Lissa is the absolute best! We got married 2 weeks ago and I can't think of one thing I would have changed. We live on the mainland and I was apprehensive planning a destination wedding, but with Lissa on the job, I had no worries in the world. Words cannot describe how wonderful she is. Lissa went above and beyond to cover every single detail. Lissa is thorough, PATIENT, prompt, responsive and knows her stuff.
In Feb, we flew to HI to check out venues. As soon as I met her, I knew she was the coordinator for us. Her emails are great, but Lissa really exudes warmth and professionalism in person. Lissa made the best suggestions and I was over-the-moon pleased with every single person on her team... Our florist Todd from Always 808 Flowers did a beautiful job from matching red rose petals on the ground to beautiful and oh-so-fragrant bouquets/boutonnieres/leis. Sri, Russ, and Rain are this wonder family who have this amazing combination of creativity, technical skills that you want as your photographers. And they're quite a beautiful trio too! Lissa's assistant Lynn also was great. Bless her for walking up the aisle at rehearsal pretending to be our stuck-in-traffic Best Man. Our minister Kimo was absolutely perfect. He's eloquent, mindful of the views for our photographers and guests, great at giving my hubby and me signs and gestures of what's coming next. Even the trolley driver Lance was funny and cool!
Here are just a few examples of how fab-u-lous Lissa is:
1) Kudos to her for putting together a meet and greet for us with Todd and Sri the day after Valentine's day. We literally stopped by Todd's store on our way to the airport to fly back to Cali.
2) Up until the wedding, Lissa spent so much time emailing us back and forth. She really thought of everything. Lissa sent us links, instructions for getting our Hawaiian marriage licenses in order. She even knew the city's Friday furlough schedule (which ended in July). Lissa sent us housing options for our guests.
3) When one of my out of town bridesmaids needed her dress shortened, Lissa had a seamstress on speed dial for her.
4) For the sand ceremony, Lissa found these beautiful nautilus shells for us to use. It was such a pleasant surprise to see that waiting for us.
5) Lissa even suggested places for us to go out during the evenings and for fireworks for July 4th.
If you are thinking about getting married in Oahu, please give Lissa a call or email. You won't regret it, because I don't. My new sister-in-law is an event planner for a huge global corporation and even she was impressed by Lissa's work.
Lissa masterminded my dream wedding (all at a reasonable cost) and I am forever thankful to her for working so hard for us. read more
