I was sent an "electrician" from Encresco through First American Home Warranty. I use the term "electrician" loosely because he didn't even check that the circuit breaker was off before working on a 30amp 220V outlet. We had an outlet that caught fire. I showed him what had happened, and he said he didn't come with a replacement 30 amp 220V outlet. Then he wanted to install the scorched outlet back in the same outlet. What an f***ing idiot! I should have asked to see his license at that very moment and refused service, but we didn't have a clothes dryer for close to a week. I ended up buying a part for him to install, which of course, First American refused to reimburse. (He didn't offer to come back when he had a part. He just said he was going to install the burned one!) A bunch of friggin scam artists. read more

My washing machine stopped working abruptly on a Friday afternoon. Water wouldn't drain out of my top loader. Bought this space age looking Samsung almost 8 years ago so it was well out of warranty. Called GeekSquad anyway and they said earliest they could come out was a week later and would charge 125 just to diagnose. Having two young boys, going nearly 7 days without a working washing machine is asking for a stinky house. Called Encreso and they set us up with Aleksey who accommodated our work hours and showed up on time around 6pm braving the OC traffic on a Friday evening. He quickly diagnosed we had a broken drain motor and offered to replace it on the spot. An hour and a half later, the washing machine was back in working order and running smoothly. Afterwards he spent ten minutes explaining what he did and provided some great tips on routine washer maintenance especially as it related to a top loading washer. We just bought a house and the previous owner had made us aware that the fan in the family room was not working and would take some efforts to fix because they tried and were not able to fix it. I scheduled the repair and Ramon showed up and amazingly he was able to troubleshoot and fix it. My family had even given up after 1.5hrs. Fan worked after 2hours of troubleshooting the electrical and wiring in the house. It was super difficult because the outlets and wiring were not part of the original house so we didn't know how it was wired. We all jumped when we saw the fan to work! Our dryer started burning "fluffier" fabrics such as the lining inside thicker jackets. I thought it was just the heating grill located in the back of the dryer, so I cleaned that myself, but the issue kept happening. We got tired of seeing brand new clothes have to be thrown out so we got Encreso to come out. The tech came out, saw the issues with our clothes and said the dryer was burning too hot and the black charring was caused by lint/fabric that was literally melting. He took the dryer apart and also reset the machine so that it runs at EcoBoost, which makes the dryer run longer but at lower heat. He seems to have fixed the problem and we are no longer seeing any permanent burn marks on our laundry. Highly recommend! read more

I was told "they might even have the part" in stock without having to order. Repair person came and said they fix "thousands" of these exact oven ranges for this "exact" issue. He said he needed to go order the part then they would contact me with a quote. Never contacted me with a quote so I reached out and was simply told "part is unavailable." I find that interesting since the technician told me "we have fixed thousands of these exact oven ranges for this exact issue" and he said it was extremely common. Honestly just seems like their business model is more so to try and get as many $65 diagnosis as possible without fixing anything. Especially since I gave them all the info before-hand and was told it was an extremely common issue. So I paid the diagnosis and will not be able to have them fix the issue since their only response to me was "part unavailable." read more

I really appreciated Alex for his thoroughness in diagnosing what might have been causing the freezing of the back panel and the ice blocking the fan and also appreciated how patiently and clearly he explained the various scenarios/options I had for getting it fixed.
