My boyfriend and I spent 6 months here and it was my first extended stay experience. There are so many good things to say about evergreen so I'll do my best! Slots: they're spacious and have plenty of cement room as well as dirt/grassy areas to put your own table, chairs, fire pit, play area, dog runs. It has been so convenient to have the space right outside our door for the dogs to play. There's also a lot of trees that provide a good amount of shade which helps keep the electricity bill down. The spot we were in easily fits our 35' trailer and could fit a car as well. The street parking is pretty tight, some of us bring two vehicles and it gets crammed but there is extra parking along the walls and Susie tries her best to accommodate everyone. Neighbors: everyone is SO wonderful! There are a lot of "long termers" and they are all so great. We had no issues whatsoever. There are lots of families, couples, retirees, all kinds of people! There are people that will walk and watch your dogs which has been a life saver. Everyone is so thoughtful and friendly, we leave here with many of new friends! Location: it is right off a main road and there is a lot of traffic outside of the park but the gates and posted surveillance gave us a sense of security and we honestly did not worry about a thing! We felt comfortable with personal items being left out and they were never touched. (The neighbors wouldn't let that happen even if someone tried) There is a park less than half a mile where we would run to and take the dogs. The collection is a great outdoor mall and Ventura's Main Street is less than 10 minutes away. As well as access to a handful of beaches being less than 10 minutes away!!! (The best part). The weather doesn't get any better than this location, 72 and sunny during the day and just chilly enough to open the windows for the night. Amenities: the one amenity we did use was the dog park, it is small but it gets the job done and lets our pups have a little freedom. We did not utilize the porch area but it is so cute! There are grills for anyone's use as well as plenty of sitting room. The laundry room looks clean but we never used it. You can get your own mailbox if they have availability but I know they don't have enough boxes for the whole park due to having short term spots that wouldn't need mail services. The one thing that is inconvenient thing is that for a few shipping providers, they drop packages off at the office so if there isn't any one in the office you can't get your package. But Susie and Bruce both answer the phones all hours of the day so it's no biggie. Thanks for the memories Evergreen! read more

Evergreen RV Park - RV Parks Near Me - Oxnard, California

This is the most worst campground I've ever seen in my life. You need a key card to use the toilet and they won't give it to you. The lady upfront is the most worthless person in the world. You need tokens to take a shower, but she gives them all to her crackhead friends. so when you wanna take a shower, she says she doesn't have any. read more

Would never recommend. The lady at the desk, not helpful at all. Doesn't work with you. Park is mostly full timers. Tried to park next to friends, we couldn't have been further apart. read more

We never got to make a reservation. There is NEVER anyone in the office. You call from the front gate call box and their mailbox is full. We tried for 3 days in a row. I called a different number I found and got an answering service. Read the reviews and be warned: people get locked out and no one is at the office to let them in. Spaces are indeed cramped (did a few drive bys and looked in from the 2 gates). You PAY for using showers and the laundry is expensive. Minimal bathrooms. I truly belive staying here would be a big regret. read more

Such a calm place to stay! Perfectly situated near some of California's most beautiful beaches, minutes away from shopping and gated. Evergreen RV Park is a must for us as we travel and live in our RV! read more

Evergreen RV Park - So relaxing! - RV Parks Near Me - Oxnard, California

From my experience as a full time resident for 5 months I had a great experience . I rarely had any faults with my stay. The washer and dryers were nice. A little expensive but thats a small price to pay. I stayed on 5th street closest to the main road, a little noisy but for my wife and I it quickly dissolved to a point where we didnt notice it. They offered to move us whenever we felt like which was nice. Dog park was a little small but cant really help that being situated right in the heart of Oxnard. Overall the staff was helpful anytime we brought up an issue. If i had to stay In oxnard again I would likely make the move back to evergreen. read more

