Spray Daze Tan - Dark Tan Left and double dip tan on the Right - Spray Tanning Near Me - San Diego, California

I hate leaving negative reviews, especially when the staff has been so kind. This a true 1 star review but gave 2 because of the customer service. I genuinely thought every girl who helped me was sweet and professional. My issue is with the product and the results. I purchased a package of three spray tans. After my first session, I loved how it looked when I left, but once it developed, I looked extremely orange. Like Donald Trump Orange.... I couldn't even wait very long before booking my second session because I wanted to fix it. At my second appointment, I explained that I didn't like how orange I became. I've only had spray tans done in Miami before this, and I've never had this issue. I was told we'd try a different solution or method. During that visit, I also ended up purchasing a $45 tan remover and exfoliating mitt because it was recommended for my next appointment. Looking back, I don't really feel like I needed it, and I honestly felt a little pressured into buying it. It's still sitting unused. Unfortunately, my second spray tan was even worse. It was sticky, developed with noticeable streaks, and I looked orange again. It was so bad that I showered it off within an hour because I couldn't stand how it looked. When I came back for my third session, I had the same technician who did my first tan. I explained everything that happened during my second visit. She mentioned that my clothing may have contributed to the streaking, so I followed all of her recommendations and wore loose clothing afterward. She also told me we'd use an espresso solution so I wouldn't turn orange this time. The application itself was great. It wasn't sticky, and she did a beautiful job applying it. But once it developed, I was orange AGAIN. At that point, I realized this just isn't the right product for my skin tone. I'm Latina with olive skin, and I tan naturally very well. I was looking to become darker version of myself like healthy, bronzed glow. Instead, every time the tan developed, it leaned orange on me, and I was unhappy with the result. That's why I'm leaving a 2-star review. Honestly would've let a 1 star review for the tan and products but gave an extra star because how nice were the employees. They were all genuinely kind and tried to help. But after three different sessions, three opportunities to adjust the process, and multiple conversations about my concerns, I still ended up with the same result. Maybe these products work great for other skin tones, and that's reflected in the many positive reviews. But if you have an olive or naturally tan complexion like mine, I think it's important to know that your experience may be different. I considered reaching out privately instead of leaving a review, but after three appointments, I'm not really sure what the solution would be. Another spray tan would likely give me the same outcome. I spent money on a package, additional products, and multiple appointments, only to end up removing the tan because I didn't like how orange it looked. I truly appreciate how kind everyone at the salon was, and I wish I had a better experience. I just think there may be a gap in either the product selection or the approach for clients with olive skin tones, and I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for future customers. read more

Having never had a spray tan in my life, I was a little nervous getting one before my trip to Maui as I had no idea what to expect. I'm also not stoked about standing in front of a stranger naked. But my experience with Chloe was so easy! She made me feel comfortable from the moment I walked in and gave me clear direction throughout the process. She was so warm and kind- a true girl's girl! Best place for spray tans in San Diego! Easy booking, the tans last a really long time and they do a really thorough job tanning you. The tans also do not have a weird smell, which is huge for me! read more

I have been to this location several times, and all of the staff members made me feel at ease with my tan experience, which means a lot when you're a bigger gal in the nude. I only docked a star because my last experience (do not recall the tanner) left me splotchy for over a week, so I highly recommend you ask questions and review all tips and tricks for aftercare and tan maintenance to avoid embarassing stains. Not all of them will go through it all with you, perhaps assuming you already know. Parking can also be a challenge (limted to street/metered parking), so bear that in mind when visiting this location. read more

Highly recommend booking with Hailey at Spray Daze. The first time we met, she explained how I could maximize my tan if I made changes to the service I had originally booked. Now, I only do what she recommends and trust her fully to decide what I need each time I come in. Her tan will last me 2 weeks or more if I follow the post-care routine she gives me and her kindness and energy make the experience worth 6 stars ! read more

I've been going to Spray Daze Tan since 2021 (both the Mission Valley and Banker's Hill locations) and still couldn't be happier. The spray tans are consistently perfect (and fully customizable) every single time. I'm also grateful for the team who makes it such a welcoming environment. I always feel comfortable and walk out feeling more confident than when I came in. I've booked with everyone who does the spray tans and they're all incredibly kind and skilled at what they do. read more

I highly recommend this place if you need a tan!! This was my first time ever getting an airbrush spray tan, I the best experience and got the best tan ever. I haven't had a spray tan in years, but I was going on a trip to Hawaii and decided to see if I could get a last minute spray tan. I was able to book an appointment day of online (I always appreciate online booking). I'm very pale, so I'm always a bit nervous getting a tan that's too intense, but the team at Sundaze listened to what I was looking for and did an amazing job. The staff was kind, made you feel comfortable, did an amazing job, and their products seemed high quality. The tan was flawless and faded very naturally. The customer service was amazing - they checked in w me multiple times after the tan to give me tips to make it last longer and see if I had any questions or concerns. They offer a higher quality spray tan and customer service at a price that is very fair. I will definitely be back! read more

Brittany was phenomenal! I came in for my first spray tan ever and she made the process so easy. have an olive skin tone and am pretty naturally tan already, but wanted to get my summer color back for my wedding this spring. So I decided to go for a test run. She asked me what my desired outcome was and then suggested how we can achieve that. The process was super fast and she was so easy to talk to throughout. My tan came out incredible. I was worried about looking orange or splotchy (like I see a lot with spray tans) and that was not the case AT. ALL. The tan is beautiful and so even all around. I am completely obsessed and will 100000% be coming back. read more

I have an event on Saturday and as suggested by Brittany, had my spray on Thursday evening. I'm blown away! This is my first experience having a person spray paint me. I was a bit nervous. The salon is beautiful, clean and tidy and I had no trouble finding it or parking. Brittany brought me in right away and explained the process. The dress I am wearing could show tan lines so I undressed completely. Brittany was so professional and really made me feel comfortable. I'm surprised that I can't smell the tanner 3 hours after leaving. I have been in a spray booth before and always felt dry and stinky until I showered. Not to mention the spray booths can't turn you to get every place or crack or cheek. I am thrilled with the results so far and can't wait to see how it develops over the next day. I highly recommend visiting Brittany or one of her artists. I know I will return soon. Thank you! read more
