But I really wanted something a little lighter and healthier. Toastique was the perfect alternative. It was a min walk from where we were. The dining area is clean and modern with a calming, natural color palette. It makes you want to linger with free Wi-Fi and complimentary ice water (in the jug that has citrus floating in it). We were immediately greeted by the manager owner. It's a seat yourself and order at the counter set up. We hadn't grabbed a menu when we came in and the owner intuitively brought menus to our table. We ordered the avocado smash toast, the Blue Mystique smoothie bowl, and the Greek toast. Service was quick and they brought it out to our table. Each item came out looking beautiful, fresh, and delicious. I sampled the 'cure' cold pressed juice and now I feel like I need to go back to get a bottle to go. Excuse the pics, I always forget to take the pic first when the food comes out looking good, lol. I found the prices to be very reasonable for what you get compared to other "fresh food" fast restaurants. Definitely put this place on your list as a chill place to catch up with friends or to set up your laptop for some work while enjoying a variety of yummy fresh food choices. Oh, I always like to note when places have single stall unisex bathrooms and they did. The service quality and flavor is always my primary motivator when deciding where to eat. They also have bowls and other options. Inside is very clean and neat and minimalistic/modern decor. I also love the location here in a busy new shopping/living area with some other shops and things to see and do. We walked around for a while exploring the area and had a great time. Had my daughter so had to run right outside to my car for her milk and came back to wait. Saw the owner giving the pineapple on a stick to the two girls in front of me with their smoothies. I asked the male behind the counter and he was extremely rude to me and said they're $1.78 each and I said "Oh, I thought you gave them with the smoothies" pointing to the two people IN LINE who had not ordered yet. He was really rude and almost aggressive about it and said "NO - $1.78". I've never had this experience here. I've ordered dozens of smoothies here and this is a first. The dulce banana didn't taste any banana as well. The food was delicious though. The quesito heated up was warm, flaky, sweet and salty all in one. The lemon blueberry mascapone cake was definitely a light summer bite. I'd stop by again but would ask how much the specialty drinks are before choosing. The staff was friendly and patient.
