Terrible workmanship. My wedding was almost 2 years ago and he still hasn't given me the wedding albums. Everything was a money grab with him. I absolutely regret hiring him. We got married a couple of weeks ago on August 20th, 2022. Choosing Events Capture was one of the best decisions we could have made for our wedding weekend. This is a review worth reading. I rarely leave bad reviews and left great reviews for our other vendors. We got married a couple years ago and keeping this review anonymous for obvious reasons. To be frank, Harry is not an honest guy and I'm pretty he is going to comment below here saying that I've never been a customer just to save face and invalidate a bad review, very common tactic he does. I would say photography is the most important part of the wedding because these are the memories that last. Overall hiring a photographer you work well with and trust is everything. Harry will go to any extent to sell you on that and gain your trust initially, but completely does the opposite the day of your wedding causing unnecessary stress. For starters, the advertised photos he has at his office is NOT what you will actually get and EC will not capture the shots you want and the editing will not be what the glamours shots he advertises, so beware of that prior to hiring. Secondly, he didn't even show up at our wedding day or the whole weekend, you can imagine how stressful that was for us and I was non stop texting him and no answer. He sent his associates who have never been to the venue, how ridiculous is that. When making the video, his team didn't even use all the songs and took matters in their own hands and chose songs of their likings, which is unheard of. Long story short, I wish we would have gone with another photographer but unfortunately we can't go back in time and fix things. I'm sure Harry is a nice guy outside of weddings, but poor customer service, you definitely see his true side the day of your wedding. The fact that DJs and other wedding vendors use photographers other than Events Capture says something and the fact he has complaints on Better bureau business speaks quite a bit. We were really excited about using Events Capture for our wedding based on their previous work and referrals, and chose them in the first place because they seemed to be offering a better/cheaper deal, but we have learned our lesson - you get what you pay for!! I am really APPALLED at the organizational and staffing issues here. It seems that when an editor leaves, it is a huge process to restart the editing project as opposed to picking up where the previous editor left off....and if the secretary is out for a week or two, apparently there is no one to cover her or at least respond to emails/phone calls/voicemails. The secretaries are nice and do try their best to stay on top of things, but sometimes there is simply no communication until you contact EC, and then they feel the need to tell you something went wrong. Harry is incredibly incompetent and when I met with him and left him a message on Facebook, he did not seem apologetic or remorseful in any way for his or his company's lack of professionalism, quality, or customer service. My wedding was almost 2 years ago now and I have been dealing with this ongoing headache which is taking time away from enjoying married life. Just a few of our complaints: - We had a list of family photos to take at the church after the ceremony and some of the pictures from my side are missing...I don't know if they weren't taken or if they got lost but it's really upsetting to not have family pictures for ours and our parent's albums, especially when they are direct relatives. Pictures from my husband's house (with his FATHER) are missing also. - There was "miscommunication" with the team that worked on our day, so they did not have our table number cards or our posters to display at our reception...products that were in our contract and that we had paid for to be used the day of the wedding....after the wedding we have no use for them so this definitely took away from the overall personalization of our wedding. - We sent them the songs for our DVD 2 weeks before the wedding, when they had requested them. However after the event they kept insisting that our project would be on hold until after we sent them the songs. Since they were sent in advance, it's obvious they lost it.....some organization would help this company GREATLY. - Since they forgot our cards/posters, Harry said they would throw in some free stuff (which was very nice of him). We asked for some extra posters and for our highlights to be uploaded on Vimeo (which seems to be the new trend nowadays, highlights are uploaded within a week after a couple's wedding). However, after 9 months (and multiple excuses, when their timeline said the video usually takes about 45 days) we finally got our videos to proof. We had sent them an example from Vimeo of the type of video we wanted (usually a 10 minute long video that tells the story of the couple's wedding day). What we got back was a 2 minute long video with very choppy shots put together...you can tell somebody did this in about 5 minutes...POOR QUALITY. When showing Harry another highlight video from his company that was done well, he tried to tell us that their editor was also the same editor that worked on our product. This was obviously untrue since the quality of the 2 videos was 2 different extremes. For the 3rd revision of the highlight video, it has taken about a month to redo a 5 minute video...unacceptable. If they are really backed up they should take the initiative to explain to their clients what the reason for the delay is, instead of waiting for their clients to contact them. About three or four months before my sons first birthday party, I started looking for a photographer. After looking through some local photographers and reading online reviews, I decided to go with Events Capture. The initial interaction was with the owner, Hari. One of my main concerns about the photography service was the timely delivery of the finished product. A year prior I had an experience with a photographer with my daughters birthday where it took over 8 months to deliver a finished album and DVD. I wanted to make sure this would not happen in this case. I was guaranteed that it wouldn't and that they have plenty of experience. After ironing out a few other details, the contract was signed and we were ready to proceed. The price of the service was not small by any means. The day of the event, the photographers showed up before the event and had everything ready to go. They were truly the highlight of the entire experience. They were friendly and very