told me about what they offer, and was helpful every step of the way through the process! I have been hesitant on spray tans for a while. I was using a skin topical medication that dried out my skin very bad, so my legs are tanner in some places than others. I was very nervous going into summer given the pale patches in some areas of my body. Right when I arrived, the staff member Cassie, made me feel super comfortable and welcome. She was very energetic when greeting me, and I could tell she knew what she was doing. This gave me comfort almost instantly. Cassie set up my spray tan with the Versa machine even minutes before closing, and she was friendly and talkative when talking me through the options. I highly recommend this location specifically. Not only did Cassie have me confident walking out, but she provided me with something difficult-- trust in the product. Definitely recommend asking for her if it's your first time! read more

My experience with iTan is both in La Jolla, where I signed up for the spa membership, and PB, where I have been a daily visitor ever since. Both locations are staffed by the loveliest, sweetest, and MOST helpful young women, who deserve to be acknowledged for their impeccable customer service! I'm new to iTan and opted for the spa package in order to use the body wrap, photo facial, and hydrotherapy services along with tanning. Each one of these services requires figuring out the technology, and I have had a million questions. Every single time, the staff are patient and thorough no matter how busy. My first time in the body wrap, I couldn't get the DVD player working and really wanted to veg out to a movie. Brianna and her coworker (I wish I knew her name!) were absolute sweethearts, doing everything to try and fix the issue. Each and every time I'm there, everyone is pleasant, competent, and thorough. In general, the spa package is a very cool offering and well worth the cost, as it's just $10 more than the unlimited tanning. The space is very clean and hardly ever crowded, so I always get in when I show up or make an appointment. I have visited El Cajon as well, and the same is true for this location. Itan is a highly recommended and much appreciate local service that is a great way to practice self care during stressful times. Definitely worth trying out with one of their promotions, which make it extremely affordable. read more

I have attended multiple locations, purchased products and tried out their Spa and Sun services. The staff has mostly been very friendly, knowledgeable and willing to guide me through using all of the services and purchasing products. The only reason that this is not a five star review is the consistency in their product promotions at each location. On Fri., I purchased two packages of lotion at their full price in PB. On Sat., I went to the Clairemont location and found that their lotion packets were Buy One Get One Free so that was a bummer. Their monthly packages don't look too shabby and the pay as you go prices are reasonable. I am heavily considering a membership! Try them out ASAP! read more

Lovely facility, training is lacking though. I just left after using a bed and decided to get out a few min early. I wear eye and face protection so I hadn't seen the bulbs weren't on for the body so I went to ask the girl in the front. She laughed at me and said "oh you didn't turn on those lamps? And you didn't notice the whole time?" And proceeded to chat at the front and told me she'd come check. She then flipped some switch and was very dismissive and rushed me out. I suggested to her that part of the cleaning process should be to make sure the proper settings (who just uses face lights??) and she walked away saying "yeah we'll sometimes I forget" It's ok to forget but be accountable and apologize. Deceitful business practices. I had to freeze my account to take care of health concerns at the VA. Was told instead of cancelling my account I could freeze it, pay $5 a month then reactivate and my $5 month payments would be applied as a pro-rate to a new membership. Was told they no longer do this and I basically lost my money from 11 months and was never notified of any changes. I will be disputing and reporting this deceptive business practice and also received no help from corporate. read more

Came here last month when they were having a customer appreciation sale and came in for a spray and teeth whitening session. Abby helped me pick the perfect shade and my tan looked amazing for the wedding I went to! On top of that, my teeth are still super white and look great (I bought two kits but only have used one and they still look so good). Just went to try to get a tanning session, only to find out that they're charging $30 per session and that the monthly packages require a full month tacked on after the month you join. So if you sign up on the 10th of the month you get the first month prorated and the second month full price. There's no option for just a month or just a couple weeks, and no options for points to spread out over a few weeks. So their rates went up after COVID quarantine when many facilities have tried to be more reasonable. If you just want to get a base tan for a trip coming up in a couple of weeks, you pay $180 for say 6 sessions, or you pay for a month and a half when you only need 2 weeks. iTan charges an arm and a leg. I come from Phoenix AZ where costs are so much more reasonable. I feel bad for their employees, having to relay these policies to aspiring clientele. I feel like iTAN is managed by someone with little common sense; how could this change lead to greater revenue over time? If I was staying here in Pacific Beach I'd open up a tanning salon. They charge way too much and could use some competition in my opinion. read more

