The place was nice, comfortable and the staff that I briefly interacted with were both pleasant and professional. All the requests that I new of were promptly and politely taken care of. So, for a participant, I enjoyed it. Also, they had drinks and snacks which were all top notch. Finally, we had a catered lunch. It was a solid meal. Not great, but probably top notch for what I would expect a catered hotel meal to be like. If you are looking for fine dining, you're in the wrong category. For an event space, it hit the mark.

The Chicken Thai Pizza was by far the BEST thing! Also, the grilled veggies which were cold were yummy, as well and not over seasoned or over dressed, just clean and let the natural flavors shine through. The pulled pork tacos was the worst food item. The bean tacos were even better :) Highly recommend this place for an event!

During the wedding, a couple friends came up to us and asked, disbelieving, "Where did you FIND this place!? It looks like you BUILT it especially for your wedding. It's just perfect!!" We felt the same way. It was exactly what we were looking for. The space is used as a photography studio during the day, and is used as an event space on weekends and evenings (I believe). It cost us about $3000 + extra fees (security, wait staff, etc), but was definitely worth it. We looked at several loft spaces in the area, and this was head-and-shoulders above the rest. The space is on the second floor of the building, which once served as a Buick dealership during the early 20th century. Remarkably, the space includes a great many original details, such as the car-sized elevator that used to bring cars up to the second floor showroom (VERY useful for bringing a/v gear, musical instruments, etc up to the space), while also feeling very hip and modern. The floors have been beautifully restored, and the colors of the space are very warm and inviting. Whoever restored the space did a fabulous job. We had both our wedding and reception at the space, and our 150 guests were accommodated quite nicely. I would strongly caution against many more than 150, however, or some of your guests won't have a place to sit. The wedding reception was held on one half of the loft, after which a curtain was drawn, and the space was reconfigured by the staff to function as a reception area, complete with tables, a DJ setup, etc. The changeover process took only 15 minutes, and we were able to entertain guests with some live jazz during the interim. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and Sandy, the event manager, is a dream to work with. Combine this space with flowers from Craig Sole Designs and catering by Chef Nancy Stark, and you're in for a wedding to remember. Everyone told us that our wedding blew them away, and I firmly believe that Berg Event Space was a huge part of our wedding's success.

Looking for a little touch of San Francisco in KC? Swing on by the Spring Accelerator!…read more This co-working space embodies everything you'd look for in an office that's not actually your office. It's got games, natural light, comfortable seating, fun events, and a great Crossroads location. Sometimes I think about what it means to have a positive work environment as someone who has been enslaved in beige and as someone who has worked from Loose Park on a 73 degree day. My verdict: Work environment means A TON! You need a place where you can feel creative. A vibrant place with smart people and fun colors, not a drab cubicle and a pot of day old coffee. Wednesdays are the open co-working day here, and you can simply buzz yourself in from the back of the Accelerator and make yourself (respectfully) at home. If I worked anywhere downtown, I would recommend to my boss and team that we should spend some time here just to shake it up and see what else is around us. Excited to have a spot to pop into and to change it up from my cat-filled home office!

The staff is amazing and actually did a great job of helping me feel calm right before my ceremony. I wish I could give them a 25.star rating. It was just absolutely amazing. We have a go-to photographer of our own, but really wanted a secular ceremony without all of the fuss. I didn't have to worry about a thing. Tell your guests where to go, when to show up, and they do the rest! You just get to show up and look pretty. Everyone was great about contacting us and they were able to play my music of choice at a reasonable volume. The ceremony was beautiful, the officiant was great, and the event host made everything run beautifully. My husband and I are so happy we found The Vow Exchange. We had communicated, even sent links to song samples and were told they were completely prepared. We were NOT looking for a concert as our wedding party was walking into ceremony and as A bride I didn't want to walk into someone singing loudly when I had selected a beautiful instrumental song. My photographer had to go tell him to correct the mess So everyone could walk out. A wedding is so important for first impressions to all guests and we were not pleased with how the event started. On a positive note DJ did keep people dancing at our reception like we asked. So he listened to that. Onky reason they get a 3 star review otherwise it would be 1-2
