My friend was buying some plants for her garden, so I met her here. It's located in a warehouse/retail area. Nice clean store. She showed me the plants she bought. String of Turtles Succulent: Rare trailing succulents with interesting leaves resembling the shell pattern of a turtle. And...I can't remember the other name. She felt "the man was very helpful. He told her how to properly care for them since the last string of turtles was growing and fading in color."
IMHO I've been intrigued by Evergreen Farm's Facebook ads for a while and finally made my way over to their little store in an industrial business area in North San Jose. They're open on Fridays thru Sundays, 10 - 3. This succulent store is so cute, bright, and clean! Succulents and cacti are found in two brightly lit rooms with a huge assortment to choose from. I came looking for a wide variety of unique succulents, and I definitely found them here! 2-inch pots are $3, and 6-inch pots are $6. I grabbed a round plastic tray to collect my choices and happily went shopping! I chose 10-$3 pots of succulents plus two bags of premium succulent soil, $3 each. Heck, I figured I might as well give my new succulents the best chance to thrive with the premium soil! My friend chose her succulents after seeking some advice and information from the friendly owner. Our purchases were packed up with care, and we were genuinely thanked for coming by. If you're looking for a wide variety of beautiful, healthy succulents or cacti, then Evergreen Farms is your place!

Small shop with plenty of variety. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about succulent care. We bought 6 different plants in small 2" pots and the total came to be just under $20. I will come back here to expand my plant collection some time soon!
My daughter was begging to go to the K-Pop shop so we found this place by accident! I was delighted to see 2 full rooms full of succulents and Kmarts for sale! The price of each little pot was very reasonable at $3.

Must check Yelp before I drive next time . They still had a great variety and found out they are able to be open year round with this location. Their prices went up a bit, but it's ok. They have healthy looking plants in comparison to the big box chains.
Keep your eyes open. It's on the left hand side going down south in San Felipe. They have no signs or markers. Just a tiny rocky driveway. They do have lots of succulents. Prices are ok. They have it priced by size. Little ones are $3. I got 4 of them. So many to choose from and so cute. They are experts too and you can ask them any questions and they have an educated answer. Very nice folks running the place respect the friends as it here are some homes there.

I didn't realize it when I looked at the Yelp page, but this place is ALL succulents. Which made it the perfect place to go! It's not big, but the variety of succulents they have is amazing. I've never seen so many different types of cacti and other succulents. There is a vast selection big and small. Everything looks at peak health--all the succulents are so beautiful! The prices are fair, and if you're looking to diversify your succulent collection this is the best place I can think of to go. I went to get one cactus but ended up leaving with three and another succulent to boot.

I love it here! If you're looking around for a good variety of succulents to purchase, you can easily spend an hour here just deciding which ones to pick up. There are many tables under the tent. Good shade. Good warmth for the plants. So much variety! More than you would normally find in a plant shop. I just hope my plant babies survive, as I'm still somewhat a beginner gardener. There are about 7 parking spots. Check the hours before you go. Closes 3pm so I had to make sure to plan accordingly. Friendly people who work here. Happy to support a local family farm! Thank you.
I'm new to caring for plants. I was looking around for new plants and found Evergreen Farm is near me. They are located near Old Oakland/McKay tucked away in a commercial area. There is a good collection of rare succulents. I never had one before so I am starting off with a baby Echeveria. It caught my eye even though it had yellow leaves which the owner plucked away. She said it was normal for leaves to go yellow as it's growing. The Echeveria is one of the cat friendly plants. I had my cats sniff at it and they didn't care for it. Baby succulent will be safe :) What I found online, "succulents are beneficial for improving air quality, promoting a calming atmosphere, and potentially even aiding in stress reduction and boosting productivity. They also offer low-maintenance care, making them ideal for indoor environments." Closing up with it being a good size store located at the end of Ringwood Ct. Plenty of parking. Prepare to spend 30 minutes perusing around in finding your ideal plant. Owner is quite helpful with explaining on how to care for a plant and what to choose. I'd say it's a good starter plant for the beginning of a hobby and I'd say good for the kids to learn about nature. My first plant as a kid was a terrarium. read more

