As a plant daddy who loves filling his space with foliage and giving names to each plant. Plantlush has become my go to plant stores. Quality of their plants are on point and you can really tell everyone at the store share the same love for plants as I do. Each purchase here has been made with confidence because I've notice each plant survives once they transitioned into my home. I love stopping in to catch up with people at the store and always walking out with new member to the plant family in my home.
Did the Vines & Valentines event with my partner where we got to choose 2-3 plants and decorated them into a carved wine bottle. Everything was very organized and all the supplies are provided. It was very enjoyable and creative. The shop also has so many plants and Mercedes is so helpful with giving tips on how to care for our plants. Prices are very affordable and the plants we bought are still thriving thanks to her teaching. She made plant caring very simple and understandable. She is also a very friendly passionate individual. I had wonderful time browsing and shopping. I will definitely be back and recommend everyone to visit.
The owner is such a sweet lady! She is kind and very open. Teaches her workshop very well & is gentle with how she approaches each step. The store itself is gorgeous! Lushes plants, it's in the name! The plants are reasonably priced since they larger in size. She has some gems in that beautiful place!
Such a positive experience was had at PlantLush. Stopped in for a gift with a plant mom, so she knew exactly what she wanted. With that being said, Diego (stores rep) did a fantastic job walking her thru deciding which plant child she wanted to take home. He was very knowledgeable and didn't try to distract her with any bells or whistles. They have a huge selection and plenty of healthy projects to get into.
Plantlush is the kind of place that reminds you why shopping for plants in person is so satisfying. The store is overflowing with greenery--from petite houseplants to massive, sculptural ones that could transform a whole living room corner. Everything looks healthy, well cared for, and beautifully displayed. They've also got a fun collection of pots, planters, and little accessories that make it easy to style your finds right away. You can tell they take pride in keeping their inventory fresh and creative. I picked up a Zebra Plant (Aphelandra)--a striking beauty with deep green leaves and bold, patterned veins that practically glow under soft light. It's one of those plants that instantly becomes a centerpiece without trying too hard. Whether you're hunting for a statement plant or just want to browse among thriving greenery, Plantlush is a great stop for inspiration and quality. I'll definitely be back to see what new varieties they bring in next.
My wife and I were looking for a nursery in the area and we stumbled upon Plant Lush in Willow Glen! First off, such a beautiful ambiance and so many GORGEOUS plant babies that you can tell are loved and well cared for. Prices are very good given the quality, and theres a bunch of deals for 4 inch plants! We specifically went here to find pet-friendly plants and there was a whole labeled section for them that made it really easy to find what we were looking for. We also met the owner Mercedes who was so kind, attentive, and even took the time to spark conversation despite her being busy. (: she even took the time trim the plants i was buying and gave me tips on how to care for them. I will 100% be back and highly recommend this nursery for plant needs (: Thank you Mercedes!
Great environment, owners are super kind, plants are beautiful and healthy super well cared, at a very good price. We just loved that place and hope to return soon.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Plantlush. As someone who is newer to the plant world, I truly appreciate how welcoming, patient, and knowledgeable the team is. Every interaction has made me feel supported rather than overwhelmed. I recently purchased succulents in a wooden box, and when one unfortunately didn't make it, the gentleman who works alongside the owner, Mercedes, immediately reassured me that they would take a look and replace it. That level of care and accountability speaks volumes about how much they genuinely stand behind their plants and their customers. Mercedes and her team are incredibly friendly, approachable, and clearly passionate about what they do. I've done extensive research as I learn more about plants, and it's very evident that the plants at Plantlush are exceptionally well cared for. Their shop offers a huge variety and selection -- I've purchased ZZ plants, pothos, peace lilies, air plants, snake plants, and succulents, all of which have been healthy and thriving. I've visited many other plant shops around the Bay Area and have unfortunately noticed issues like spider mites, fungus gnats, and staff who weren't nearly as knowledgeable. That has never been the case at Plantlush. The quality, care, and expertise here truly set them apart. I will only be purchasing my plants from Plantlush moving forward. They genuinely care about plants, and it shows in every detail of their work. I'm slowly building my collection as I continue learning and working within the lighting limitations of my home, and I'm so grateful to have a plant shop I trust completely. Highly, highly recommend supporting this business
I happened upon Plantlush as I was on my way to another location in downtown Willow Glen. I was drawn in by all of the beautifully lush plants and I happened to be currently on the search for plants to fill my front courtyard. I ended up not buying a single plant (with lots of willpower) because they specialize in indoor plants. When I am looking for indoor plants this is the place I will be as they have an amazing variety of gorgeous plants that are beautifully cared for.
After going to numerous nurseries, I finally found two popular plants I wanted but were sold out at the other nurseries. Not only that, they had multiple of those plants. They all looked healthy and had flowers growing in them too. This is more of a boutique nursery, small but packed with a variety of popular plants. The prices are reasonable too, I've compared it to multiple nurseries. The owners were friendly and nice and taught us how to care for the plants. I'm coming back!
Over the last few years PlantLush has been our only go-to for anything plants- buying them, replanting old ones, questions about care, finding new pots etc. The main gal that runs the shop is truly genuine and always happy to help! We've bought over 15 plants and not one of them has died! (This is saying a lot for someone who has no green thumb!) From my partners office, to my office, to our home and even garage- they've all continued to thrive!
Did a terrarium making class and it was a lot of fun! Mercedes was a great instructor for our group and we look forward to displaying our beautiful terrariums!