Wouldn't book this RV park if I were you. The space is tight and you have to park your towing vehicle sideways in front of your trailer. The bath/restroom is a big negative, not only you have to pay to take a shower, there are only two toilets shared by men and women and one of the restrooms is often displayed with " out of service", not to mention restroom is only open from 9am to 9pm. Not worth your money. read more

I would give this a zero star review if I could, but I am not able. I made a reservation more than a month ago for 12 days in July and paid a deposit. I called to see if I could come two days earlier. Mgr Susie said she would call me right back. I called 2 hours later and spoke to Marisol. She was busy but did call me back in 10 minutes as promised. After she confirmed with Susie that they could not accommodate me two days early, she called and left me a message. Marisol apologized that they did not have a spot for 2 days earlier, but they looked forward to seeing us July 8-20. I was good to go. No problem....until, I received an email canceling our reservation all together and refunding my deposit. I called back the next morning and Mgr Susie said there was a miscommunication. When I pressed her as to how, she had no clue. I told her Marisol understood we were still coming because I have the voicemail saying so. She did not care one bit that she just ruined our trip to come visit family. I would NEVER give this woman my business if she was the last RV park on earth. read more

DO NOT, I repeat do not stay here! We had a prepaid reservation made 6 weeks in advance. We arrived 20 minutes before check in, and the office was locked. We had hoped to check in a little early, because we had an appointment in Santa Paula at 1:30. Apparently, they closed for a 4 day weekend for Thanksgiving. There was an emergency phone number on the window, so I called that number. She told me my check in time was at 12:00 (she thought?), and to call her back at the time (20 minutes?). She said she would email me the map with my site number. Well, we went to find the site, and someone was clearly there in a trailer, and not going anywhere. Slides were out, and they were fully hooked up, with no car in site. I started calling back at 11:55 an no answer. I continued to call until 12:15 and she wouldn't pick up. Clearly she was ghosting me. I was starting to panic, because we had the appointment. I called the Ventura Ranch KOA, and they were able to get us in! Horrible customer service! If only she was honest with me from the beginning, telling me there was a mistake and no room for me. Instead she ignored me and refused to call me back. read more

Boy I have a good friend who had made reservations for this RV Park a month in advance and the park canceled them and left them out in the cold. They had a family reunion planned and now they are going to miss it. Absolutely disgusting customer service. I will report this to Good Sam right away. read more

We had a reservation for at least a month and a half or later in February and they just called to tell us that we no longer can stay there because the people that were staying there and we're going to move on our deciding not to move on and so we lost our reservation even though we had a deposit. Do not stay here. They have no scoop on doing the right thing. They should tell those people that they can't stay because they have other people coming in. That's the right thing to do morally, and as a business. I will never stay here and as I see there's a lot of people that don't like this RV park so I think maybe it's a blessingin disguise read more

Location was great for our event BUT we had to call the manager at the box every time we came and went. Our event ended at 10pm so we ended up leaving early so we wouldn't be back too late. They wouldn't give us a code to enter as we pleased. Not at all what we expected. read more

I hesitate writing this review because I honestly want to gatekeep this place so I can keep my spot haha! BUT! I won't because it's truly an amazing park and it deserves the recognition. We currently are doing a long term stay here and we love it. The spaces are very nice compared to where we have stayed prior because the spot where your RV sits is on concrete separate from the patio area. Plus, we have enough patio and grass to have our dog out front where she has plenty of room to run around. From the time we checked in everyone has been incredibly welcoming. A couple that lives a few spots down helped us get into our spot and have checked in on us multiple times. Management here is phenomenal and has answered all my crazy questions since we are new to this lifestyle. It's gated which is the absolute best and we live within 10 minutes of everything. You do laundry from your phone so you can see how many washers or dryers are available. I couldn't recommend Evergreen enough! read more

I was able to make a reservation for the night I stayed rather quickly. Susie was great however when I checked in Susie was out of the office I called the number on the office and door and she called me back within minutes. The space that was sold to me was not so great. Water and electricity was farther than normal and the neighbor had actually been using what was suppose to be my hook ups. Because we were in an RV we left to go out on the town and when we returned someone had taken our space. We were given a new space but never really got any instruction on the gate code or that the showers cost money. Overall Susie was great but the facility looks much better online than in person. Lots of long term residents not really a vacationing trailer park. read more