I'm a new plant parent with the hopes that I've inherited a decent percentage of my mother's green thumb. With the discovery of Evergreen Farm, it made me so excited to add more succulents to my growing collection! Due to COVID, they currently only offer delivery or curbside pick-up on the weekends. The website is well made as it's easy to navigate and order from. Many 2" and 4" inch succulents are available and the prices are so affordable!! Highly recommend following the family owned business on their Facebook page to keep updated on their announcements. I love how they have many photo posts to showcase their wide selection too. I'm positive that there will be unique and classic succulents to suit your tastes here! Plus, they can become the cutest gifts. Eager to make another order already! read more

It's quarantine day one hundredy eleventeenth and I like many others have diverted a large amount of attention to indoor plants as I too am basically a house bound vegetable. With a very small number of nurseries and quality plant stores in San Jose, I was delighted to find Evergreen Farm, a succulent specialist so close by and so well-reputed. After browsing their very clean and easy to navigate website www.evgfarm.com, I found these beautiful variegated string of hearts and variegated string of pearls and placed an online order. The process was very simple, and an email confirmation was sent shortly. Within a matter of hours, my order was ready. When approaching the farm, go up the slope and check to see if there is a car on the left in the curbside pickup area. If no, pull into the curbside pick up area. If yes, turn right and park in the lot until the pick up area is vacant. I really appreciate the thoughtful social distancing safety protocol and signage set up to make this an easy process. Now, the plants. I love these plants already, but I would be lying if I said I was not disappointed in what I received. The string of hearts was not a string as much as a few cuttings in soil, and the variegated string of pearls' color was not as prominent as the photo, and had only a single noticeably pink variegation I had to dig around to find. While I know plants are all different and the photo on the website is an example of what to expect, I felt that the plants I received were smaller/younger and less dense than what the photos showed. One star each for the great variety of succulents, the reasonable price point, the thoughtful safety protocols put in place, and the ease of order and pick up process. This is my first experience here, so it may be a fluke judging from all the other perfect plants others have received, but the missing star is for my personal experience. I will grow these babies and hopefully they will become what they were meant to be. read more

I have been wanting to go visit this place since two years ago. I have browsed through yelp pictures for the directions and pictures as well as looking in FB for their page announcements. I wanted to go but there would be other distractions and obligations that hinder me to go there. They are only open from Friday - Sunday only. So during the summer when I have nothing to do, I would ogle at the pictures and make inventories in my head as to what I would be looking and buying - eventually. It was only last weekend that I get to go drive up there and bring my daughter with me. It was an easy drive (for me) with the help of GPS. There was only a little sign by the road and if you are not looking hard enough you might miss it. It's actually a private home with a green house that houses these succulents. They are arranged by pot height and priced accordingly. There are many - like a lot!- of variations to choose from. They are arranged by likeness and even by color so if your thinking of making arrangements, it's laid out for you. They also sell pots and terrariums but the main focus is their succulents (and their peach tree which is brimming with wonderful fruits!) I am a sucker for succulents! LOL! read more

This is truly a hidden gem and I was in succulent heaven! So glad my friend mentioned this place. Easy to miss this nursery, a short dirt road leads up to it, house on premises. I was overwhelmed with the variety of plants. Brought my hubby to help me decide on succulent arrangements. They sell 2" , 4" , or 6" pots. I plan on coming back again! Been coming here pre-pandemic. Love that your business is still going strong and that you have an online store too! Tons of variety of succulents/cacti. Maintained well. Decent amount of parking for a home business. When walking around the area with the plants, the floor slopes downwards and there can be a little uneven grounding so do be mindful of your steps! Parking: There are about 4 spaces at the top (2 on the left side and 2 on the right). When you are first coming in, slow down, because there is another parking area on the right side that has much more spaces. read more
Such a great little find ! Since succulents are the new "In" thing, this place is amazing! Great prices, friendly service and an amazing selection! You could spend hours here looking at the unique plants and figuring how to arrange them. The staff is helpful as you make your selection. Everything is neat and organized. Starting at $2.75 and up, it is affordable to start your succulent selection. Tip- they are closing for the season mid November and reopening in March. read more

