They filed for bankruptcy just to open another business in his wife's name. They've done this before and they'll do it again. We gave him $90k in cash... and he walked away... we're out and now he's going to do it again. They just opened another business "Kona Pools LLC". They are scam artists and I want to expose them. If I don't get a single dollar back I'll be fine, but letting these monsters continue to take advantage of people is just despicable. We did business with Evergreen Construction, AKA ECS Pools, owned by Wilfredo Ramos Jr., loyal salesman Frank Pricer, project manager Trent Bacon and office manager Virginia Mendoza (Garcia). We contracted for a full backyard project, inclusive of pool. Payments were made as requested but the service ceased a few months in. We were given excuse after excuse but remained patient as the business owner conveyed an unfortunate circumstance. As a veteran, we held out faith that a fellow veteran would come through on his business contract. After nearly a year of being strung along, the owner filed bankruptcy and notified us by means of a letter from an attorney. Essentially we were no longer allowed to contact Will (Wilfredo) or any of his staff, regardless of the substantial amount of money he had collected from us. In a nutshell, none of the project was complete in its entirety. Here we are paying another company to finish "shoddy" work just to have a useable space. The most shocking and demoralizing fact is that his wife, CFO of the now dissolved company, Abigail Ramos, has opened a new business as of July 2023. Don't waste your time with this company. I requested a quote which I got a call back on pretty quickly and was set up for 11:0am on a Wednesday which is difficult but I can make work. Then I get a text later that same night to tell me it has been rescheduled for 6:45 the next morning. . . ON A WEDNESDAY!! Yeah, because no one has work they need to get to or anything. Didn't even receive a call to confirm if 6:45 was a good time for us. My husband and I both stayed home and extra hour to wait the guy AND HE NEVER FUCKING SHOWED UP!!! Super unprofessional and definitely not a company I want working on my house. UPDATE!! (1/14/20) So the owner of the company, Wil, contacted me about our bad experience and volunteered to come out personally and quote us and would "beat any competitors quote". I decided to give them another chance. He come out doesn't apologize once to my husband for the mix up making us both an hour late for work on what was supposed to be our original quote day. He also never asked my husband about the other quotes that he promised to "beat". In mid 2021 we hired Evergreen Construction for a backyard project. Right from the beginning they were very responsive and professional in their communication. It's amazing how many contractors won't even call you back to bid on a project. Evergreen Construction was one of only a handful that called back to discuss the project. We ultimately decided to go with them primarily due to their prompt communication and they seemed to understand what we were looking for more than the others. We worked through a few design iterations with their design team before we settled on exactly what we wanted and the final budget. The final price was fair, fit our budget and at the end of the project they were able to deliver exactly what we wanted without any budget over-runs. When the time came to begin, their team showed up right on time. Throughout the process we were kept up to date with what was going on and what to expect next. The team was very professional throughout the project and it was clear that they understood the level of quality expected. I observed them many times, checking and double checking that things were being done well. The final project clearly showed the level of care and quality that they put into their work. Had an appointment for 11:30 today to get a quote and at 11:40 someone calls to ask about the project and as I am talking she cuts me off and says "yeah, that sounds like a really small project..." I hung up before letting her finish. I'm sorry that I don't have a mega sized backyard but what I wanted to do in my yard will cost at least 16k so if that is pocket change for Evergreen Construction then yay for them. Otherwise. I called Evergreen on short notice to paint the interior of our new house in La Cresta...red walls and yellow walls - some yellow ceilings...someone's horrid idea of Sante Fe? The guys pulled up on time, had that red covered in no time, the yellow soon followed. They were professional and worked tirelessly. My husband was so impressed that he asked if they could paint the main house before the moving vans arrived (2 days). They did it, and even more impressive - they were not happy with two tiny areas, and are coming back to redo those areas post-move-in. As a retired architect I can recommend them whole heartedly, without reservation. Everyone was on their game from the estimator, the job foreman, to the painters themselves. Thank you all. Do not trust them. These people do not Annie's by their contract. Bryan came out gave us a quote on the work we wanted done, he came back with a an outraged number, just for labor, he keep and bugging trying to get our