Will not come during an emergency- septic backed up, flooding in house, family of 6 can't use toilets. What a joke.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNDER ANY MEANS! I rarely write a bad review with one stars, but this place is the WORST business in Evergreen, or even Colorado. The WORST management of any company anywhere. They would let a decorated World War II 95 year old VET go homeless instead of just doing what they said they'd do! Here's the story: I am helping my father-in laws sell his home as he needs to get his wife (mother in-law) into a home for dementia, and had very little time to do this transaction. My father in-law will be 95 on the days he needed to move, and he is a Peal Harbor survivor from 1941, then a gunner for 3 years. He came back home physically unhurt, but he ended up getting polio, so he's had a hard life, but always kept a great attitude, as people in that generation did. I called this company end of August and told them I needed it in a couple weeks, 3 at most so they can close and take care of our mom. The man I talked to understood, said he'd get it within a week or two, no problem. I kept calling and calling, and finally that dumb fucking bitch answered the phone, and would actually answer and tell me they were working on it the schedule and she'll get something final to me tomorrow....this happened at least 3 times. I finally blew up today since my father in-law will be basically homeless in less than a week, and then they started yelling at ME for being upset at them. She then said, we never had you as a customer or had you on our schedule - ever...what a fucking moron company. I HATE These people! I am calling 9 News, etc and tell them how THIS company treats WWII decorated Vets... I'm really want to go down there and beat that woman, but that won't help my dad, would make me feel better for a while though...however, I realized that they just can't help it they are stupid is as stupid does....yes, it makes sense if you now think your dealing with Forest Gump....yes, great analogy. This company pumped sewage from a neighboring home (foreclosure) and spilled approx 20 gallons of sewage on my road. They didn't clean it up. When the owner was asked to clean it it he yelled at me and came up with 20 conflicting excuses as to why he couldn't clean up the spill. Both my county and the the State of CO disagree with him. There are rules and procedures he should follow. He stated if he had spilled on my property he would have cleaned it up. Call Shirley or Foothills for your septic needs - not these clowns read more

The pump job was completed in a timely manner and for the cost quoted. Cost is more than some of the other local septic companies. Once pumped, I noticed that one of my septic tank lids was damaged. The owner claimed they did not touch that lid to pump but if they do not, how does it get broken. She would not accept that I had photos of it before and after. She simply said it was my responsibility and even suggested maybe a deer or elk got in my 6ft tall fenced in yard and broke it. I would not recommend their service. I understand that things occur, but don't simply discount what a homeowner says and lie about it as if nothing happened. read more

Inept and unprofessional. I needed to get the septic pumped and inspected for a home sale as required by JeffCo. They knew that I was on a short time-frame (3 weeks to close, on 4/9). Their selling point was that they would mail out the inspection forms to JeffCo for me, unlike the other companies whom they claimed will only give you the forms to fill out. To smooth the process, I gave them my CC number when I set up the appointment for 3/17. They said they would send the forms to JeffCo to speed things up since JeffCo was backlogged by 2-3 weeks. On 3/17, They came later than the scheduled time but they did say that they might be late. The septic guy took my shovels without my permission and used them to dig the septic! Really?!? Then he proceeded to spill septic waste on my driveway and didn't clean it up. As part of the inspection, my husband told him that the grey water just spilled into the surface ground. We did not know that this is against JeffCo rules when we bought the house but Evergreen passed the system anyway. On 3/18, they emailed me the pass on the inspection. Then they tell me that they couldn't mail in my inspection report without payment. Despite having already given them my CC info, I had to give it to them again. They still did not mail out the forms. Then the home inspector & JeffCo came and said that grey water not flowing into the septic was not allowed and we found out that the system shouldn't have been passed. My transaction broker informed Evergreen Septic who then retracted out inspection pass (even though should should have sent it out 2 days prior). When I called Violet to complain about this mishandling of our servicing, she was very defensive. She refused to offer any kind of restitution and was extremely defensive and unapologetic. She just insisted on some clause in the paperwork and insisted that no refunds were due. Very rude, very unprofessional and I question their aptitude in this business. Avoid. read more