accommodating for what I requested. Certain moments i wanted them to focus on were captured. The photographers went above and beyond their duty. Afterwards is where things started to become interesting. We received an email from the company's assistant and was given a timeline of when things are expected from me and when their delivery timeline is. We received all of the images within a few weeks, and I quickly selected the initial pictures for enlargements and for the album. About a month or two after we were sent the layouts that were designed by the team. The edits needed of the layouts took some time on my part. Anyone with two kids and a full time job will understand why. The process was not simple and required us to upload images we wanted replaced into a USB and mail them to Events Capture along with details instructions of where the images should be. For some reason, I could not just tell the team which pictures I wanted and where to put them. Regarding the DVD, the information was provided including songs etc. When we received the initial copy about 6 months after the event, many of the items we requested were not done. Things as simple as adding our names to the beginning and a song sequence at the end were completely omitted. The edits were requested by me quickly after receiving the DVD. Well long story short, it took a YEAR AFTER THE EVENT to receive the finished Album and DVD! A FULL YEAR! And they would not send anything without a $300 balance being paid (out of over $3000). The thing that irked me the most was the attitude given by the owner and the assistant. I would receive emails from the assistant when album edits were not selected that we were in violation of their timeline. Yet their timeline went out the window when it came to delivering the product. This tells me that reviews often mean nothing. While the final product was good (not perfect), the level of service was poor. I would not use their services again and would not suggest using them. If you already have, enjoy the wait. read more

While wedding planning we kept hearing the advice "make sure you invest in a good photographer". We came across EventsCapture through a friend and seeing their work online caught our attention. Once we met with Harry, he showed us sample albums and was able to answer all our questions. He also had a very good understanding of how chaotic a South Asian wedding can be. The days leading up the event were filled with one checklist or another. The EventsCapture team is organized and clear in what they expect from the client. I knew exactly what information to give them and when. Their organization and reminder emails helped tremendously! Our three day wedding was both phenomenal and stressful. Day of each event was a race against time but both the photographer and videographer were calm and were able to make my husband and I feel comfortable enough to be able to genuinely smile in front of the camera! I think that's what I appreciate the most when I look back at the albums / videos - how carefree and happy we are in the pre-ceremony shoots when in reality we were (at least I was) stressed and distracted by what was happening with the decorator, DJ setup and everything else! They also had an amazing eye and were able to turn some questionable backgrounds into works of art! After the wedding the EventsCapture team provided us with our albums and videos in a timely manner. I have heard of some photographers who take ages to give you your pictures or that they stop responding to emails in a timely fashion after the event. I had no such issues with EventsCapture and they also worked with me to ensure that the album and video layout is exactly what I wanted it to be. A few months after our wedding I had already forgotten some of the details from our wedding weekend. Thank you EventsCapture team for literally capturing all the important moments from our wedding so that we can cherish them for all the years to come! I hired event capture for my wedding. Harry took over 2 years to give me my video. When I said, can you please just give me the raw footage, he said he couldn't retreave it. I called my lawyer, and was ready to take him to court. He sent me a video, with the worst edits I have ever seen. Things that you expect, like family, dance, dinner, to be in the video were not there, but people coughing, sneezing, yawning were in the video. I emailed him my comments and he refused to fix. I had to pay extra to get the raw footage, take it to another editor and have him make to my liking. Do not hire Harry, event captures, I had my wedding in 2014 January and got my movie in December of 2015. I spent 2 years worried about my movie. The video was not like what he has on his website. I spent about 700 on a lawyer to start court proceedings before he finally sent me a poor excuse of a video. read more

Used them for our wedding. Probably the worst decision ever made. Not only are they super pricy but their work sucks. My video volume goes low to super loud within seconds, and it gets blurry at certain parts. Our pictures are dark , my family is halfway cropped out of them, and the picture alignments are so out of proportion and they won't redo anything for me even after paying thousands of dollars to these thieves. They don't answer when you call unless you private call them and they take days to reply via email. I used them for my wedding three years ago and made a horrible mistake in referring 4 of my friends to him. At first prior and during signing the contract he was fine. However he did not show up to our engagement shoot which he stated he would. The issues started happening after my wedding and up to a year and a half later. When you negotiate with him he promises everything and will even sweet talk you. However, he never delivered on any of the promises and was complete unprofessional in his attitude with us. From the get go I told him I chose his company because he did cinematography work and that's what I wanted at my wedding. After our wedding I kept asking for a highlight video from him and his team and waited a year to get it. When it arrived it was just a bunch of our pictures collages together. When I confronted him about it he told me the word "cinematography" was missing from my contract. Again, from the beginning I was very open about what I wanted and he acknowledged that. But to wait 1.5 years after my wedding, 4 referrals, and countless emails back and forth to tell me I had one word missing from my contract and that's why he didn't bring the proper equipment to my wedding was completely unacceptable and unprofessional. I will never have those memories or day back in my life. After all that, he even had the nerve to raise his voice, mock, and argue with us. All my referrals had the same or worst issues with EC and Harry. There are much better, more talented, reputable photographers out there. DO NOT make the mistake I did by hiring EC and Harry to photograph/film the most important event in my life. Do NOT use EventsCapture or work with Harry Jay Pandya! read more

