We just purchased a new home and after 2 weeks we were getting water pooling in the unfinished part of our basement. We called a waterproofing company, said "they were the most honest and had the best product". The guy proposed digging around the entire inside of my basement and then putting up a barrier paper. Was going to cost $34,000. However if we would do some advertising they would take it down to $24,000. Thank goodness we did not sign! We called EverDry and Fred came to our home. Did a very thorough inspection, said what the other guy told us did not make sense, that if what he said was true our entire basement would be wet. He said he wouldn't leave until he figured it out. Well after about 10 minutes he found that our water softener had two hoses that are supposed to go in the sump pump and only one was. He fixed it and we have not had any water since. Note to self (Read more reviews) My experience with everdry has been anything but satisfactory. Great pre-sale talk and in theory the program sounds doable. In reality, for the salesman who doesn't have to do the actual work, "nothing is impossible". My everdry system was installed in the fall of '22. In '23 they were back out to fix the issue. The issue was, I had the same leak in the same spot as before. After some tweaks to the installed system I felt better. Alas, it was apparently just that '24 being dry enough. A couple more times in '25 they returned for the same leak. And so far in '26 a visit after a Jan, Apr, Jun leak (yep, same one). I did a follow up call this morning as I hadn't received any status/update of the workorder they were going to place on Monday. Today I was told July 23 was next available appt. I told them this was entirely unacceptable and they countered with, if we have an opening we can try to move you up. Just a suggestion from an unsatisfied customer, hire more help. 20K and 3 years of warranty payments to still have the same issue. This warranty with these results seem almost scam-ish. I'm not sure how anyone involved can think this is OK. With the number of failures they have, perhaps less sales and new install teams and more to actually follow behind and continue existing projects to a successful completion. My latest workorder on Monday was to also include some contact from someone in management to discuss "the customers" frustration with their inability to actually keep water outside. I assumed the basic premise of what they do. But so far it feels more like (N)everdry. Some of the work crews have been very solid and I appreciate their efforts. Even though the results haven't been good. Based on my experience, I can't recommend everydry. I'd go as far as to recommend anyone with a water problem shop around. Our house had this system in it when we moved in 5 years ago. They have been responsive and courteous. And I have to tell you, I've had a house with seepage issues in the past and I love hearing my sump pumps run with the snow melt and rain we've had. We have a useable basement. Please read before you buy. I went with Everdry because of their warranty and high reviews. There were similarly priced competitors that used more expensive materials, but the warranty was nowhere near as good. I now regret using them due to numerous issues with poor workmanship and a lack of responsibility. Within days of the completed install I had water coming into the basement from multiple locations. I also had a leaking sump discharge pipe. The repairs involved caulking leaks and wall cracks on the visible parts of the inside wall and above grade outside of the walls. The service person advised they would not return and re-excavate the exterior to address the leaks. They blamed the issue on leaking vinyl siding without ever inspecting it. Even after being advised of numerous contractor inspections where I was able to confirm there were no siding issues with my 11-year-old house. They refused to make further repairs without me exposing the entire interior wall of my finished basement. The external leaking sump pump pipe issue could not be resolved by them after two service trips, and they refused to make further attempts and told me to contact another contractor. Most recently, I discovered via inspection camera that their in-floor drain tile had failed and filled with stone. They attempted to clear the stone with a blowbag without success. They returned and jackhammered the floor to make repairs. Upon removal of the failed pipe, it was discovered no pipe coupler was used to make the connection. Instead, the pipe was cut horizontally numerous times and pushed into another pipe of the same diameter (see photo). The trench stone entered the pipe at the slits in the connection. I hired a plumber with a longer inspection camera who observed numerous uncoupled and horizontally cut connections throughout the system just waiting to fail. The pipe was still full of stone after the repair. They returned and jackhammered the floor a third time and the floor in an adjacent room for the second time to make repairs. The flooring and walls had to be removed from these finished areas for repair. It was then discovered by running a camera in the pipe during repair that they installed a damaged pipe with two large holes under the floor allowing more stone to fill the pipe. After observing the failed pipes; one with horizontal cuts and no coupler and the other installed with two large holes. I asked for them to take responsibility for repairing the walls and floor of my basement due to a bad install. I also advised of many other issues I could not fit in this review. They refused by referring to the contract and stating they couldn't be sure it was a bad install. There was no way for me to prove the pipe was damage or installed incorrectly. This was despite clear disregard for manufacturers standards, my and their own employee's statements, eyewitness accounts and photographs. They have now, after over two years offered to return and fix the wall leaks from the outside by re-excavating. As of now they still refuse to repair my walls and floors. I understand the contract requires the owner to make the area accessible and then repair the same, but the damage was caused by poor workmanship and installation. A bad installation and poor workmanship should certainly be an exception to their contract. Update: I learned yesterday that no permits were pulled for any of their work or construction/ plumbing inspections done. I am now facing fines from the township. Based on a lack of coupler use the company also did not follow plumbing code or the manufacturers specifications. read more