business and then we finally come to an agreement on the price, shook hands and he wrote up the proposal we signed it. Gave him a $1000 for a deposit which was more then 10%, at this point we're still happy and Bryan is assuring us that they are not like those other company's that rip you off, so we fill confederate with this company, we're thinking you know they are going to do a great job. Bryan keeps telling us we do it right the first time, he walked the job 3x's with 3 different "Forman" and said everything looks great. So we're thinking everything is going to go smooth. but nope before the first day he asked for $ 2000 to start, so ok. the first day only worked maybe 4 hours and left at noon. Then my wife and I get a phone call saying that he's forman Forman is pulling off the job unless we sign a new proposal for $4000 more then The original proposal that we signed. So they want $10000 just for labor, all the material was on sight already prior to them starting. Bryan basically threatens us trying to get more money from us . So that was the last we heard from Bryan never returned multiple phone calls or texts and pulling out of a contract signed by the both of us. We tried going to the office but the address listed for the company is not their office. The lady in the office took down our complaint and got back to us the following busssines day saying that they can void their own contract and refuses to give us a refund. These people will start your work making you think your getting a good price and quality work but once they start they'll ask you for more money and pull off the job if they don't get it. I met Johnny originally to get a quote very professional young man for a large job which was painting my cabinets and stairwell and throughout the house, flooring throughout my house, countertops in my bathrooms, backsplash and fireplace and last but not least they built an entertainment system for my living room and a cabinet for my bar area. My house isn't small either 3,345 sq ft and they had it completed in in 6 weeks left it clean everyday after the job was done. The crew they had was very respectful to your privacy since I work from home. They were here for so long I consider them as family. Will, the owner took measurements and gave me a verbal quote. His company already had my email, and I received a written quote that night. We arranged for a walk thru with his foreman they showed up at 7 like they said. The foreman took his own measurements, an provided his assessment. Will, told me 3 days from start to finish and he hit his mark. His guys were here Tuesday thru Friday. I would highly recommend this company for your concrete / masonry projects. If I could rate them below one star they would be at negative 5 or worse. Stay away from this below subpar contractor, unless you are okay with terrible work, communication, and workmanship. Our backyard project started at the beginning of June 2020. Almost November now and it is still incomplete. From the start of the project Tim the salesman projected the project would take 5 business days. He will say whatever it takes to get you to sign a contract including lies. Before signing they set up a job walk to inspect the current conditions and go over the scope of work. During this time they introduced us to one of the owners Will, the foreman Lazaro who was later allegedly fired for stealing , and the "project manager" Ana who is virtually non-existent and incompetent to put it nicely. They made us pay 50% of the project total upfront, almost $15k to secure material that was never ordered. Not on time or the correct material that is. It's November now and we are still waiting to hear on the some of the material arriving, some of it possibly not even ordered. When trying to contact the "project manager" it either goes ignored, you are given a baseless excuse, or empty apologies. From the beginning of the project it has been problem after problem due to their lack of communication, coordination, and planning. They have caused so much emotional distress in our lives and have disrupted our work and personal lives. We just want this project to be completed and completed to the specifications outlined in the contract and get them out of our lives. Worst company to deal with ever, they did my landscaping, installed plants, trees and sod. They put in irrigation and it wasn't long after they were finished I noticed a section of my yard starting to brown up. Also had some shrubs die on me and a Magnolia tree die as well. I called them and spoke with a Ana who is extremely rude, she said they would get someone over to check things out. Well a few months went by and still nothing and now the section of my grass is basically dead. I called Ana to see what the status is she told me that the 30 day warranty has run out on the Magnolia tree, shrubs and grass but she would send someone to check out the irrigation on the section that has died. I do not recommend them for any work, the crew seemed to pulled from my project to do other projects and then I was told it was due to COVID. Funny after being gone for a few days and I asked the crew how they are feeling they would say fine, I was told you weren't feeling well to their reply they said they weren't sick.