This is not an RV park it is a full-time rental park. Bruce the Manager, would not give us a code to get in the gate, we had to buzz him, and after 10 pm at night he went to bed. We booked for 2 nights, but had to make arrangements for the second night as we were out after 10. Worst park we stayed in - would recommend the side of the road over this place. No Wifi code, no site map, no location for garbag and for $100 US per night, not even a pool. read more

It is a LIE that they have "24/7 access to ALL guest" only long term guests have gate access after 24/7, if you are there only a few nights they wont give you access to the gate after 9. Susie please don't call me a liar when I know this for a fact, it happened so that I had to leave the park because no one would open the gate after 9. read more

This park is wonderful. It is is quaint, but you can tell the management has done everything they can think of to make it full of amenities. Each spot has concrete slab and a little grass yard. Unlike other places I have stayed where you couldn't even extend the awning. Over the past couple years since finding this park, and staying there as often as they have room, they have invested in really nice and large security gates (vehicle and pedesrtian), a outside community area with gas grills, custom propain fire place, tables, lighting. Also, the laundry room has an automated feature to use your card or phone app to pay for laundry, which is so convenient. (I am so done with quarters). They even put in a little dog park, with a fore hydrant and doggy poo bags and all. I am telling you, the owner/management does a great job. I highly recommend and will be staying there again, very soon. read more

Ok, there were a bunch of horrible reviews as of late. Those were under the previous management . There is a brand new management team (they started very end of March) that consist of a husband and wife team. Crystal is the manager and Paul is the head maintenance guy. It's a clean park, good laundry facilities, people are quiet and friendly. But the best part is Crystal and Paul . We are new camper owners and Paul has gone out of his way to help us. He even said if we need him after hours to just knock on his door! My only complaint is that the wifi is weak. Crystal is asking the owner for more WAPs throughout the park to improve on it. There is everything you could just about walk to. The Mexican restaurant next door is amazing and they serve alcohol! So, give them a chance and leave a good review if you can. read more

If you love constant roadway/freeway noise, Amtrak going by several times a day, fire engines and police sirens you'll love this RV park. They say no RV'S over 15 years or dilapidated RV's or RV's that can't run on their own but there so so many like that here that their requirements seem to be a suggestion versus a requirement. Their overflow or overbooking results in RV's being parked in front of the office and plugged in to the lounge which results in major congestion when entering the park and very unsafe conditions. The streets are very narrow and it's difficult to back in with a large RV due to all the cars parked on the streets. They only have 1 pullthru spot. The park is mainly fulltime residents and they have quite a few single wide old mobile homes. Some are well kept and others are down right nasty! The laundry room and restrooms are fairly clean for as much use as they get. The restrooms at the front of the facility also seem to get frequent use by folks wandering in off the street! The doors are suppose to be locked, but they are left open pretty much all the time. Also, if you come in on a weekend the office isn't open but if you have a reservation they you can just go to your spot. I gave it two stars because the monthly rate is the lowest in the County, but you pay for electricity after using so many kilowatts. For 50 amps you get a higher amount of kilowatts but it seems you still end up with an extra bill. They charge more for 50 amps vs 30 amps. That's normal for most parks. Anyway you get what you pay for and if you're looking for a high class park you won't be happy with this one. read more