I had very high hopes for this place because of the reviews, however, I was disappointed by the succulent that they gave me. I bought a sedum clavatum, and was expecting it to look like the picture on their website, or at least similar. The one they gave me was very etiolated and had a lot of scarring. Besides that, their online ordering and curbside pick up is quick and easy. read more
A hidden gem in the evergreen area for your succulent needs! It's a cute, little family-owned farm with a wide selection of succulents. Highly recommend this place over Home Depot. For a small succulent, it's $2, which is a steal! There are also soil and pots available for purchase! Unfortunately, this place is closed for the winter, which makes sense. It's expected to open in March, so you can count on me making a visit to buy more succulents! read more

This place has the best selection of succulents and will now be my go-to place!! Never buying from The Man (Lowe's, Home Depot) again! I'm sad I only found out about them this week (from Facebook marketplace lol) since they'll close for winter on 11/18. Very affordable and the cheapest I've seen in the bay. $2 for 2" pots!! The selection is great and they have some that I've never seen before! They also have baby lithops for $3 right now. I've been looking everywhere for them this whole summer! They also have a small selection of pots and planters on the left. I just wish they had some house plants too then this would be my one stop shop! I just went there today and I'm already debating if I should go one more time before they close for winter. read more

This is hands down the best place to get succulents. I've been meaning to check this place out last year but the pandemic hit and they were closed for a bit... I took my nieces and nephew there last Saturday because we wanted to make something for Mother's Day coming up. As they say, it was well worth the wait. I LOVE SUCCULENTS!! Evergreen Farm was exactly what I was looking for. They have the most beautiful plants. With covid happening, I ordered online. No problems. Super easy. CURBSIDE PICKUP! I'm picky. REALLY PICKY. They chose the perfect ones. I'm beyond impressed. I can not say how happy I am with my new succulents. I'm sure I'll be back, SOON! Amazing family owned nursery. Wide selection of succulents, echeveria, crassula, some cacti in a nice outdoor shaded area. Everything was clean, neat. 4 in pots usually go for $5-6, some are $7. Rarer ones near counter sometimes $10 like Buddha's temple. They also sell pre arranged succulent pots that looked really unique and professionally done. My favorites: variegated bear paws, echeveria chroma, blue moonstones, Haworthia tessellata. There were very little adromischus but expected. read more

An advertisement for Evergreen Farm showed up on my Instagram feed and I had to check them out before they closed for the wintertime. There are no regrets driving about an hour to get here from the East Bay. Everygreen Farm is tucked away in the hills of the outskirts of San Jose. There was plenty of parking when I arrived at the base and I walked up to the garden area. When you enter, you come under a massive greenhouse filled with so many succulents. They range from 2", 4", and 6" pots 2" pots are a little over $2 ($2.25 I believe). There are also some specialty plants like decorative kale or bigger plants have been growing for some serious time for sale. What I love most is how every plant's section is labeled so you're not left guessing what they are. There are many sections for you to wander up and down to find the perfect succulents for your needs. They accept credit card here which is a huge plus, but do expect tax to be imposed on your purchase. read more
Yes, I've been riding on this succulent bandwagon for years now and I'm not getting off anytime soon. Located on private property along San Felipe Road. Once you pass Meadowleaf Court, it's the driveway immediately on the left with a tiny signage that says: 6784 succulents If you reach a long stretch on a two lane road heading into what seems like nowheresville, you've gone too far. I've done the trek for you. Turn back. I've bought my fair share of succulents from cheap I'm-going-to-experiment-with-and-propagate-you to way-too-expensive-please-don't-die-on-me. The ones here make me feel like I've lucked out. Evergreen Farm has both really affordable and rare small succulent babies for $2 and larger established ones for $5! Eat that Home Depot. They also sell Terra Cotta pots and soil if you can't wait to arrange your purchases until you get home. They have larger plants at variable prices, but I like them tiny. My succulents, that is. Really knowledgeable kind owners and a great selection of succulents for your terrariums or "going green" garden. Found this place while browsing through the marketplace on Facebook. I originally decided to check this place out due to the wide selection of succulents that they have and it's on the cheaper side as well! Finding this place was a bit difficult since I didn't know it was located in the owner's backyard. It's like a hidden gem! There is plenty of parking available. How I was able to spot it was seeing a large sign on their fence. Upon entering their greenhouse, I was greeted with a hello and was offered a tray for putting the plants that I wanted to buy. There was water mist watering the plants when I came in. Not only do they offer a variety of succulents of different sizes, they also have a succulent soil that is homemade! There's also pots that you can buy as well. In addition, they also have some cute cactus! read more
