We were one of those couples that didn't have a ton of direction but Hanel always seemed to be one step ahead. He was so kind and approachable at the very first meeting that we had zero reservations in choosing him even though we didn't know too many details about his style of photography or what it would be like to work with him. Turns out his style is both inventive and artistic, and and he is extremely easy to work with (we got so lucky!) At our engagement session, he went out of his way to get shots that were absolutely gorgeous. One particular shot of us on a bridge involved him walking out very far away and still try to give us directions so we look our best in the photos. To get to all the locations we had in mind, an unanticipated cab ride was involved. Even then, Hanel took that opportunity to capture some of our favorite shots. He really goes above and beyond in every way. For couples who are not comfortable in front of the camera - do not worry! Hanel will talk you through all the shots and he does not actually pose you, so everything looks natural and beautiful. My husband learned how to pose for photos ever since. On our wedding day, Hanel and his staff were punctual and so pleasant to work with. Looking back at our wedding photos, he did not miss a single significant moment and in fact captured a lot that we had missed. Our photos came out looking authentic and so very beautiful. Some of the ones at sunset are jaw-dropping gorgeous - our friends and family keep telling us unprompted months after the wedding (and I really do think it's the photographs that they love and not just us). Once again, Hanel and his staff went above and beyond - he even took photos while standing precariously on a moving golf cart (again, one of our favorites that's getting framed!). One of the staff who works at the venue said he had seen over 500 weddings and never once did a photographer do that.