I've been a loyal customer of Plant Lush since February 2023, when I first discovered their original spot on Santa Clara Street in downtown San Jose--thanks to my husband, who suggested we check it out. From that very first visit, this place stood out--not just for its beautiful selection of plants, but for the incredible knowledge and care behind it. Mercedes is truly the heart of Plant Lush. She has always been so generous with her expertise, whether I'm picking out a new plant or trying to troubleshoot something at home. You can tell she genuinely loves what she does, and that passion makes all the difference. When Mercedes moved the shop to a larger location in Willow Glen, I didn't hesitate to follow--and I'm so glad I did. The new space is even more inviting and has room for even more variety and creativity. One of my favorite memories here was celebrating my 40th birthday at the shop. Mercedes hosted a terrarium-making party for me and about 20 of my family and friends, and it was such a special experience. Everything was thoughtfully organized, fun, and completely unique--everyone left with something they made and loved. Plant Lush isn't just a plant store, it's a community space filled with warmth, creativity, and care. Highly recommend to anyone, whether you're a seasoned plant parent or just getting started. read more

After spending almost 30 minutes walking around trying to find some plants to purchase using a gift card I received a few Christmases ago, I was informed at the register that due to their system they were unable to redeem my gift card. It really seemed like the person helping me didn't know really want to help me redeem it, which was disappointing. Telling me to get in touch with the person who gave me the gift card to make them resend me the gift card just puts up a barrier to make me purchase that likely means I won't come back. Also I'm pretty sure it's illegal to decline a valid gift card with no expiration date in California. It's the burden of the business owner to keep good gift card records, not the customer. Update after previous review on another platform: What a disappointing reply from the owner of this business. Rose was literally standing right next to me, who did you think that girl was? We would've happily produced ID if asked for it, but I don't think that was the concern since we weren't asked. The "printed piece of paper" is clearly a plant themed paper gift certificate. Not that uncommon for a small business and it's been in my wallet for the last few christmases since I haven't gotten around to this, clearly for good reason. I own a business, that sells gift cards, if a customer has a gift card to redeem and I'm having trouble finding it/redeeming it, then the burden is on ME, not on the customer. The goal of any business is to lower barriers to purchase, not raise them. What if the person who gave me the gift card died? What if I don't talk to them anymore? What if they deleted their email with the receipt? There are so many scenarios in which it shouldn't be the burden of the customer to find the solution, it's on the business to do so. Mind you, the store was not busy, we were the only people in the store at the time. It felt in the moment, as it does right now, that the owner simply wanted us to leave as opposed to actually helping us redeem the gift card. The lack of customer service is astounding. read more

Went into plantlush today and haven't been there in months. I forgot I had a e-gift card so I decided to finally spend it. The staff are always so welcoming and helpful especially the owner she is so sweet we chatted for 15 minutes or so. Once I put in my phone number my gift card popped up in her system and she didn't even have to type in all the numbers or scan the QR code it was so simply. I can't wait to go back I love that shop! read more

I booked the "Our Love Language" terrarium building workshop as a Christmas gift for my fiancé and his parents, and we had an amazing time! Mercedes was incredible, walking us through the process and curating a really fun experience. We picked 4 plants, learned how to layer the sand/moss/soil, and got to bring our projects to life with a variety of rocks and decorations. Plus we enjoyed a complimentary glass of champagne while we worked! At $110 per pair, we felt it was an outstanding value and would absolutely recommend this class to anyone looking for a special experience to share with loved ones. We'll definitely be back for other workshops in the future! read more

IMHO Saw a new plant store while walking up Lincoln Ave. and had to check it out. I'm not an expert but it looked like it sold more houseplants than outdoor plants. I loved the cute dinosaur planters available in various colors. The store is beautifully merchandised and there are colorful wall murals in the back. I didn't buy anything, but I wasn't looking to buy, so I don't know how pricey the plants are. Yeah, I'll venture back the next time I'm in Willow Glen! read more

My wife and I love coming to Plantlush They have a wide selection, and all plants here are in great condition and well taken care of. There is such a great vibe in this place. My wife says coming here feels like therapy because she gets to be around all these plants that are thriving and gets to take one home at the end. Special thank you to Mercedes for always being so sweet to our daughter and super helpful to us, shes always there to answer any questions or give any tips. Without a doubt we believe this is the best plant store in San Jose and i would recommend this place to anyone whos is looking to add to their collection or even if you are just starting to get into plants read more