If you're looking to have your basement waterproofed, I highly recommend you look ANYWHERE else other than our local Everdry franchise. After spending too much money to get their system installed and our basement finally (or so we thought) finished, turns out their incompetence nullified the entire system by plumbing it incorrectly. On top of that, now they won't do the right thing and pay for any of the damage that their ineptitude created. We simply asked for them to cover the $4,200 bill it took to dry out our basement. Just so you can have this image in your mind: we had to tear out our brand new (I'm talking less than a year old) carpet padding, have 3 giant industrial humidifiers along with at least 4 fans for about a week. We aren't asking for all the damages, simply what it took to dry it out because that was hands down their fault. Not to mention the damage to the drywall, base boards and laminate flooring that will be replaced. Yes we have insurance, no it will not cover it. It would if they were an ethical business and covered the portion that they created. Instead, Everdry states it was a pipe that froze. We have pictures and written statements stating this was not the case and in fact, the only fix was to correctly plumb it, which has now been done. The only helpful Everdry representative that came to our house understands we are not asking too much and tried to advocate for us but was ultimately told no. We did everything right here. I am SICK of corporations thinking they can walk all over the little guy because we won't stand up for ourselves. I want to be clear, that will not be happening this time. I will continue to fight this and I will continue to let everyone I know how they refuse to take responsibility for their problematic plumbing. Our lawyer has been notified and I will NOT back down until they back their product. This isn't just a rant because I am at my wit's end with this basement. This is a warning to anyone out there. If you use EverDry, make sure you get your own plumber to come and certify the work that they finish, because I would be even more devastated if this were to happen to someone else. They did not even ask if I was married or who owned the house or who would make the decision about work. I had water coming in my basement every time it rained even a little. I believe over time the mold and mildew it created were so severe that it was causing health problems for myself and especially my wife. We had Everdry waterproof our basement after the last downpour that put what seemed like a small river through our basement.They were courteous, professional, on time each day and very careful of our landscaping, which was very much appreciated. The basement is now finished, we have more usable space and low and behold my wifes allergies are more under control than she could have hoped for. The basement seems like a whole different place since Everdry was here, the rain is of no concern to me anymore other than to gauge when i need to water my lawn next. My wife and I live in Grand Rapids Michigan and we hired Everdry to waterproof our basement. I'll write this using the kindest possible words; Everdry is a complete scam! Don't take my word for it, Google them! You will get some interesting reading from former customers. I would give them a negative number if I could. Sure, they will sweet talk you to make a good first impression. After that contract has been signed however, you are their bitch! They will cancel and reschedule service appointments over and over when you need them to come to your home to repair their defective "workmanship". That's just the beginning. Please, don't be taken by these con artists like so many others have. Knowing what I know, I would hire my dog or cat to waterproof my basement before I would hire Everdry again. Called and scheduled an appointment for about a week out. They never showed up the day of and then called me that evening asking me if we were good for the next day instead. I said that was fine. Then asked me if both me and my spouse would be present and said that their policy requires both be present. My wife has a super busy schedule so it would have been really difficult for her to be there. Not to mention, why would you even have this policy? You really want to lose business over a dumb policy like this? They absolutely will not come over if both spouses are not present. Bottom line they wasted about a week of my time so now I have to schedule with another company. You might do a great job on-site but your customer service clearly sucks. we had everdry come in and inspect our basement around 10 years ago, the salesman was a very good snake charmer, he pointed out parts of our basement that were crumbling needed attention, one corner was in a stage 4, about ready to buckle in, we needed to have them come in yesterday, our walls were that bad, and it would take care of the musty smell and spiders, he started out with quoting 15k plus change, we thought that was way to high for the work he was describing that they were going to have to do to "Save" our basement, now mind you we had half the basement finished, nice paneling, carpet, drop ceiling, the area he looked at was in a small closet we built for the water meter and storage area, we got them to come down to 11k and said yes, all went well for a short, after they were done, about a year later my wife was noticing a smell coming from the basement, and it was feeling damp, we called them in and they could not find anything wrong and left, this has been a on going event to this day, the one plus i can give them as by paying the yearly warranty they did come out and replace a pump and later a check valve, now for the bad part, they told us that we needed to remove the carpet so that they could inspect the floor for any water leak to see if that might be where the smell and musty feeling was coming from, mind you we had our carpet professional installed, so taking it out ment taking it all the way out and getting rid of it, we did, guess what, no leaks, then they said we needed to wash our walls with vinegar on the unfinished side to see if that would take care of the problem, guess what, it didn't, now they tell us we need to take down the paneling so they can look at the walls in the once finished side of the basement, i was not a happy camper, i did take down a couple of sheets, saw nothing, then i just said the hell with it and took down them all, now our once finished side of a basement is now just a shell, the smell is still there and now we discovered a crack in one side, had them come out and said they could fix it for $1200, warranty does not cover this, it was caused by the earth contraction and expansion with the past winter we had, now to me this is caused with moisture, now thinking to myself, with there system installed isn't that suppose to divert water away from the walls so that this doesn't happen, so just asking anyone who might read this, if they might have a answer for me, thanks read more
