We are coming up on one year of having our basement waterproofed by Everdry. We have had nothing but more problems. They have been to our house 8 times and my basement is still collecting water. They put pipes underground for the sump pump and now my field is flooded. I hade a production manager here on July 8th who assured me they would call me by noon on the 9th. It is now the 14th and have had no phone calls or communication. The Columbus Ohio office has no idea how to do their job. If you invite Everdry into your home expect pushy sales tactics and the choice of three options to fix your basement, all of which are +$25,000. Not to mention that the salesman presenting these options is just that, a salesman, not a structural engineer. My wife and I signed up for their "bread and butter," "patented," Multi-Step option. After reading some lovely one star reviews from yelp and google, everything made sense. We canceled our contract well before their 3 day window and again salesmen came to our house to change our mind. We obviously didn't fall for it but are on day 18 of waiting to receive a refund for our deposit even though their contract states we would receive it within 10 days. Please don't fall for their tactics and get an opinion from a structural engineer rather than a salesman when it comes to fixing your basement. read more

Had Everdry come out approx 2 years ago after some flooding in our basement. After coming out and remedying the problem there were no incidents for a year. After heavy rain a year later, water come in from areas that weren't previously waterproofed by Everdry. After calling and telling them my situation, they were quick to have someone come out and figure out the problem areas. Since coming out a second time we have not had any problems. We bought our house April 2018 with the EverDry system in place and received a bill of $40 from Everdry for an 'Annual Waterproofing Warranty Renewal' every February which we paid. The sump pump went out and the battery backup was dead so the basement flooded November 2020. The EverDry serviceman replaced the sump pump and installed a new battery pack and charged us one thousand dollars saying the battery pack warranty had expired. The new warranty is only good for five years after which if the same situation occurs we will apparently have to pay for another battery pack. Do not believe the old Gary Sullivan Val Pack ad saying "Do it once, do it right, do it permanenly". read more

If you expect quality work out of this company, Do some research before you go hiring them. I was originally consulted in March for a free estimate. The salesman was polite, kind and easy to talk to. We sat outside at a table in my back yard and discussed things about the company and about what my intentions were. He donned his gear and went down into my crawl and took some pictures and explained to my wife and I what and who Everdry was. I knew they were a reliable contractor and from what he explained and showed us, I was thrilled to have such a good company to work on my house. I saw amazing pictures of the9ir work, and found out that they primarily do basements but crawlspaces are still in their scope of work. He went over the levels of work they perform and we all agreed that with the condition of the home the multi-step system was best.  He calculated out the price at $21,432. I was hesitant and he said he could put me on a call ahead list and it would drop it to $18,732. and he could get the payment with zero down somewhere in the 160-180 range no problem. That didn't happen. I decided not to do it. Well Persistent Fred kept reaching out to me and agreed to get my payment in that range. So I agreed to the job. It took until May 19th to get a crew out to my house. The crew shows up. Pants at their knees, trash falling out of the truck and lottery tickets covering the window on the passenger side. High caliber people.They show up around 9 am and left somewhere between 11-1130am to go "finish another job." They tacked down vapor barrier with hand tools and rocks all around my house. (Not something I want my kids to be messing with) May 20, They worked for about 6 hours. read more

So I paid over 20,000 to have my basement waterproofed at the beginning of March. It still got water in it so they came back. It still got water in it. Then they couldn't come back for 3 months. When they did they installed a drain that prevents the garage door from closing. This allows bugs in and the air conditioning out of the house. An 80 year old woman lives in this house and they can't get back out for a week and that's just a supervisor not someone who can do the work to fix the problem. This is not okay by any means and if they are this busy they need to turn down a few job so that they can do the ones they do well! read more

The salesperson utilized textbook persuasion and advertising methods. The company starts with a extremely high estimate. During the estimate, the salesperson doing the inspection will get a call from a production manager saying they had excess material and drop the price by about 33%. which, "Is only good for today" Once you say no, they will call you back in a few days and say the warehouse manager looked at the pictures they took and can get you a "much lower rate". They may do a good job, but I don't want to do business with a company that tries to take advantage of me. read more

Contacted Everdry to quote leakage we have been having in our basement.(known issue as with most houses in Cincy) The "structural engineer" came out and performed test and walkthrough.(took 1.5 hrs) Similar to most experiences, offered a high price of $18k to perform the job, then said if we signed up immediately it would be $14k due to a "Coronavirus Special." In addition, proceeds to tell my wife and I how financing works and we would never be able to get an interest rate lower than 6%.(laughed as the stock market has plunged 25% in the previous 4 weeks) Called 2 days later to say they would be able to reduce the price due to "high inventory of materials." Couldn't give a price over the phone even though someone has already walked through and they would have to send someone else back to check out again. Hard pass, these guys apparently prey on the weak for their margins. Avoid the upfront nonsense and go somewhere else. read more