We made reservations 3 months in advance for a site with full hook ups. When we called a week before our arrival, we were told that we had been moved to their overflow area because a long term resident had extended their stay. But not to worry because there were at least water and electric hook ups in the overflow area. I wasn't happy about this; they should have called to tell us that rather than it being a surprise. We arrived to find that we were assigned a parking spot (literally) in front of the office. They ran an extension cord to our RV from the office; they had us attach our water hose to a hose bib on the side of the building. That's what they call "hook ups". Electrical not sufficient to run our AC on the very hot days we stayed there. In all of the overflow area, there were no hookups at all. Electrical was a series of many extension cords all over the place. Also no dump station; when we left we had to sidle up to someone else's site to dump our tanks. The manager said "oh, they don't mind, we do this all the time". On the plus side, the managers were very nice and accommodating, as much as they could be. No sewer hook up meant we had to use their showers, but at least the bathrooms were clean. Some young people came in very late at night and were very noisy; management was quick to come out and quiet them down. The park is quiet overall; yes there is a train track nearby, also PCH which is busy. But that's just where they're located, nothing they can do about that. I wouldn't recommend this park, it really is for full timers only; nothing wrong with that; but they shouldn't advertise as having spots for short stays. It seems as if they let you think that, then when you arrive you are stuck because everything in the area is booked. When we stayed, there were at least a dozen RVs and trailers shoe-horned into their front parking lot, and you can't tell me that these were ALL bumped for that many long termers unexpectedly staying longer than anticipated! read more

Lived here for 2 years, was a wonderful experience. Great memories and great park. Management was easily accessible and accommodating, other residents made my time there even more enjoyable. A nice community read more

Evergreen rv park does not keep it word or contract We had a spot confirmation which came via email in march for reservation in may even extended our stay So received are second confirmation Two days before going I called to make sure everything was ok thinking nothing wrong they even called 3weeks before us coming to confirm they left message I returned there call stating we where looking forward to coming It wouldn't have been so bad the only reason we where staying in Oxnard was because are son and daughter in law need a place to stay cheap since they had flown in from Memphis for a wedding They sure screwed up are plans I will never go there read more

We stayed here long term and really enjoyed it! The spots were decent size and everyone gets a small concrete patio. Parking is tight if you have 2 vehicles but the neighbors are usually accommodating to fit both. Small dog area to let the dogs go to the bathroom. We will definitely be staying here again if we are in the area! read more

Thank you Evergreen Park for getting our power fixed you guys are awesome

As we saw on previous reviews, there has been a lot of trouble with reservations. I should have re-considered before making one. They only have two night which I have to move for each...and not the four nights they said they had. And I made the reservation yesterday! Terrible business and no real response except their computer was down for remodeling! DO NOT STAY HERE!!! read more

I was so disappointed in this so called RV park. It is really a trailer park with very few spots. I told the person on the phone I wanted quiet and needed easy access. Neither of these happened. I had to back in several spots to a corner that was very loud. Mark said a "you could hear a pin drop" but that may be in the corner of the trailer park. It is off Hwy 1 and so loud. The AMTRAK train runs right behind the park. There is no table in the spots. There is also an alarm that goes off every few minutes. Not sure where this comes from. Also someone let their dog poop in our area that was disgusting. Our sewer line would not reach, so we gave up. I am new at this RV stuff and this was SO DISAPPOINTING. It is very high priced for what you get. Beware!! You will not be happy. Must say the people at the park are very nice. read more

I stayed here on Dec. 2, planning to stay until Dec. 6 and paid for 4 nights. When I was shown to the only available site, I was appalled at the condition of it. There was a pipe coming out of the ground with loose wires exposed, the lid to the sewer site was jammed open and couldn't be closed and weeds were growing out of it. In fact, the entire site was overgrown with weeds and was plain trashy looking. Most of the rv-ers looked like permanent residents. I immediately returned to the office to tell Susan that I couldn't stay here. She sent Bruce to assess the issues I had mentioned and he pulled the weeds out of the sewer, said the wires were harmless, and told me when I hooked up my hose the hole to the sewer wouldn't be open. What?! Because it was nearly dark and I had nowhere else to go, I said I would stay one night but I would like a refund for the other three nights. Susan had agreed to give me a refund even though their stated policy was no refunds. Bruce assured me that she would refund the payment for the three nights I didn't stay. I spent a very uneasy night there because of the unsavory character of the site, the park in general and the neighborhood. As a woman traveling alone, it made me feel quite vulnerable. I've contacted Susan and Bruce three or four times and her latest response was to deny that she agreed to refund my money. She said she called "Corporate" and they stated that their policy was no refunds. I'm sure she didn't tell them that she verbally promised me a refund (which she now denies) because that would make her look bad. However, when I asked her for the name and phone number of the person she spoke to, she wouldn't give it to me. Another company policy. Bruce is a witness that she did tell me she would refund my money for the nights I paid for but didn't stay, but he probably will also lie. While I was in California, my Washington bank blocked all charges made in the state because of so many fraudulent charges. Now I know why. I would caution anyone against staying in this rv park because of the trashiness of the place, the overpricing, and the untrustworthy character of the management. read more

