The first time we had a leak, they were able to come out the next day and fix it. It took just a few hours and they even had someone they knew patch up the dry wall for me. The other time, they fixed our toilet and this time that I called, they were able to come out within 20 minutes! Thankfully, we didn't have a leak this time. Mario is always nice, knows what he is doing, and is always considerate to wear shoe coverings (despite my house being a mess). The person who schedules the appts is also very nice. Mark provided recommendations based on my home and how it is set up. I didn't do all of the recommendations but the ones I did accept should increase the longevity of my water heater. I had also contacted other plumbers for estimates, but Mikey, from Socal Plumbing really stood out. He was incredibly patient, answered all of my questions, and continued to be responsive when I had additional questions--even when I was getting another estimate from a reconstruction team there. He never made me feel rushed and took the time to explain everything and answer my questions. That level of patience and customer service really stood out to me. When they first came out in August, they replaced our angle stops because the old ones could not be turned off properly. The work was noticeably better than the angle-stop work for the emergency toilet leak done by the plumbers from my insurance company's emergency response. I attached a picture of the angle stops SoCal and the toilet angle stop installed so you can see the difference. Because the abatement, mitigation, and reconstruction and HOA took some time, there was a delay before we were able to have SoCal return to complete the plumbing for our new vanity and toilets upstairs and downstairs. Our upstairs toilet had been leaking, and since Delta no longer makes the same model, we decided to replace both toilets so we wouldn't have to worry about another leak downstairs. SoCal recommended Toto toilets, and after sitting on them, I completely agree--the flush is definitely powerful and are definitely the most comfortable toilets we've had! The vanity was definitely the more challenging part. We went from an open double-sink vanity to a new vanity with two sinks and two faucets, which required reconfiguring the drain, giving each sink its own P-trap, and relocating the existing hot and cold water lines to connect to the sinks. They also needed to open the drywall to access the plumbing. They completed all of this in one day and were even able to accommodate us by coming one day earlier than scheduled. That's SoCal Plumbing! My plumber was Mikey, and he was excellent. Joseph, the manager at SoCal Plumbing, was also exceptional. From communication and scheduling to accommodations and recommendations, they were there every step of the way--even when our project was delayed because of the reconstruction. They are reasonably priced, but what stands out most is their legendary customer service. They communicated well, worked with our complicated reconstruction timeline, and made sure the plumbing was done properly. I would absolutely recommend SoCal Plumbing to anyone who needs a plumber.

They are scummy salesmen…read more I'm having a few issues with the water filtration system at a rental home I own, so I called to have a technician come out and take a look. He spent an hour talking about how great their new systems are, but after he left, I realized the water fill line for the salt tank wasn't even attached, which might explain why the unit isn't working properly. I would expect a water filtration technician performing a maintenance check to notice that a critical water line was disconnected, but everyone makes mistakes. So I called them back and scheduled a 2-4 PM window for someone to come out and hopefully fix the issue. I even received a call at 8:00 AM confirming the appointment. Then, at 3:00 PM--an hour into the arrival window--the owner of the company called me, confused about the issue, and said they don't fix units like mine. He told me I need a new unit because of an error code, and that NO ONE was actually scheduled to come out. The only reason they came out for an estaminet was to convince me to buy a new unit classic bate and switch BS. They had no intent to help me fix my unit at all. I planned my whole day around this appointment. The owner seemed confused why I did not just want to buy a new unit. Call me crazy, but I don't want to spend thousands of dollars if all I have to do is replace a 3-dollar plastic water line. It is like getting a flat tire, and the mechanic is trying to sell you a new car. just slimie as all hell.

Over time, the wood started rotting and paint started peeling off. With El Niño approaching, I wanted to get this fixed. I spent several weeks researching handymen and door repair specialists. Most people I contacted wanted to completely replace both the door frame and the door itself which was quite costly. Additionally, my door and the upper jambs were still in great condition, and I didn't want to be wasteful by throwing those away. One person told me that this sort of repair was too difficult and didn't want to take it on. Ivan responded that he had fixed similar issues before and quoted me a reasonable price. Ivan arrived on time and got right to work. Something that I really appreciated was he took the time to explain step by step what he was going to do. The end result looked fantastic. He was able to replace the bottom jams, paint, and seal everything to the point where it looked like there had never been any damage in the first place. We had rain a week after the repair was done and my door jambs were bone dry the entire time. One thing I do want to note is that Ivan does have a a team that works under him. If you want Ivan specifically, you will need to request him but know that you might need to wait a little longer because he is very popular.