I got my basement done with everdry and they were very nice and professional. They cleaned up after themselves and we're very aware of any messes and made sure to cover everything with plastic. They were very friendly as well and willing to please. I have a old stack in my basement that at no fault of Ever Dry was leaking. They said it may have started leaking worse because of the jackhammering and without hesitation replaced that part of my stack. Along with other things they went above and beyond to please me as a customer and I would recommend them to anyone. Dodged a Bullet! Similar to other reviews, both my husband and I had to be present for the formal presentation which included a walk through of the basement and exterior of our home. During the end when we started discussing options, the "estimator" (AKA Salesperson) came up with three different solutions which would cost $22,000. When we said we wanted to think about it...similar to other reviews, the salesperson said we could sign up for the 'standby' list and knock $4k off if we committed TODAY. No. Our problem is not significant enough to require that extensive work, but we felt pressured to committing to a huge expense without having time to think about it. Also talked about a patent for a 'multi system' plan that only Everdry can use... In looking into that Patent it's expired. Was spoon fed a bunch of lies and felt very uncomfortable with the high pressure technique to close the sale immediately. RUN ! read more

My wife and I bought a house in 2016 only to find out that it had serious water issues in the basement. We always wanted to finish a basement and make it our own, we quickly researched companies to help give us peace of mind. After reviewing four different companies, we trusted Everdry's approach to attack the problem from multiple possibilities where water could happen. We didn't want to take a chance and knew the Everdry name was reputable. It wasn't cheap, but it was worth it. We had one hiccup in the beginning where the job wasn't fully cleaned up, but they came back and did what we requested. We've had some nail biting rains remembering what we went through tearing up wet carpet before Everdry, but now we don't even check on the basement after a storm. It's been incredible! I was hesitant to call after seeing some of these reviews, but after checking some other sites I decided to give Everdry a chance. The salesman showed up ten minutes early and never once did I feel any kind of pressure to make a decision on the spot throughout the entire inspection. We decided to sign a contract with them because of their reputation and also because of the fact that we werent pressured. After waiting about 6 weeks, it was finally time to have the basement waterproofed. The crew that showed up last Monday was absolutely terrific from the beginning of job until the end. Wow they work hard! Great job Isaiah and crew! I wanted to wait a few days to make the review because of the rain, but we are completely dry after 4 days of nonstop rain upon completion of the job. What a huge relief!!!!! Its such a great feeling knowing that I do not have to worry about water coming in after it rains anymore, especially the way it rained all week. After dealing with Everdry, I can honestly say the reviews on here arent 100% accurate. Make sure you give them a chance. We were purchasing a new home and one of the selling points was the Everdry Cincy waterproofed basement with lifetime warranty. The basement was leaking during our inspection and the seller had Everdry come back and do warranty work to repair the leaks. A few months after closing we had heavy rain and water began surging up through the floor drain in the basement. We contacted Sanitation District 1 and an emergency technician responded. They informed us the sewer drains were wide open but it appeared the Everdry system was tied into our sewer line which was a code violation. The basement flooded wall to wall of the foundation reaching 18 inches high. The flood ruined all of our appliances, all of the boxes that contained our kids memories, my deceased father's military shadowboxes, and thousands of dollars of contents. After calling Everdry they sent out a supervisor that denied using the sewer drain, but could not show us where the water was being discharged to outside the house. They agreed to come out and install a new sump pump in our garage but refused to cover any of the damages. We contacted Jolly Plumbing who were awesome. They sent out a technician that brought a pipe camera system. They ran a camera through the Everdry lines and found where they were tapping into the sewer drains. I sent the video to Everdry and they are still denying any responsibility. I have hired an attorney and we are following their policy for arbitration, but they are slow to respond, delay service calls for two months, and still have not corrected the floor drain issue. Every time it rains the water collects in our floor drain and depending on the intensity, floods the basement. With every bit of evidence showing they cut corners, violated code, multiple videos and documentation from other companies, they still refuse to own their mistake. It's obvious not a company with a strong ethical foundation. We have lost items that are not replaceable. Children memories and family keepsakes can not be assigned a dollar value. All of our appliances, mold and drywall damage, can be assigned a dollar value. When you make a mistake, you own it. As a business owner myself, it's why we have insurance. Make a wrong right and customers will understand. Lie when faced with video evidence and documentation, you lose all credibility as a professional company. I highly recommend you use one of the many other waterproofing companies. read more

After deciding to finish the lower level of my home, I was seeking info on waterproofing our foundation. I had water that would penetrate through the foundation when it rained. I had a company come out and perform a scope of work that they diagnose the issue to be. The issue grew worse. After three attempt to resolve the solution, no answer came to fix the problem. I then called Everdry Waterproofing. I was promptly scheduled for someone to meet with me and my wife. Our whole lower level floor and foundation was inspected. We then was given a detailed options to remedy our issue. The lifetime warranty was explained to our benefit. The scope of work was completed within a week by professional and knowledgeable techs. Currently in progress: if you want a company to sell you a great system then have a crew show up and do half assed work, then this is the company for you. First, they tried to get out of digging the trench by stating that there was already one dug around my home. We let them know that there has never been one. They finally started to dig and imagine that, no previous trench. We were quoted a system that would include mastic and plastic on the exterior along with gravel, pipe and then back filled to further prevent water from coming into the home. This was also confirmed by the supervisor (Xavier) that stopped by to check on the crew. What we received was a strip of mastic to hold the plastic to the wall and plastic. They said it was an "upgrade." Less product and less work just sounds like convenience to me. Oh and let me throw in that mastic must stick to dirt because it wasn't removed from the wall as suggested by the sup while onsite. Extremely disappointed with my $17,000 investment. read more