Horrible service. We had reservations to go there today and 2 hours before we were supposed to be there they call and tell us they are full. What kind of incompetent place cannot schedule their sites appropriately? Thanks a lot. Now we have to find somewhere else on short notice on Mother's Day weekend. We had this place reserved for a month. read more

I've been a resident here for about six months and have nothing but kind things to say about this park and its residents. The bathroom and laundry always seem well kept, and they recently upgraded the water system to improve the water pressure. I've seen some ongoing landscaping upgrades during my time here, and the management team is always helpful, be it needing quarters, or directions to one of many restaurants within walking distance. read more

Nice clean park. Spots are fair sized. The area at the front is the newest and most convenient to the laundry and provided showers. Towards the back it starts to become a little more "residential". A fair amount of semi-permanent trailers. managers are friendly and helpful. read more

Very tight spaces to get into and they're set up backwards as it used to be a mobile home park so if you have a big rig like myself it takes some maneuvering to get into. We were there 13 weeks due to work and saw lots of police activity, were told by management there had been lots of people getting their stuff stolen off their patios. Bathrooms lock up between 8pm-8am, only 2 bathrooms with showers for the whole park, lots of very trashy rundown mobile homes and RV's, no one is extra friendly by any means, they are also very expensive if long term. We had two trucks and 3 dogs we were charged $25 a piece for so our rent ended up being $900/month plus electric which the first month (November) was $145 and our second month was $225! So what you end up paying in electric plus rent, you could be at a 5 star RV Resort, I know because we were just at one that included everything for $1,125. Also, the train is literally a rocks throw across the street and the fire department as well so between that and regular trains plus Amtraks, it's constant. And if you leave early they do not pro rate rent, they give you a voucher. I promise you'll I'll never be back it was so bad. Walmart parking lot would've been better! read more

Evergreen RV Park - RV Parks Near Me - Oxnard, California

Very friendly community. Mainly permanent residents. We have a 40 foot fifth wheel with 5 slides, I would classify it as a "big rig". We were put in a spot that totaled maybe 43 feet. We had to have almost all the neighbors move their vehicles in order to get in and out. Again very friendly, but I struggle that this complex is meant for big rig access. We chose for the location. read more

They don't know how reservations work. my family scheduled a reservation but guess what? When we got there they were full. We have all the documents to prove it too. I would recommend Evergreen RV Park to anyone! We had a wonderful experience here during the college school year. The manager was a joy to work with over the phone and in person. staying at Evergreen RV park was an awful experience. I have spent about a year or so here and I can tell you that the park is clean for the most part but what really gets me is that it is NOT a kid friendly park. The owners and management of this park don't want the kids to ride bikes or skateboards because they are afraid someone will get hurt and they will get sued. The speed limit through the park is 10 mph, and it really should be 5 mph but it doesn't matter because just about everyone in the park treats it as if its the Daytona 500. If you are someone who likes walking your dog, I wouldn't because you have the chance of getting ran over by some careless person driving too fast. The management is more worried about whether you pick up the dog poop than the safety of its tenats. I won't recommend this place to the devil himself because of how the place is managed and owned. read more