Wow customer service is dead and gone with these folks.....Scheduled a pump out and the driver showed up 90 minutes late....Jerry the driver claimed that the lid needed to be uncovered and then explained that he costs $150 an hour with his truck running.....he then left.....called Violet at the office for an explanation on why I was not told to uncover the tank and she screamed that she tells everybody what needs to be done and then she hung up on me! Rescheduled three times in two months, then calls to cancel on this appointment - says the road is not good enough for their truck. Didn't even try to drive up the mountain. They pumped us before years ago, now that the dirt road is graded nice and is wider than ever, yet they can't make it? Needed this done for the sale of our house, now we have to find someone else and deal with the fallout - realtor pics scheduled tomorrow, with our septic tank lids uncovered now since these guys were a no show. I first scheduled my appointment for June 4th. They called back and asked if they could reschedule for June 11th at 1:00. I said ok. On the morning of the 11th the owner called and asked if he could come at 11:00 instead. This meant I had to hurry and change my schedule because I was in Denver at the time and it would take an hour to drive to my property. I packed up the kids and drove the hour. Arriving at 10:45. At 11:30 I called the office of evergreen septic to make sure they knew I was there waiting. At 12:30 I called again but no one answered. I called almost continuously for an hour. At 1:38 I finally got ahold of someone who said the driver was having car trouble but at least he had cell service. . So he had cell service but couldn't bother to call and say he would be over 2 hrs late!?!?! She informed me that I would need to reschedule. I told her to have someone call me, in one hr. I would be driving back to Denver and cell service is not dependable. When I arrive home I get a message from the man saying he is headed to my cabin. I wasn't there anymore and the gate was locked. I called him back. His response... He wasn't going to do it anymore. It was too hard for him. Lazy... Poor communication... Terrible customer service.... read more

I have been a septic installer in Clear Creek County for 20 years. If I treated my customers the way these people do, I would have been out of business years ago. I had a closing on my home and needed a pump and use permit inspection. Reserved a date two weeks in advance that was two weeks before my closing to pump my septic and perform a Use Inspection. They changed my date to a week later. (thats ok no problem) Then they call me on the prior date and say they are in the neighborhood and can service me. (cool ok) did not hear anything for three days. Called them and got a person that didn't know anything on the results and said they would call right back. No call. Called them again and talked to Jerry was told that they did not do anything. (frustrated but kept my cool) Asked them if they would come back on the second date and was put on hold. Then Violet gets on the phone. (nasty tone) Says they could not find the house, that I wasted their time, that she texted me (she did not) Then threw in a flat tire for good measure. (still maintained my cool) I asked when they could service me. She starts telling me that my road was crappy that the conditions were crappy and that she did not want to service me at all. She had no problem getting to two of my neighbors that were on roads that were really challenging! (OK I get that maybe they had some kind of bad experience getting to my home) But to conduct their business in this fashion (nasty tone, unprofessional behavior by just dropping me altogether with no call or text) in unacceptable. Do not use these folks. I called Shirley Septic and was treated with professional dignity and respect. I have had every large truck imaginable come to my home including but limited to: Drilling rigs, Mixers, lumber trucks, Propane delivery plus UPS, FedEX (everyday) The conditions were dry! read more