Look I am not one to usually leave a review, however I feel like I have to after what I experinced at this location. They were clearly understaffed so I get being stressed, however the brunette girl working was so rude and unprofessional to the point I up and left. This is saying ALOT because I'm about to leave for stage coach and really wanted a tan for the weekend. The girl working (I wish i got her name but she didnt have a name tag on) was talking bad about management, complaining about all of the people waiting to get spray tans in front of our faces, and completely dismissed me and told me it would be a long wait so I should just go sit down or come back. Her co-worker came in late and she was so rude to her, complaining out loud in front of customers, and huffing and puffing about how bad everything was. When the co worker went to help me and AGAIN, the girl interjected and said it is going to take a really long time to get to me. There was literally 3 people ahead of me so I am not really sure why she was being so rude, I was happy to wait but she totally made me feel like my presence was a burden. I don't give 2 stars because I love the treatment I get from few of the front desk girls, but today I went there for my first time using the hydration bed, but no one actually explained to me that the rounded place where the steam comes out is not where your legs go, and they're very open and you can easily confuse if you've never done it before! Im about to fly for 20 hours and my legs hurt so bad and a bubble is coming out, when I left the bed and ask for some first aid burning cream or gel, there was none! Very disappointing! I live in Pacific Beach, so this is where I choose to go because it's so convenient and there's usually parking after going around the parking lot a few times. There are always beds or spray tans available as well! It kind of pains me to give only 3 stars, but here's why: some of the girls who work there are so nice and knowledgeable and comforting and friendly; but unfortunately, more often than not, many are not friendly at all. I'm not sure if they hate their jobs or what, but they don't smile; and a lot of them can't explain the different tanning options to me, or the complicated pricing structures. That's the most annoying part - I'd like to be educated about their options and especially the pricing piece. Also - my SDCCU card doesn't work there! And the front desk girls always just brush it off and say that SDCCU cards don't work with their system. Also, a couple times, the beds made a terrifying and weird noise, and the music doesn't work. All in all, I will keep coming here because it's so convenient, but customer service and service of the tanning beds could certainly be improved. read more

I love the variety this salon offers... from msytic and airbrushing to 6 different types of beds, and even phototherapy facials and body wraps. The girls working at this location are cute and very friendly. The salon is also very clean and well kept which is a plus. My only complaints would be the prices (an enrollment fee) and the fact the the level one beds do not seem to be that great of quality; maybe I just pampered myself too much by using the higher quality beds in the beginning but why spend so much money a month when perfect beach weather is among us and a tanning bed is only needed to maintain a tan for those times when you can't bask in the gorgeous sun. I got there very excited to tan for my birthday because I've doing spray tans at day spas where you can really look natural tan right after they spray you. She ultimately helped me upgrade to get everything I want and I love that she knows me and my routine and addresses me with familiarity every time I walk in. This iTan is probably the best one of the all. It is large and offers a variety of things other than standard tanning. They have spray tan, massaging, teeth whitening, airbrushing...you name it, they have it. They have a number of beds too, so it doesn't take forever if you swing in after work or at other peak times. The facility is always clean and you don't feel dirty or uncomfortable here whatsoever. The staff is very welcoming and knowledgeable about their products and what promotions they are currently running. My one complaint would have to be the pricing though. I don't understand why each time I come back I have to pay another enrollment fee (which is high) to continue a service that I had started a long time ago. It's not that I am reaping the benefits of a new customer either. The place is great and I do keep returning here regardless of the price. read more

I only go to tanning salons every seven years or so.... When I do... I rely on the advice of the people working there to tell me what I should do. I told the attendant that I and not been to a salon in at least five years and that everything from my shoulders to my thighs have not seen the sun in a long time. I wanted to get a base tan before going to Mexico. She said using a number three on Tuesday and then a number five on Thursday would do the trick. I went in for 15 minutes on a number three and have the worst sunburn I have ever had in my life. It is Friday and I'm about to leave for my trip and I don't think that I'll be able to expose most of my skin to the sun for the entire five days of my holiday. Yes, I'm in my 40s and I should've done some research, but you would think the staff would be more responsible than that. I even had to ask her to remind me how to turn on the machine... The level of my sunburn is actually quite dangerous. If you do not know what you are doing, do not go to this salon. read more
