I hate leaving negative reviews, especially when the staff has been so kind. This a true 1 star review but gave 2 because of the customer service. I genuinely thought every girl who helped me was sweet and professional. My issue is with the product and the results. I purchased a package of three spray tans. After my first session, I loved how it looked when I left, but once it developed, I looked extremely orange. Like Donald Trump Orange.... I couldn't even wait very long before booking my second session because I wanted to fix it. At my second appointment, I explained that I didn't like how orange I became. I've only had spray tans done in Miami before this, and I've never had this issue. I was told we'd try a different solution or method. During that visit, I also ended up purchasing a $45 tan remover and exfoliating mitt because it was recommended for my next appointment. Looking back, I don't really feel like I needed it, and I honestly felt a little pressured into buying it. It's still sitting unused. Unfortunately, my second spray tan was even worse. It was sticky, developed with noticeable streaks, and I looked orange again. It was so bad that I showered it off within an hour because I couldn't stand how it looked. When I came back for my third session, I had the same technician who did my first tan. I explained everything that happened during my second visit. She mentioned that my clothing may have contributed to the streaking, so I followed all of her recommendations and wore loose clothing afterward. She also told me we'd use an espresso solution so I wouldn't turn orange this time. The application itself was great. It wasn't sticky, and she did a beautiful job applying it. But once it developed, I was orange AGAIN. At that point, I realized this just isn't the right product for my skin tone. I'm Latina with olive skin, and I tan naturally very well. I was looking to become darker version of myself like healthy, bronzed glow. Instead, every time the tan developed, it leaned orange on me, and I was unhappy with the result. That's why I'm leaving a 2-star review. Honestly would've let a 1 star review for the tan and products but gave an extra star because how nice were the employees. They were all genuinely kind and tried to help. But after three different sessions, three opportunities to adjust the process, and multiple conversations about my concerns, I still ended up with the same result. Maybe these products work great for other skin tones, and that's reflected in the many positive reviews. But if you have an olive or naturally tan complexion like mine, I think it's important to know that your experience may be different. I considered reaching out privately instead of leaving a review, but after three appointments, I'm not really sure what the solution would be. Another spray tan would likely give me the same outcome. I spent money on a package, additional products, and multiple appointments, only to end up removing the tan because I didn't like how orange it looked. I truly appreciate how kind everyone at the salon was, and I wish I had a better experience. I just think there may be a gap in either the product selection or the approach for clients with olive skin tones, and I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for future customers. read more

I had a very disappointing experience here. My first spray tan in Mission Valley was rushed, and the tech missed obvious areas like my knees, hands, and ankles. I reached out to the owner, and she offered to make it right and credit my account with a complimentary tan at her Bankers Hill location. I drove all the way there (25 minutes from me), only to find out the only parking available was paid parking or free parking six blocks away. Being 7 months pregnant in 80-degree heat, that just wasn't realistic. I ended up leaving without going in, which was another waste of time and gas. On top of that, I went on a Tuesday when their instagram clearly advertised "$40 Spray Tan Tuesday," but I was charged $50. After two trips, extra money, and still no even results, this is very disappointing. While I appreciate that the owner tried to make it right, the experience overall has been frustrating and inconvenient. My tan was uneven and streaky (see photos), and I wouldn't recommend this place. In response to the owners reply My knees and hands were never touched or rubbed nor did any water get on my knees. Those pictures are as soon as I got home, the problem was the girl was rushing and didn't care what the tan looked like. I've had plenty of spray tans in the past and it's never looked like that. As far as the $40 special I would think the tech would bring that up rather than a new customer having to ask. As a hairstylist when I'm running a promo for my clients I don't expect them to ask it's automatically applied to their service. I asked her to do the "double dip" tan and she was hesitant because it was my first time with her then didn't do everything twice like she did the first pass or it would've been even all around and dark. I have been to this location several times, and all of the staff members made me feel at ease with my tan experience, which means a lot when you're a bigger gal in the nude. I only docked a star because my last experience (do not recall the tanner) left me splotchy for over a week, so I highly recommend you ask questions and review all tips and tricks for aftercare and tan maintenance to avoid embarassing stains. Not all of them will go through it all with you, perhaps assuming you already know. I have an event on Saturday and as suggested by Brittany, had my spray on Thursday evening. I'm blown away! This is my first experience having a person spray paint me. I was a bit nervous. The salon is beautiful, clean and tidy and I had no trouble finding it or parking. Brittany brought me in right away and explained the process. The dress I am wearing could show tan lines so I undressed completely. Brittany was so professional and really made me feel comfortable. I'm surprised that I can't smell the tanner 3 hours after leaving. I have been in a spray booth before and always felt dry and stinky until I showered.