This is the second time I have worked with Evergreen. Both times they were prompt, professional and great to work with. They are very accommodating when scheduling and in both cases were able to work with my last minute request. During the appointment they are very informative and honest. Septic inspections are not exactly enjoyable - and in my case have not always been the best of news, but the team is great at helping you understand the issues and what to expect. They showed up 3 hours after scheduled appointment time, with no apology. Work was okay but when questioned about showing up late they stated they didn't need our business if we didn't like it. Violet is extremely unprofessional and rude. Scheduled a service with them then a day before they were to show up they called to tell me they couldn't show because of holiday traffic. If that's the case the date shouldn't have been scheduled in the first place. When I expressed my displeasure she raised her voice and then hung up on me. They will not be getting my business. Based on other reviews these people must think because there are only a few options in the Bailey area they don't have to have to maintain a quality of customer service. My landlord called them when I complained of sewage backed up under the house into the crawlspace. They showed up, couldn't find the septic lid, and 'forgot' they had also been asked to pump out the crawlspace as top priority. They somehow couldn't get me scheduled for return appointment until 1 week later, then failed to show up entirely with no phone call to let me know they wouldn't be coming. Thanks for wasting my day off. They blamed the snow, but I made it to work this evening. Unreliable. I setup an appointed for 2 weeks out, they rescheduled on me (no problem there - I can handle that). When the day of the 2nd appointment came around, they called me up with a list of excuses on why they couldn't make it. First they insisted I was in a different neighborhood than I was. Then when I convinced them I was exactly where I said I was, they said they wouldn't be able to service me because my septic lids were more than 100 ft away from my driveway. If I could give them a negative number. I hired Evergreen Septic to come over and pump out my septic tank. Shortly upon arrival the owner of the company who was driving the truck didn't put the emergency break on and the truck ran into my house causing damage. I watched this all happen in disbelief as I just installed a brand new garage door 2 months ago. The owner stepped out of the truck, talked to me about how this will only be his second insurance claim in the history of his company, told me about his bad day and then stated all he could look forward was all you can eat lobster and crab at Red Lobster after work. He did not once apologize for his mistake. Before he left he then told me that he was giving me a deal because my tank was greater then 10ft below his truck and normally he would charges $100 for this. My tank is about 13ft below is truck. I am an engineer and will never understand that math. The next day I would assumed someone from his office would call me to discuss how we where going to handle this. Nobody called so by mid-afternoon I called them. They told me to call there insurance company. You would think their insurance company would call me. Once again nobody apologized for this. After nearly a month of back and forth with their insurance company Progressive dragging their feet (Keep in mind I can't open my garage door this entire time) and not even having a contractor come to my house for an estimate I called Evergreen Septic back up to let them know the situation was not getting resolved. I went on to say that if your insurance company isn't going to handle this I was going to get my lawyer involved. Evergreen Septic went on to say that this situation needs to be handled business like. I was like ok. Business like means that after 1 month my garage door and other damage should be fixed. The only response I got was you need to deal with our insurance company. As of today it's been 6 weeks and I can still not open my garage door because their insurance company Progressive is trying to not pay for the whole repair and expects me to manage the entire scope of work. I had the septic inspected by another company that stated I needed costly repairs. I wanted a second opinion. Evergreen Septic pumped, inspected, and repaired the septic in a timely manner and for a lot less than the other company I had contacted. When I first moved into Evergreen I had Evergreen septic inspect the septic system at the house we were buying. Excellent inspection and costumer service. Well 4 years later I needed too have it pumped and called Evergreen Septic not knowing it was sold and bought by someone else. I scheduled a appointment too have it pumped. Well the night before it was too be pumped Jerry called and was asking how far my septic tank was away from my driveway and what the grade was. He showed one thing on his records that was obviously incorrect. Showed my septic was a ways downhill. When he called he called he told me that if it was too far away he would not pump my system because of how far downhill it was and he's burned too many pumps up on his truck. However he does mention he would pump it it was just going too cost me 250$ more because he's burned a lot of pumps out in his truck and he was sick and tired of wrecking his trucks and the customer isn't the one that has too pay too fix them. Personally it sounded like a way for him too rip someone off. He agreed he would come look at it in the morning. Next morning Jerry arrives and says he can do it. It was him and a kid around a high schoolers age. While they are pumping my septic and they get close to done he tells me the "T" on the line coming from the house into the septic had fallen of and how important it was too have this T on the end of the line in the septic too throw waste of too either side as it comes out too the house. So I ask him if he can get it put on for me. He had told me the "T" was sitting on the bottom of the tank and was needed was a rake or something too reach down there and grab it and put it on. So I asked him if he could do that real quick. It was like I asked him too rob a bank. It was out of the question they were behind and were in a hurry and he added he also charges too do that and he would have too come back out. I don't remember the exact dollar amount I do remember it was insane. So he left the t in the bottom of the tank and closed the lids could care less. However he had no problem letting me know he could come back out and do that for and additional charge. I have a dosing tank on my system that has a filter. I have always cleaned that filter. It's easy. I was never told that they would look at the filter or anything. After they have everything loaded up and ready too leave he gives me the bill and he lets me know that they cleaned my filter for 75$. I was never asked if I wanted them too clean it. Like I said its in the dosing tank the the tanks they were here too pump. I was never once told he would look at that and if it needed to be cleaned they can clean it and would for 75$. He too it upon himself too clean it and charge me. However I had cleaned that filter 10 days before. I mark it on my calendar so I know when too take it out and clean it. See it's very simple and takes 5 min. So the filter wasn't that dirty he was just trying too scam some money out of someone and new that was a easy way too do it. He wasn't polite while here. He didn't care about the customer at all. Since this I have asked a lot of people if they use this company too do there septic and everyone I have talked too has had a horrible experience and has nothing but negative things too say about them. The don't care about the residents of this town. They care about ripping people off and treating them like dirt. Stay away from this company. Everyone I have talked too says too use Shirley's septic that they are kind honest hard working business. That who I will use next time or if I ever have any septic issue again. Be carful! read more

Jerry & Violet Tidwell, the owners, are extremely rude and unprofessional and horrible people to deal with. Do not use this company. I had a very similar experience to the other 1-star reviews here. Jerry arrived as scheduled and called me because he could not find the septic. He informed me that he was going to charge me $85 to "dig" up the lid. I politely informed him that I was not aware that there was an extra charge to brush off the lid as I surely would have done it. He knew the house was empty as it was under contract and he knew I was under a deadline to get the septic pumped and get the county permit. He immediately and rudely said he was going to walk off the site. I had to argue to keep him on site. I quickly called the office and spoke with Violet and explained politely that I had not been informed of the requirement to have the lid exposed, or of the $85 extra charge. She admitted that no one had informed me of this, and blamed it on a new person working in the office. I asked if there was anything we could do about it (i.e. negotiate the extra charge) and she immediately flew off the handle, started shouting at me, got very defensive and threatened to pull Jerry off the job. I had to tell her several times, "You are not pulling him off the job." She then hung up on me. There is no ability to discuss anything calmly or in an adult fashion with these people, all they do is shout, threaten and hang up. They know people selling homes are under deadline and need a county permit and they will use this as leverage against you to charge you more. I paid $670 to have a small septic pumped. And I will never deal with these people again, absolutely horrible. read more