STAY away unless you have NO questions and are ready to bring a deposit and sign a contract. I am one of the few fortunate ones who actually had a face to face experience b4 signing the contract.Can u imagine if I had signed, and then had questions??When I originally contacted harry, he seemed very enthusiastic to work, He actually made me wait 2 hours and never showed up for a Saturday 12 pm appt. I waited over 2 hours in the area then finally had to leave. Made another attempt and met him for 30 mins to see what he had to offer etc. I convinced the groom's side too to go with him as well; he would have secured the Ceremony, the Bride's side dinner, as well as the Groom's reception the next day with mehndi and sangeet in between. 4 parties. we exchanged a couple of texts and then I indicated to meet one more time to space out everything, so there is no overlapping and sign the contract. My mistake i think was that I asked him for a copy first before I came in person to sign. what came after totally shocked me. To quote him exactly " this is too much back and forth for 2 parties. I will not meet again unless you bring a deposit and sign. this is too much back and forth for 2 parties." so he missed 2, 8 hour events; and 2, 5 hour parties. I asked the groom's side to stay away from him too. His work may be good, i will never know, but he definitely needs an attitude adjustment and needs to be more professional and understand that one definitely has to make sure everything is in place for their daughter's biggest day of her life. for them it is ONLY business. at least that is the impression he gave. My fiancé and I met with Harry prior to the wedding and I was very impressed with his professionalism and eagerness to understand what I wanted out of my photos. He was always very responsive to email and phone questions and made sure to make contact with us closer to the event to nail down specifics of location and timing. I was so thrilled when I arrived at the venue and he was already there scouting out pictures!! He did such an amazing job of posing and setting up shots so that they looked as flattering and beautiful as possible. He was very mindful of taking just the right amount of time with every group. When my sister got engaged to the man of her dreams I knew that as her older sister and made of honor the majority of the wedding planning was going to be my responsibility. I knew that she was already stressed with planning her dream wedding and decided to do whatever it took to make what she wanted happen. My sister and I were originally going to work with another photographer because we assumed working with a photographer who was from out of state would generally just add more stress for her wedding planning. We weren't sure if having a photographer who was based out of NY/NJ was such a smart idea at the time since we figured that would just add extra cost as far as hotel and travel arrangements for the photographer and crew would add up pretty quickly. When it came time to plan my sister's wedding I didn't bother to look around much. However, when I was researching other wedding related things such as makeup artists, wedding venues, and getting wedding photo ideas, I kept on coming across Harry's work that was recommended by mutual friends we had. I finally decided to give him a last minute call, just because I wanted to know what the hype was all about. We instantly clicked on the first phone conversation. We are both people persons, like the same things, and our personalities just meshed well. I showed my sister his work and she loved his style more than the first one. Harry also knows this other photographer well and was honest and said I really couldn't go wrong with either one. I was quite torn for a short while because they are both so talented, but what got me gravitating towards making the change to sign-up with Harry was ALL that he offered - from his photo package, his great/loyal assistant, my input in who the 2nd shooter would be, to his magazine type style. He is really strong at showcasing the subject in his photos and making them look great too. When her fiance met him, he instantly liked him too and told us that he's the one, lol. Yes, I'll admit he was their splurge for their wedding but he is so worth it. Heck if my sister and her fiance saw value signing up with him, then I promise you will feel the same too. Harry is extremely professional, energetic and creative. He is a ball of energy! And now, having seen his post-production results, I am made speechless by his versatility and the way his photography can tell a story. His angle is so unique compared to others I have seen and worked with, yet he incorporates some of the classic photos into the spread. Nothing is cookie cutter about him, he is a no-nonsense, true to his word, absolute hardworking guy. Harry continued his dedication to perfection in his editing, and because I have another "reputable" photographer's work to compare with, it is quite obvious how much more time Harry spends making sure every detail of the photos is beautiful. The only wrong decision my husband and I made in our 500 people wedding was to use events capture for our wedding. Everything was going well up and till we gave Harry our deposit and all of his money for the video and photography for 2 days of our wedding. On our wedding day Harry did not show up and his team showed up with no drone which was the whole reason we booked him and an extra videographer to handle the drone. Since their was no drone, we paid for an extra videographer for no damn reason. When we addressed the issue to him he gave us attitude and said the drone broke a few days prior to our wedding. If that was the case it would be nice of you to let us know so we can eliminate a videographer and get compensated back for it or rent a drone for us.. it's not our fault your drone broke. He tried compensating us with a small album which doesn't nearly cost as much as the drone or give us the footage we desperately wanted in our videos. Our video is horrendous it literally is a camera rolling for 3 hours with no editing no effects or anything. Our photos are not touched up at all either. Literally for the price that they charge you would assume they'll be damn good, but my 16 year old cousins can do better work than this.
