(+) She is flexible on going to location (+) She does weddings, engagements, photoshoots, documentary, headshots, food photography, newborns, boudoir, etc. Cons: (-) None. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I can't even begin to explain how amazing Sirin is to work with. I've used her services countless amount of times. I distinctly remember one time when I working on a celebrity photoshoot for a magazine, the original photographer that was hired to document behind the scenes did not show up. At a last minute whim, I had suggested to the Creative Director for the magazine to use Sirin since she was highly recommended to me. After he agreed, within a few minutes notice, Sirin rushed all the way to Brooklyn to be there. She saved the day and took amazing photos!!! She knew exactly what she was doing! Not only that, we got the photos within 2 days! I was ecstatic! I've hired her for several events since then and have not been disappointed since. She has a keen eye for capturing the most natural moments. I had even suggested her to my friends who are getting married to do their engagement photoshoot. I actually went with my friends to meet Sirin and I recorded the behind the scenes of the photoshoot which you can view here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6YeZq-E6Nv4 Sirin was so amazing! I couldn't believe how fast she was after that photoshoot. Her turn around time for those engagement photos was 3 days and my friends were in tears after seeing their engagement photos. I have to admit....I cried too! Don't judge. lol Hey...you would cry too! http://www.sirinsamman.com/Weddings/Weddingsetc/i-fNTc83h She has an impressive portfolio and I've seen her even work with celebrities such as Barbara Walters, Colin Powell, Julianne Moore, Claudia Jordan and more. I know this will not be the last time that I will work with her and I'm quite positive that I will have another updated review about her very soon.

We were beyond satisfied with every aspect of the process, from discussing our needs to the actual photo session, the consultative advice, and turnaround. Most importantly, Sarah nailed it with the final product, which exceeded our expectations! There are a ton of options to get a simple head shot taken, but after working with Sarah, I experienced the difference between someone snapping photos and a true creative professional who knows how to efficiently get the exact nuance of expressions and gestures that make a profound difference in the finished product. The turnaround time from photo session to looking at proofs and being able to use our photos was less than 48 hours, which was outstanding! Despite the fact that our need was quite small compared with event photography, we were treated as if we were a large customer. Working with Sarah Merians Photography & Video was first-rate in every way, and I will definitely work with them for my future firm, client, and personal photography needs!

Zero stars. Truly one of the most unprofessional and frustrating experiences I've ever had…read more I booked a spring photo shoot with my dog for Saturday morning and planned everything in advance -- grooming, hair, makeup, timing -- the whole thing. Sehee completely forgot about the shoot. I waited, called, and texted with no response, only for her to eventually call me back and casually say she had just woken up. When I asked what I should do, instead of taking accountability or trying to fix the situation, she asked to reschedule for the next day -- when it was supposed to rain, which is exactly why I carefully planned for today. At that point, I was already out time, money, and effort -- standing there fully ready with my freshly groomed dog -- for absolutely nothing. To make things worse, about an hour later she posted on Instagram that she was late to another photoshoot because she had partied too hard watching Coachella, but said it was "worth it." That is beyond disrespectful and completely unacceptable behavior for someone running a business. This was not just an inconvenience -- it was careless, unprofessional, and honestly insulting as a paying client. I expect a full refund immediately. I would strongly discourage anyone from booking here if reliability and basic professionalism matter to you.
